Delicious bread with olive oil , and Shirley temple with some extra cherries. The dish I got was the crab raviolis very rich white sauce that at the end was perfect to use for any left over bread we had. Our server was friendly fast and knowledgeable sorry if I got your name wrong but i think she said nod (again really sorry) . The restaurant environment takes on a dressed up to fancy feel with Italian music and small candles at the tables. I have gone here before and have no complaints it's a great experience and would go again.

La Casa Pasta serves up fresh and very flavorful dishes. Whether you go for a salad, pizza, sandwhich, or pasta dish- you will never leave disappointed or hungry! The pasta portions are huge and every dish is so delicious! The staff here is excellent! Very attentive and super friendly.

It was my first time here. We ordered the sautéed calamari as appetizers. It was, in my opinion, too soft. Texture feels like they were frozen instead of fresh ones. Taste was ok but just too soft. The main dished were good. The best thing was that they were serve hot. The bread was also served very hot. They were good. Tiramisu for desert. It was ok, not the best I've had. Service was good though. Our waitress was friendly and courteous.

My Husband and I went there to celebrate his Birthday this past Saturday. We had not been there is several years, and were happily surprised with the food. It surpassed our expectations. They had a special stuffed zucchini flowers with ricotta and also a marinated artichoke heart dish. We ordered both of these, the zucchini flowers were light and airy, the marinated artichokes well seasoned and delicious. We also ordered the Nonna's meatballs because I remembered from past visits they were always good- still some of the best meatballs I have gotten in a restaurant. Their bread basket is always good and the warm garlic bread sticks with a touch of spice from the crushed red pepper are superb. I did not have nay room for an entree, but my husband had the Veal Parmigiana. He enjoyed it, but felt the sauce was a little sweet. He had requested the marinara sauce instead of the "sweet sauce", but feel he may have still gotten the sweet sauce. They had his absolute favorite dessert on the menu, a Ricotta cheesecake- which he said was fantastic. I ordered the molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. It was excellent, We were glad that we revisited this restaurant the has been around for years. I felt it was also reasonably priced. We will certainly be back again. Lastly our server Riley was attentive, sweet and knowledgeable,

Finally stopped in for the bottomless lunch buffet at the recommendation of my Italian coworker and I was mostly impressed by what I enjoyed. My roommates and I went around 1pm as that was the spot that we had reserved our table at though I know now that a reservation is not needed at all. Maybe it was the summer time and the nearby University of Delaware was out of session so a lot of the students are not there so many it does get full but that day it was pretty empty. Maybe the lunch rush had come and gone as there was only four other tables with patrons chatting with full stomachs as we got sat at an empty table. We knew that the buffet would be wrapping up soon at 2pm, it was what it was but I came in knowing that I would not have to fight over whatever was left. After a brief run through of how to enjoy the delicious freshly made items we were left to our choices as we walked around the table opening lids to see what was on the menu. Each day as I was educated by a staff member there is always two soups, two pastas, a fish and chicken hot dish. That day there was a seafood pasta with mussels which was quickly scooped up and devoured easily. There was cod for the fish dish which was light and flavorful on its own. I didn't grab a bite of the marinara chicken and ham but I will see if it's there next time. There was cold pasta dishes, fresh mozzarella balls and an assortment of salads that is always a stable on the menu. There was cream of potato and a slight variant of Italian Wedding soup which was pretty good to finish off the pretty carb-less meal that I enjoyed. Enjoy some of the pasta but with so many items to pick from you shouldn't enjoy a big plate of linguine. It seems that the cooks decide that day what they want to cook up. It is best that you call that day maybe the staff would be able to share some insight into what's on the menu. They do their best to cover all the dietary needs of Delawareans but again knowing what you are walking into helps. They seem to have large rooms for special events, some happy and others like that day to remember love ones. I would love to return to this place packed to the brim; everyone enjoying the delicious Italian food, glasses raised high to celebrate life's many joys and taking in the welcoming family atmosphere and décor.

Went for lunch and it definitely seems like it's more of a dinner restaurant! Our sandwiches at lunch were okay but the pasta entrees looked incredible!! They were doing a lunch Buffett until 2:00 with lots of pasta, fish, and salad on it. I had the pasta soup and it was amazing!! Lots of veggies and came out super hot. For entrees, we had the sausage and peppers sandwich which wasn't bad. The sausage had great flavor but it was so thinly sliced that it kept falling off the sandwich. It was on panini bread and pressed - it didn't have any sauce or cheese on it though. Ultimately, it wasn't bad at all!! I want to go back for dinner and get a pasta entree!

Also, if you've read my prior reviews, you know I always want my water glass filled and the waiter made sure that was the case. It's a small detail that added to the overall comfort of the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating a relaxed setting for dinner. The food was well-prepared and flavorful. The veal meatballs were tender, the olive oil and sun-dried tomato dip for the bread was unique and yummy, and the mushroom agnolotti stood out as especially delicious. In fact, I can't wait to go back and have it again. Also, since it was Valentines weekend they added a cute little lips design on top of my drink. Another memorable touch was the mini firework placed on the butterscotch custard to celebrate my birthday. It added a bit of fun to the end of the meal and made the occasion feel special. My partner had the cannoli for dessert and it was definitely enough for two! Overall, Taverna delivered a very enjoyable dining experience, and I would be happy to return.

They sell a lot of their own merch so that's what you first see when you walk in. They have a bar area as well. The dining area towards the back is very spacious. And they have seating to accommodate small-large groups. The dim lighting adds to the calm vibe of the restaurant. The service is so fast. I feel like every item came out so quickly. And the servers checked in pretty frequently to clear the table, ask you if you need another drink, dessert, etc. it did feel a bit rushed. As a starter they give you their Ciabatta bread and the sun-dried tomato oil. The oil was DELICIOUS. I literally bought a jar to take home. For my drink I got the Fresca. It was good, very refreshing. For my entree I got the Linguini & Clams. It was good, could've used a bit more salt but the sauce was good. For desert I got the boozy affogato and it was delish. Would definitely dine here again if I'm ever in the area.

Nobody seems to ever really be in here sadly but you seem to have a good amount of takeout customers and they are on the Slice app. We came in here before to celebrate my daughter's birthday. They have fresh bread when you walk in that you can purchase. The staff is always friendly and kind. They take Apple Pay. I usually call ahead and when I go to pick it up, it's always done or just getting done. You could tell the food is fresh and it's not processed. They actually care about their food and what they put out. We ate in the dining room recently. We both had chicken parm and it was amazing. They had fountain soda, yay. Prices were a little more than average I would think but not too expensive. I think it was about $60 for us both to eat. We were offered soup or salad with our meal. I chose the salad, but it was more like lettuce with one tiny half slice of tomato, which was kind of disappointing. I love the stromboli here and their cheesesteaks are really good. I would recommend eating in here for a quiet date night. They have tables and chairs and a back room to eat in as well. They are a stand alone location and you can park in their lot. Note. They have the best stromboli in the area and offer it in small and large size.
