The bone in wings were crispy with a nice crunch but a bit tough. The fries are like curly steak fries. They're actually pretty good but served without salt. They seemed a bit confused by my carry out order. I had to hold for them to check if "the kitchen was still open ". When I got there, the place was 3/4 full with patrons obviously ordering food. This place is a complete disaster. Three of us stopped in to have dinner and after ordering a couple of Italian subs and a small taco pizza the subs came out and I was told my pizza would be a few more minutes. Ok, no problem. A few minutes later the server came back & said the cook just said we don't have taco meat and then he just left so do you want something else. Hmm, ok, I tried a veggie pizza instead. Meanwhile the other people I was with were about done with their subs. After about 10 more minutes she came back again and said they basically were on their own all day with only one cook and she didn't know what was happening and couldn't tell me if the new pizza was even in the oven or not. There was no manager to talk to and she seemed to have zero concern that I was going to have nothing to eat. We ended up paying our tab and I was just out of luck and no one there could have cared less. It's clear the wings are cooked, kept under a heat lamp, refrigerated, then cooked again. They are tough and DRY. Wow how awful, I ordered 36, inedible. The wings are huge and could actually have been very good if cooked properly. Drinks were good. Maybe keep the cooler door shut so the mixers stay cold. I know expectations aren't high here, it's a drive thru for Pete's sake but if you're going to offer food then make it palatable. They advertise having Ketel One botanicals but they do not. The melted cheese on the tater tot's was NOT hot, it was coagulated. Summer shandy was flat, let's change the keg folks. I'm glad we tried this place, in spite of some less than "stellar" reviews. Small(ish) place (nice covered patio for warmer weather) but some great menu choices, and we experienced fine, attentive service on a surprisingly busy Monday evening. While neither of us ordered their namesake wings (next time!) we did enjoy a happy hour priced app. of their garlic bread, which was more like a cheesy pita/na'an pizza. If you order pizza, this might not be your top choice, but it was good-- more cheesy than garlicky, really. They've got some top-notch pizza choices (no, I promise, I'm NOT really a pizza snob and can recognize GOOD pizza when I see/taste it!!) and we went for the roasted veggie "Grateful Dead" 12" pizza. Extra cheesy (I think they mixed in brie with the standard mozzarella mix...) and awesome, FRESH tasting veggies, not a bad choice at all. The Mister was happy with the craft beer choices, and his fish and chips were "good, not greasy," and he only wished the portion had been a bit larger. Not that big a place, so I'm sure it gets CRAZY on weekends, but all in all a fine experience here at the Wing Bar. We'll be back...!! read more

Have given this place two tries and each time has been a failure. First time I ordered 3 side salads, the Philly sub, and two orders of wings. Wings were cold, and was not spicy enough for the spice level selected. I ordered the full size Philly and only received half (have yet to receive the refund that I was told would be receiving) and one of the 3 salads had wilted/brown lettuce. Placed a second order about a month later and went to pick it up through drive thru. Was told never received order, even though I had confirmation and paid for it. Was forced to come inside where a waitress told me they had no internet. While the second failure was not all their fault (assuming it was a technical issue) the waitress offered ZERO solutions and acted like she didn't want to be bothered by it. She could have easily said to cancel the order via the app, place the order at the counter and just give them a few min to get it prepared. read more

