Highly recommend. The chicken biscuit was okay. The honey butter made it extremely messy, plus it was so tall, it was hard to eat. I would prefer chicken breast to chicken thigh and didn't think the chicken was well-seasoned. The biscuit is very good, but the overall chicken biscuit is not as good as Bird Bird Biscuit. The standalone biscuit is good. I like how the biscuits are crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The biscuit cinnamon roll is not great. It has plenty of icing but the roll itself is very hard. Might be better if it was served warm. My dogs enjoyed the dog biscuits. My other critique is how expensive this place is. Best biscuit I've had in a long time. The last time I waxed poetic about a biscuit was when I had biscuit Sammie from A Baked Joint in DC. I highly recommend the sausage egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. The biscuit is crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. The egg is well seasoned and so fluffy and sausage is also so tasty. We also tried the spicy Fried Chicken biscuit, which I liked, but my boyfriend thought it was too oily and under seasoned. Plus we think we might have liked a juicy chicken breast more rather than thigh. We ordered takeout, and the sandwiches were made efficiently and easy to pick up in the bins on the right of the register. I like the low contact process. I've been back here several times because I absolutely love their cinnamon roll ($5). Well this morning I decided to order one and when I got there I thought coffee might be good. They said they offered coffee and I was about to get one when the cashier said "that'll be $6.40". I looked at her and said "Oh I paid online it's now just the coffee". She then told me that was the price of the coffee. I was astonished. How can a small cup of brewed coffee with plain old half-and-half (not no fancy Starbucks) be $6.40?!? Needless to say, I declined the coffee and left. Like I've said previously I like the items I've had so far but their pricing with the additional "employee wellness" charge plus tax can make the experience way over-priced in my humble opinion. Finally got the chance to try out Ola's this morning and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We got the biscuits and gravy special. The biscuits were wonderful; crispy and crunchy on the outside with tender, fluffy insides. That texture contrast was totally working for us. The sausage gravy was creamy with chunks of country sausage and a bit of heat. Our cold brews were a bit bitter for our liking but lots of folks like it that way. I stopped by after haven been disappointed several months ago. I should have just keep crushing. I tried their sweets thing, forget the name, but sounded tasty. It is deep fried biscuit dough with sweet on it. For SIX bucks I got the equivalent of six shredded wheat sized bites. The " to cold to spread" icing is larger in size than the food. I've been missing Olamaie's biscuits, so I was super excited to discover this place had opened up recently. The food is excellent -- we got the fried chicken biscuit; the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit; and the summer salad. The chicken was nicely fried and flavorful -- beautifully juicy dark meat that goes fantastically with the honey butter they include. The summer squash salad was a nice portion for 2 people to share, and it was super refreshing and balancing to have with the heavier biscuits. A review that is long overdue. Little Ola's has been our default lunch option on the weekends and they have been pretty consistent. You can either drive over and order at the counter, order online at their outdoor picnic tables, or order online and pick it up from their bins. They're pretty fast, so we usually order online, make the 15 minute drive, and it'll be ready to be picked up and eaten there. We usually get the Fried Chicken Biscuit. The chicken thighs are always super tender and delicious with their honey butter. Just need to keep in mind that at the end of the payment process, their prices will automatically include a 20% employee wellness charge. read more

I work and live in the wells branch neighborhood so I try very hard to support local neighborhood businesses, and I have tried little olas several times. The food is okay, the biscuits are heavy and greasy. More like a scone than a biscuit and the place smells horrible. They clearly have a sewage issue, the resteraunt literally smells like an outhouse. The raw sewage odor is so strong it made me nauseous. read more

I hate giving bad reviews but I feel like after our second and LAST experience at Little Ola's I have to say something. Our first time coming here, we had the pleasure to meet the manager or the owner, he was great, treated us very well and even gave us the "neighbor discount". We ordered three PB&J sandwiches and they were amazing. We spent weeks dying to go back. We finally went back a few weeks later. We ordered the same. The girl taking orders was new, which is okay, we all have been there. When I asked her for three PB&J sandwiches she said they didn't make those, only the ones on the board. Someone heard her and told her that it was possible to make what we were asking for. Okay, innocent mistake. I pay around $25 for that, this includes the 20% that we are forced to pay, regardless of service, and also I tipped them. We ALWAYS tip, we tip extra if at the end of our experience the service and food are great. After waiting for freaking ever, we finally get our order but it was only two. I asked if the third one was coming and she said they only had two in the order, which now, $25 is a little extreme. They were nice enough and ended up bringing the third one. This time for whatever reason, on top of all this, the biscuits were horrible, they were super greasy, they tasted like oil, they were not good at all and this time they did not use the amazing peanut butter they used the first time, which was a big reason why we returned. We have not been back and don't think we will ever be. I don't like to leave bad reviews but this was super disappointing and I hope it helps to make things better. read more

