Had the opportunity to try Little King Coffee prior to our drive back home and we are in love!! Found in The Post Montecito, Little King Coffee is situated with a nice patio with comfy seating. There is plentiful of free parking in the adjacent parking lot as well as street parking (just across from the great nature trail around the bird refuge). Staff are friendly and helpful and craft fantastic coffee based beverages. For brunch we had the Jammy Egg toast which was incredible. The flavor of the aioli spread with the jammy egg and sprigs of fresh dill was incredibly tasty. We also had the breakfast sandwich which had perfectly cooked egg and scrumptious biscuit as the bread. Definitely would recommend both. Iced latte and the rosemary orange hot latte were fantastic. Loved the overall ambience of both the cafe and location. Can't wait to come back!! read more

The good: I had a rosemary orange latte with whole and a garden mint latte with 2% milk. The first latte was very fragrant. The temperature was great, the latte art was great, and the syrup flavor options were so fun. The interior and exterior decor were immaculate. I loved the mallard rocking ducks outside the front door for the kids. The exterior tables (with marble tops) and chairs were beautiful and I was surprised that they were being used as outdoor tables because I am sure the elements with weather them down fast. I liked the cute design touches inside like the hand painted trim on the windows, the art, and the plants. They played country music inside. There was plenty of parking. The surrounding area is gorgeous with lots of tall trees. The bad: The mint latte could've used a little more mint flavor. I tried the biscuit and egg sandwich as well as the Dijon mustard toast with ham. I thought both were subpar to what I was expecting. The bread slice was thick, the ham was cold, and it could've used more of a spread or sauce. The biscuit tasted microwaved. The drinks came in beautiful orange glasses but I think it made the volume slightly smaller. The interesting: The bathroom is outside of the coffee shop but is very clean and nice. Went here with a friend who loved it. His latte was excellent and he was pleased with the atmosphere. I,on the other hand, am lukewarm. My iced mint matcha was way too iced and very bland. Nothing special, and ooooo pricey! Baristas were lackluster. Not a real cafe either. A very curated style with good merchandising and that cool white interior that is getting boring. The outside patio seating is lovely with big umbrellas and comfortable chairs. View is peaceful. In a newly remodeled shopping center that is disappointingly designer boutique focused. As a fan of the Little King in Buellton, I was very excited to stop by their new location in Montecito! I came around 10am on a Monday and there a nice amount of people here enjoying breakfast. Seeing the menu ahead of time, I knew I'd order an iced latte and the blackberry toast (which is exactly what I ordered). I took a seat at one of the tables inside while waiting for my order. My latte came out very quickly and my toast followed suit a few minutes later. The toast was sooooo delicious. I'm usually skeptical of trying sweet toasts at a cafe. However, this toast was sooo good! The labneh provided a slightly sour bite that balanced well with the blackberries. The toast itself had a crunchy exterior, soft interior, and a perfect buttery taste. My latte was perfect (as expected heh). Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to Little King Coffee in Montecito. I could make this place a daily visit if my budget allowed it! I absolutely love this new coffee place. The location is across the way from the bird refuge and the surrounding area is a serene vibe. Although, the bird refuge may give off a slight stench due to the water and birds. But it won't linger for long in the air lol. On my visit, I ordered a simple drip coffee and a Harvest Breakfast sandwich. I added bacon, which was a great call. This sandwich is served on a soft delicious biscuit that is made locally. The egg is fluffy and the bacon completes this meal. It was delicious and the perfect way to start my day. They also offer a variation of Avocado toasts. Some with fruit and the traditional. A small selection of cookies and baked goods are also available. Restrooms are on site. Just be sure to ask for the code. Customer service was fast and friendly. What a wonderful place to come and take some friends. It is probably not as busy on the weekdays. The toast with the almond butter was worth trying with a friend over yummy lattes. Yes, it is a little pricier but it is SB in a great location. Plus, as usual with my review endings, the parking is super easy and accessible. read more

Super cute coffee shop with food, pastries, and drinks. I went on a rainy Saturday morning, and it was quite busy! I ordered their iced latte with their rosemary orange syrup. Unfortunately, I think they forgot the syrup because I could not taste it at all. My friend got their mocha and said it mostly tasted like milk. Their blackberry toast was a bit disappointing; the flavor was kind of one-note. I wanted much more labneh and blackberries. I would've loved more berries... it was just 3 blackberries cut in half. We had to try their breakfast sandwich too! The biscuit was soft and buttery, and the egg was thick. Added avocado for an extra $3. I feel like this was missing a sauce because it felt a little dry. It came with a hot sauce, but in my opinion, it had little to no flavor. It just added a slight kick. Overall, not bad, but expensive for the small portions. read more