Our group of 6 stopped in after a canoe trip. The waitress was nice and drinks were received in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered and waited... and waited... and waited. We asked several times when our food was going to be served with no real time given. As we were just about to go here comes the food. But wait, not we wait for utensils and napkins because the hour food prep time wasn't enough to supply the table with eating utensils. Food was decent, but will not be back. We went here last night for my husband's birthday with 2 of our kids. When we arrived there were 4 tables already seated and a couple sitting at the bar. There were 2 waitresses working. We take a seat and after being walked by several times without even being acknowledged I finally take a menu that was laying on another table. We looked it over a bit before our waitress finally arrived and took our drink order. When asked what they had on draft my husband was handed a beer list that was clearly outdated. Only 2 of the beers listed were actually available. When asked what IPA's they had it was obvious our waitress had no clue what an IPA was. To make it less aggravating he ordered a Sam Adams. My son kept it real simple and ordered a bud light. After a third attempt to ask for a Beefeater and tonic with lime my daughter had to explain it was gin. It arrived with no lime. I knew it was pointless even asking for one. I'll live. We ordered 3 appetizers which arrived fairly quickly. No napkins, no plates and when asked for a couple ranch dressing to accompany our food we got 1. We got a drink refill at this point. After that our service completely stopped. We sat watching food come out for people who came in after us. We watched our waitress walk by multiple times without asking if we needed anything, an apology for the long wait, nothing. In the meantime, a group of 4 came and sat behind us. The girls were obnoxiously loud! We listened to them screaming for a good 45 minutes before we left. No one ever told them to pipe down. I felt as though I was back on Court St. on a Saturday night at Ohio University. I finally had to step outside to smoke. I was so irritated and didn't want to ruin my husband's birthday by making a scene. As I left, no one had a beverage left. A party of 3 had walked in and looked around and waited for a bit in hopes they would be acknowledged and a table would be cleaned off. They finally left as I stood outside. No one ever acknowledged their presents. An hour and 45 minutes into our stay we were done being ignored and unfed. Our waitress FINALLY comes up and says "sorry about the wait, can I get you another drink?" I told her no, we were done waiting. We wanted the check. She walks off and she sends the other waitress over to talk to us. Mind you, no one was rude or loud to her. She just didn't want to face us again or just had no clue what to do. At any rate, the other lady comes over and tried to explain the situation. She was very nice about it. Something that would have gone a long way with our own waitress as we sat neglected for a ridiculous amount of time. Our bill included all the food we never saw. I went out to sit in the van. I was too irritated to deal with it. (Side note: as the waitress was talking to us she clearly had trouble hearing us due to the screaming ninnies behind us) My husband finally took the bill up front, told them to take the dinners off (our waitress was apparently planning on giving us our food to go!!!). The 2nd waitress offered us no discount for what we DID get but offered us a discount for our next visit. That offer was turned down flat. There is no way in Hell we will ever return. And as we were sitting in the van ready to leave, the cook came huffing out the door looking around as though he was going to confront someone about not wanting food to go after an almost 2 hour ordeal!! Total redneckery at it's finest. There was no manager on duty, on a busy Saturday night. The lack of proper training was evident by the lack of knowledge of the items offered and the lack of any service while being made to wait a ridiculous amount of time. 3 tables a piece is NOT "getting slammed" by any stretch of the imagination. A sincere explanation earlier on and being attentive to our needs would have changed our experience a great deal. Had we had a drink instead of an empty glass the wait would have almost tolerable. Had a manager been present to let the idiots behind us know it was a restaurant and not a frat house that would have saved a ton of aggravation. There are too many good,independently owned restaurants in town trying to make a living while giving their customers the service they deserve and their employees the proper training they need. We will not spend a dime supporting a business that could care less. The constant turnover in staff should have been a clue for us. This place went from a high rating to a 1 in a very short period of time, for us. read more

Ok, stopped here after walking around Cedar Bog Nature Preserve. Waitress was very nice. Food not so good. We had the calamari appetizer. Which wasn't very flavorful, and it needed some seasoning. The chicken wings were under cooked. My wife liked her pizza. I had the shrimp platter. All the item on the platter seem very poor quality store bought items. I will never come back!! Every single time I come I spend over $60 and never get what I order but this time I've had it. I ordered a Crispy Chicken Salad with ranch. I don't bother checking it and I don't know why I didn't because EVERY time I order, it's wrong. This time I've completely had it. This salad came in 4 different side containers but okay I can get over that and came with GRILLED chicken on a CRISPY chicken salad. This time I specifically asked if it would have tomatoes on it because the past 2 times I've order, it didn't. This time I got the tomatoes but GRILLED unseasoned chicken that literally looks like it was taken straight out of the freezer and thrown straight into a fryer. I tried calling the first time they didn't answer and the second time they answered the lady argued with me that I ordered grilled chicken on a CRISPY chicken salad. This isn't the first time we've had issues either. I've ordered a Willy Nelson pizza that clearly states it comes with breaded chicken and have gotten whatever the hell they call "grilled chicken". We've been here a few times. The craft beer selections is decent, the décor is nice, and the service is good. My only complaint is that there are no healthy-eating options on the menu. I try not to eat fried foods, and we would definitely visit more often if something as simple as a grilled-chicken salad was on the menu. read more