Cute little place tucked into the corner of a tiny shopping lot with a few other restaurants. Menu was pretty small so easy to choose. Tried the honey chicken and sausage egg and cheese biscuits, with a cinnamon roll and coffee. The food came out fast and service was great. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and dripping with butter/honey, and was the favorite part of my meal. Sausage was surprisingly spicy. One biscuit was definitely filling enough for one person. A lot of people have commented on the extra 20% added on top for employee welfare. I personally feel like even with the 20%, the price is still reasonable and comparable with other places, it's just the perception of having to pay an extra 20% and then another tip on top of it. Little Ola's must be doing some live improv theatre because it warped me into an episode of Curb your Enthusiasm. I live nearby this place and one morning decided to give it a try. I went on the website with my wife and she wanted a Sausage, Egg and Cheese with a tomato slice. They had a Sausage, Egg and Cheese AND a Tomato, Egg and Cheese biscuit. I could not find a way to add a tomato slice to the Sausage, Egg and Cheese or a sausage patty to the Tomato, Egg and Cheese. So I decided to go in person to order and I left with my matching orders. When I arrived I explained what I was trying to accomplish and that I was willing to pay for the addition of a tomato slice. The young man behind the counter said that he couldn't modify the biscuit. I looked in the back and saw a man making them fresh, so it isn't like they were all pre-made. Since I had my marching orders I noticed a lady that seemed to be more senior a few feet away and I asked if I could speak with her. I explained what I was trying to do, she also repeated that they could not modify the biscuits because it was the "Chefs vision and that the menu had been carefully crafted." I said that I kind of get it, I shudder when I see someone in a nice Steak restaurant ask for Heinz 57, but everyone has different tastes. She was not going to budge. Not wanting to come home empty handed I ordered two sausage, egg and biscuits. As I was waiting I got the brilliant idea to ask for a tomato slice on the side, a tomato slice I was willing to pay for. Something that I could eat alone or with anything else. I approached the counter again and asked. The lady was visibly miffed and said she would check. About 5 minutes later they walked the sack over to me and said nothing. I looked in and there was one slice of tomato in a separate container. I appreciate the intersection of art and food . The live improv of Curbed made me feel like I was Larry David for a few minutes and gave me a great story to tell neighbors and friends. It wouldn't be fair to give them one star because the biscuits were delicious, however it's a shame I had to come up and fight for a solution to a "problem" that shouldn't have existed in the first place. read more

I'll be honest: my biscuit standards have been set by Pine State Biscuits in Portland. Years later my sister and I still reminisce about the food we had there, and we've yet to find a biscuit sandwich that compares. So I was leery of Ola when it opened. But today I was hungry and in the neighborhood so I decided, "what the hell" and placed an order for the chicken sandwich and a side of spicy mayo. First, the good. The chicken was juicy and the crust had good crunch. Now, the bad: It was one of the blandest things I've ever eaten in my life. The chicken had no salt--or if it did, it didn't have nearly enough. The "spicy" Mayo had zero heat, by which I mean even folks who think black pepper is spicy could comfortably enjoy it. That said, I'm glad I ordered it, because while the chicken was juicy the sandwich overall was dry and would have been unpleasant to eat if it weren't doused in *something.* I also ordered a lemonade, which was ridiculously priced for the size. I admit that one's on me-- I wasn't paying close enough attention to the item listing when I ordered it. But $5 for 7oz of lemonade, hand squeezed or not, is absurd. For that much money I'd expect a 14oz drink *minimum,* or for booze to be somewhere in the equation. But, nope--it's just a teeny tiny bottle of regular ol' lemonade. Here is my pro about my experience: I thought the food was pretty good. My husband had it on his list of places to try & I liked it. We both got the fried chicken on a biscuit & their peach hand pie. Now the con: This is why I'm giving them 3 stars. I ordered a 7 oz bottle of lemonade (comes in a bottle that's not filled up all the way to the top) which they charge $5.00 for. They charge 20% for the "health & wellness" for the employees (my husband already pays health insurance for the 2 of us), so I'm confused on why we are paying for the employees health care. They also make you tip upon paying for your meal - for what? We didn't even see our food & someone puts our order in a bag on a table. Due to Covid, I get the contactless option they are doing, but we are supposed to give a tip on top of the 20% & then there was the added tax. So we ended up paying about $80 (for 2 people) for everything ($24 for health insurance, tip & tax). We unfortunately will not be coming back. It was too expensive for all the added charges.
