I had the chance to check these guys out tonight at Angel City Brewery and I was stoked. My wife and I started out with two Queso Sliders for myself (2 for $7) and she had two tacos (one was a Mojo Strip Steak and the other was Pork Belly). We both devoured ours and thought they were simply amazing. Tempted to try more of their offerings, I went back a bit later and picked up two Curry Yogurt Lamb tacos which I think were my favorite all night. We really were excited about little Lily's Kitchen for our wedding. Overall our food was delicious, but they didn't deliver on a few of promises that were made. Little Lily's was very communicative from the beginning of the booking process. It is very cool how they make every menu item custom to you. We wanted a lot of different things, a wide range of appetizer ideas, and Kari and Kevin were super creative and somehow incorporated most of our ideas. The menu they came up with was excellent and it was personal to us. The food during our trial was incredible and we were so excited about the final product. The appetizers and cocktails ended up being the highlight of our service. The entrees were very close in quality to what we saw at the trial and people seemed to be very happy with them once they were served. The issues we had could be attributed to our wedding size. We had a really large wedding, 200 people, and our large wedding may have overwhelmed this small catering team. Some of the service was a bit slow for the seated meals, and a few miscues regarding our toasts and specialty drinks left our bar lines long and some champagne glasses empty. I am sure though that this team will work to avoid this in the future. While the day of did not end up living up to our expectations set at our trial, overall the food was still very good and unique to us, the service was just not as on point as we would have liked. It is nice to have a menu that stands out from the typical wedding food. We have amended this review after corresponding with Little Lily's following the wedding. We were impressed with their follow up, so we have amended our review and hope that they will take the lessons learned at our wedding to other couples. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this review. Kevin and Kari and their staff are absolutely amazing. From the moment that I met them, I was bowled over by their kindness, humor, and willingness to bend over backwards to help in whatever way possible. When we had to switch our event to a completely different day they were even accommodating in helping to change everything and make sure that we were ready to go. But beyond their attentiveness before the actual event...their professionalism and level of fun was something that I will never forget. Kari and Kevin were the best caterers! All of our wedding guests (150) loved the food and it was about as electric as it gets for a wedding. Among some of the food we had were gumbo, pizza rolls, Vietnamese shaken beef and latkes. They were very nice and accommodating. They helped us thru various freak outs and helped us find our dinner service rentals. Just a word of warning, they are a small and intimate catering company. This means that sometimes they were hard to get a hold of- which makes sense. They are probably at an event, catering on weekends and will not be able to get back to you immediately. First, I just have to start by saying my event I hosted Sunday was a crazy success and so many people wanted cards for the caterer that they literally RAN OUT OF CARDS. Kevin and his wife Kari were a dream to work with. Incredibly responsive and creative with me which I loved! I wanted a brunch theme for my mom's 60th birthday and it was more than I could have even hoped for. The food was RIDICULOUSLY good and the displays, which I was very particular about, were fantastic! We also had an omelet station and, wow, they cook a mean omelet. The hash with chorizo was a fan favorite and everyone loved the mini French toasts in a cup with syrup (yum!). My mouth is watering while I write this review just thinking about that food again! Our son-in-law loves the culinary arts, and was immediately impressed with Kevin and Kari's (co-owners of Little Lily's Kitchen) responsiveness, and openness to customizing the menu to reflect our wishes. I have been to many weddings who used very popular and expensive catering companies. I asked those companies for quotes for my own wedding and balked at the insane pricing. After our wedding planner set up a meeting with him, Kevin came to my house and cooked up some fantastic healthy, summery and fresh recipes (per my request on food type, because I hear he does some pretty killer grilled cheese/food truck type options as well!) and I couldn't stop eating the samples!! While tasting the moist crab cakes and teriyaki dippers my house, I didn't believe that Kevin would be able to pull the freshness of those samples into my wedding to feed our 150 guests. He not only pulled the freshness through, but I got multiple comments from guests saying this was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. We did family style with Alabama BBQ chicken (TO DIE FOR), flank steak with chimichurri, and an assortment of other light and fresh salads, breads...I COULD GO ON... and it was all lovely. I felt bad because our budget wouldn't allow us to pay him more than we did, and I want him to know they were our absolute favorite vendor - and we could have doubled the price if we could have afforded it. From the start, the interaction between myself, Kari, and Kevin was very professional and they worked hard to get me exactly what I asked for. We had a summer party and a variety of tacos were featured along with roasted corn, beans and rice, salsa/guacamole/chips, appetizers of empanadas and jalapeño poppers! There were vegan options for the tacos and appetizers. We also had a bartender that poured delicious Cadillac Margaritas! There were so many positive comments about all the food! All the servers were dressed professionally and made things happen without having to ask. All the tables were constantly bussed and kept clean for our guests. The head server was Richard, and upon arrival immediately completed all the party set-up by putting the linens on the tables and getting the chairs set.