Everyone was really sweet! However, the coffee was not the best. I ordered an iced americano and the coffee taste was non existent. It felt like a cup of iced water. We tried an iced matcha latte with brown sugar cardamom and an iced vanilla latte. Both drinks looked beautiful, and the café itself was very clean and well-kept, but unfortunately the flavors fell a little flat. The matcha latte mostly tasted like oat milk with only a faint hint of tea, and the vanilla latte had a surprisingly stronger coffee flavor than the matcha but still was a little bit more drowned out with the milk...there really wasn't much matcha taste at all in the matcha latte...For the $16 total, I don't think I'd recommend it. I do wish they'd consider adding an extra gram or two of matcha, even if it meant serving in a slightly smaller cup. it would make a big difference in depth and balance. Overall, a pretty space with potential, but I hoped the drinks would've wowed me a bit more. read more

The esthetic was nice but that's not why I came to Little King Coffee. I paid $13 for a Chai Latte that tasted watered down and a plain iced coffee. After seeing customers come and go I soon realized my order was completely forgotten about. Staff appeared disinterested/laughably casual. When I was finally noticed awkwardly waiting around, I was asked if I had been helped. It wasn't until I said I was waiting on my order that it finally got worked on. Best breakfast toast everrrrr! We came here on a weekend vacation and the blackberry toast was perfect. I'm still thinking about it hours later... I can't figure out how to replicate it and I'm gonna have to plan another trip to Santa Barbara just to indulge this. Also, fantastic service, perfect setting. Little King now wears the crown for my favorite coffee shop in town! Let's talk coffee first -- The espresso at LK is tasty, balanced, and not bitter. That, combined with perfectly steamed milk and a house-made syrup (Madagascar Vanilla, Brown Sugar Cardamon, Rosemary Orange, or Garden Mint), creates a wonderful and scrumptious cup of coffee. The baristas are friendly and accommodating while also being excellent at their craft. The drip is reliably good, and while I am not much of a matcha fan, my matcha-crazed friends all swear by the quality of their root. Now let's talk food --  The breakfast sandwich. Is. Phenomenal. A pillow-soft biscuit is graced by a fluffly farm-fresh egg, high-quality American cheese, and, if you so choose, salty boutique bacon from the Santa Ynez Valley. The result is an irresistibly delicious breakfast sandwich perfect for enjoying with a flat white on a slow Saturday morning in Santa Barbara. Other notable menu items include the ham and cheese toast, the coffee cake, and the chocolate chip cookie! Lastly, ambiance --  The inside of LK is meticulously designed with an eye for beauty and comfort. The four stools at the bar are my favorite. You can chat with the baristas and owners while they make your cup of coffee, and it feels like you are just one of the family. The outside has lots of seating for big groups and quiet hangouts. If you're looking for food, it's best to be there early on a weekend and it can get so busy that they will sell out of food. Definitely worth a visit! read more

The atmosphere is the best thing about this place as it's comfortable and next to the bird sanctuary. The menu is ok but very pricey. A latte that costs $6 at Starbucks costs $8.50 here. The valley breakfast biscuit sandwich costs $11 for just egg and cheese. The ad showed it with bacon and avocado. The service was slow even though it wasn't very crowded. All in with tip my latte and biscuit cost almost $25. There are so many other good places to get code and breakfast in town. None are inexpensive but certainly less pricey than this place. read more

Major growing pains here! I understand (sort of) how on my first visit on opening weekend they were ENTIRELY out of food by 10:30 AM but for some odd reason the owner seems to have hired newbie baristas. That is the only way to explain on my second visit a week later, the grindingly looonnnggg wait for our coffee and food order when it was not packed and there were 3 baristas. On to the food. I ordered the AB & J Biscuit (almond butter, jam on a biscuit). I even spoke the word biscuit out loud when I ordered. Why is that important? Because, what came, 10 minutes after the latte that took 15 minutes!!! was almond butter and jam on toast. I thought it was a mistake but when I took it back inside someone behind the counter said, "Oh we don't have anymore biscuits!" So I said, "Well why didn't the person taking my order tell me that?!! I would have ordered something else!" The response was, "Well what you got was cheaper!" Giving away the fact that the person taking the order knew they were out of biscuits and charged me less. How irritating! On the plus side the coffee is good and the little deck with umbrellas is nice if you can get a table. read more
