After flashing my card over the device and then putting in my pin number i glanced above me. Not four feet above me was a camera that was pointed down on the counter. It recorded both my number off my debit card and my pin number that I manually put into the device. Since no one was around me at that time I didn't think that I should need to be careful when putting my Pin number into the device. When I asked the owner why a camera was recording at such a close proximity she told me it was to record cash transactions. I then told her that it was also recording both my debit card number and my pin number. She told me the camera would not be able to see my numbers. I then informed her that I am an electrician. That I have installed many cameras in the past and know that a camera four feet away can see every detail. She then got defensive and started raising her voice. I went home and cancelled my card. Now I have to wait a week for the bank to send me a new one. Will absolutely never go to this store again !!!

Their reds (wine) are definitely a better selection than their white. Though they do have some decent Chablis. Their white are ok...lots of new world pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. Lots of Sauvignon Blanc but from the new world such as New Zealand. They have very little Sancerre (Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley). An ok selection of Riesling, most of it is sweet but Riesling can also be bone dry and I didn't see any of that. No Chenin Blanc either. When it comes to dessert wines, they have sweet Moscato but not really anything from a producer to brag about. They have only really expensive Port or really cheap Tawny Port. I wish and I mean WISH they would carry some Sauternes (dessert wine only made in france). They have 2 Passito wine (sweet wine from Italy) One was good Donnafugata Ben Rye which was out of my price range and the other was a Trebbiano based Vin Santo (which is also good though not as good as the other one.) I really need to talk about the service here. I REALLY REALLY REALLY think they don't know what they have. I bought a DOC Sicilian Carricante which I was expecting to pay a bit for but they only charged me 6.99 for that bottle which confused me and I double checked to make sure I picked the right one. I mean it's great that I got a good steal but that bottle should have costed me (and goes retail) for around 35-40 dollars. I know you're thinking why I'm complaining but it would be nice with a better selection and if they knew what they had but HEY if you wanna sell me 40$ bottle for 7 bucks. I'm all for it. Not a blink. Nothing. Now I understand life can be less then great. Especially now with the world the way it's been the past year, but when you run a business & someone is spending their hard earned money in your establishment a little bit of common curiosity can go a long way. A quick trip down Merrick Road took me to Country Wide Beverage in Valley Stream. Noticing the size of the place, I decided to journey in. Although the parking lot can only accommodate up to 4 cars (or perhaps 12 bikes), it's well worth the effort to come here. First of all, hours here are terrific! On weekdays, they're open as late as 9pm (and open as early as 8:30am). Compared to other beverage barns in the area, that's not bad at all! Second of all, the service is great! Especially with nobody in the store, the owner came over and asked if I needed any help finding what I needed. In mentioning I wanted to try a good stout, he showed me a few options and asked what my preferences would be for stouts. After showing me a few choices, he ended up taking me over to a part of the store that served Ommegang. Knowing a few friends, including Josh G., who visited this brewery in Cooperstown and has great things to say, I decided to give it a shot (and was very impressed that they offered that brand). The staff is very friendly, personable and upbeat. They're great! Finally, the beer selection here is immense! Looking for a good national staple (Bud, Corona, Guinness, Stella, Heineken)? They've got you covered. Want something closer to home like Brooklyn Brewery or Ommegang? No problem. Looking for a good German beer? They've got Dunkel and more! How about a nice ale from the U.K.? You can find Wells (including Banana Bread ale, one of my favorites) and more. I'm really just scratching the surface here. The options are immense! Prices here are not all that shabby either, very similar to what you might find at other beverage barns. Between the service, hours and beer selection here, there's no reason to pass up this venue. The total rang to $11 and they have a $15 minimum for credit cards, which is illegal. I asked her to take it and she had an attitude. And then when I said you're just gonna not take my business and let me walk away, she complained that I didn't put the ice back with an attitude. Nice customer service and there's plenty but will be distributors around town!!
