Starters: 1. Fried Quail - Crispy yet juicy. Very well seasoned 2. Laos Sausage - Fragrant lemongrass notes with a slight spicy kick. Perfect snap Entrees (medium spicy): 1. Beef Laab - Tender beef and tripe tossed in bright lime juice and bean sprouts 2. Pork Pad Kra Pao - Savory ground pork with a nice runny egg (additional charge) 3. Mixed Vegetables (mild) - Perfect texture and a beautiful wok hei aroma. A great addition to the spiciness from the other dishes 4. Chicken Panang - Creamy curry with a savory coconut flavor. This is an adorable restaurant off the historic Route 66. The outdoor patio area looked quite inviting but we opted for an inside table. LAOTIAN SAUSAGE w STICKY RICE was the star of the show here. It was very flavorful and the side tomato sauce packed a punch! We also ordered SPICY PAPAYA SALAD, BEEF YUM SALAD, and SUMMER ROLLS. All dishes were expertly made. OMG this casual Lao restaurant is the bomb! They have their own free parking lot. Plenty of spaces early on weekday at dinner time. Clean casual ambiance. Inside seating on tables. Various choices on the menu. Everything I tried was perfectly cooked and extremely delicious and satisfying. That Angel Wing appetizer is "slap your mama" delicious. All dishes are worthy of being served at a higher end restaurant. So glad this is a fast casual restaurant with outstanding Laotian cuisine. Definitely worthy of repeat visits or order via Uber Eats. This place is one of the best Lao places we've ever been to! The service was amazing, food was incredibly delicious and flavors are balanced in each dish. I would definitely recommend this gem to everyone who is craving Thai/ Lao food. Their medium spicy was spicy (for someone who doesn't eat much spice) but was wayyy too good to quit eating. First of all, it's very clean and put together. It was our first time going and we will definitely be back. Service was quick and we didn't have to wait too long. The Pad kra pao is good, wish we would've gotten lao spicy level, because the medium was not spicy enough for us. Iced coffee is too sweet, but the Thai tea was perfect. Stumbled upon this cute and unexpected Asian eatery in Amarillo via Route 66 of all places. The food was very authentic and the service was superb! Both the server and the owner came and checked on us a few times and genuinely wanted to make sure our foods were fine. We ordered the chicken soup (outstanding), pad see-u noodles with beef (tender), and the papaya salad. We would come back again o our next road trip for sure! My brother and I had a fantastic lunch today. The place was packed and the servers were a bit stressed. Regardless, the food was excellent. The spring rolls were good. The Kra Pao Chicken was different than any other restaurant in area. It was very good. It needed a sauce to blend with the rice- but great flavor. The Panang Curry was great. It was full of protein and not packed with vegetables except bell peppers. I'm tired of Thai restaurants that provide canned panang sauce, tomatoes, and any cheap vegetables they can put in the panang as a filler. Little Laos Panang Chicken has more chicken and curry than vegetables. It's pretty awesome. You can tell they actually make the curry broth in house. Not to hot. Wonderful read more

We were very disappointed. We read all the reviews about Little Laos and couldn't wait to try it. Looked so yummy; especially the pad Thai. As we sat down, the very kind staff greeted us and we were quickly able to get our dinner ordered. After about 15 minutes the waitress told us that there are some challenges in the kitchen, and the food will be coming out soon. Not a problem as my wife and were enjoying our delicious appetizer. When the food finally arrived, it was awful! The pad Thai looked burned, and the noodles were not cooked. The pad Thai was black and not golden brown. We also had a rice and beef meal. The "beef" was ground beef smashed to little pebble like structures that was extremely dry. Our meal looked nothing like previous FB posts or pictures on yelp. Our bad, we didn't complain. Not our style. However, when the cook was walking around to see how patrons were enjoying his cuisine, he gave us an odd look and asked if it was good. We didn't seize the opportunity. Uncommonly GOOD. Take it from a SE Asian. Here in town for a few days. Tried this restaurant twice now. Menu is simple but Khun Bo makes his food really tasty. The Spring Rolls are crisp and fresh. The Chicken Larb was just the right mix of tastes. The Chicken Noodle Soup was uncannily delicious. Never had this version anywhere else. The soup reminded me of "Joke" or "Khao Tom". Cute little eatery, and super clean! Asked our waitress, Aylin, for some recommendations, and they did not disappoint. Perfectly fried spring rolls, followed by pad thai for me, and an enormous bowl of pho for the husband. I took some of my generous portion of pad thai home, and it was STILL delicious the next day. We will be back soon because there is so much on the menu that we want to try. Name might have "little" but it's BIG flavor!! Went with a couple of friends so we ordered family style. Dancing shrimp, green curry with chicken, a dish I think called Bho (?). Not Pho. This is a meat a vegetable dish. Never had it before but OMG. The flavors! Only drawback is it's a little more upscale than the other Thai places I go to. There portions are smaller, compared to others and it's more expensive. Little Laos won't become my "go to" due to portion size and price but I'll definitely be back, if just for that meat and vegetables dish I mentioned. read more

We casually stumbled upon Little Laos and we were NOT disappointed! My wife and I shared the beef jerky app which was the best beef jerky we've ever had.
