Biscuits were delightful! They have that homemade with love feel to them. Soft, thick, filling and chewy. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese, it looked promising and did not disappoint. Service is kind yet minimal. They take the order, you sit, they bring it. It's a very relaxed space. Pretty comfortable. The benches move. December 24, 2024 will be their last day open. They've had infrastructural issues and haven't found a new location to serve their delicious biscuits. They've mentioned their instagram as the place to check for updates.

You know what I really enjoyed? Was the fact that once greeted the menu was explained and described with detailed whether you were a hbd or returning customer. The friendly atmosphere made it feel like home. The food omygosh was perfection. I'm coming back for the taste and flavor alone. Great job here

Field trip to Little Ola's to try out something different on the other side of town. Enjoyed tasty biscuits. I suggest asking which ones are favorites of others just to try. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the biscuits tasted. The egg and cheese were secondary, but was also very nice. My wife tried the biscuits and gravy. Whoa...! Next time, I'll order that one as well. The service wasn't fast... yet it was made fresh as we ordered. Perfectly done. Enjoyed the table setting. Cafe style. Cute. Quiet. Perfect for a morning routine at the bakery.

It's a vibe here at little olas, great hearty biscuits and flavorful chicken. I was told the most popular choice is the honey butter chicken biscuit, but I had to go with the spicy chicken biscuit. The heat was there but not overwhelming. I will be coming back for sure Peace and love: Tha Beard

Flavor is fantastic, but only go here if you hate money. $10 for a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit is beyond ridiculous. What a joke.

A nice little eatery in a strip mall in North Austin that specializes in biscuits. Wife and I tried it for breakfast this morning. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with honey butter. The sandwich was impressive large and the scrambled egg was cooked perfectly, The sausage is made in house but was way too spicy for us old folks. The biscuit was amazing and is real star of the show! Wife had a sausage biscuit. Next time I would order a biscuit with egg or just a biscuit. Very friendly staff. Give it a try.

This place isn't far from home and has been on my list to try for a while now. This morning we decided to check it out. I am surprised to see some of the other reviews on here about the pricing and the cleanliness of the location. We felt this place was super cute and clean, no strange smells - except maybe chicken cooking? I ordered the spicy chicken biscuit and my boyfriend got the Honey chicken biscuit. We swapped for half of each and were SHOCKED at the size! Each was $10, there are other options for $4-6 with sausage, egg, etc. These were super filling and the chicken was massive. The biscuits held up well for a sandwich especially of that size. The chicken was really crispy but not burnt. Both of us voted the honey chicken one as our favorite. The spicy chicken was not bad but it was kind of like chili oil on fried chicken not really spicy. Just different than we expected. The chicken was very juicy and tender. Overall we give the food a 7.5 out of 10 but its a great atmosphere with reasonable pricing.

Finally, it's here! Perfect biscuits that don't require me to drive downtown or to the east side. Little Ola has moved into the old Garbo's brick and mortar location in Wells Branch on Bratton and Merrilltown and we'll all be gaining back the 15 lbs we just lost (or maybe that's just me). Get that $1 cup of honey butter to add to whatever else you order. You're gonna want that. Everyone raves about the chicken biscuits, and they're good (if you prefer dark meat), but our favorite is the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. It's big enough for 2, a good thing if you want to try some other menu items. Watch out for the spice level in that sausage, it's not for amateurs. And if you like that sausage, don't miss the sausage roll, which comes with gravy and is IMHO one of the tastiest and most unique breakfast items in Austin. Of course, you will need a couple of plain baby biscuits to go. These are perfectly crispy, flaky, savory, and layer-y, better than Meemaw made (RIP). If you get too full to eat 'em, just store them in the fridge and reheat open-faced in the toaster over or air fryer - still perfect for some Irish butter and jam, Nutella, or whatever else you have in your home pantry. Welcome to the neighborhood, Little Ola! P.S. No adult bevs yet, but once the liquor license is approved, they will serve some beer and craft cocktails like those enjoyed at big sister downtown, Olamae.

This place is terrific. The food was fresh and had that homemade goodness to it. They vibe was cool and it's always good when you have free wifi and pretty decent drip coffee. This place is the real deal, delicious food that makes you want more and more! Service was great, people were fast and friendly.

I got a box of two buttermilk biscuits and a cinnamon roll for $6 using the Too Good To Go app. In terms of amount of food, I've received more from other places using the app. However, everything was delicious. The biscuits are huge! They're crispy on the outside, buttery on the inside. I ate them with cream cheese and blackberry jam and thought it was a fantastic combination. I shared the cinnamon roll with my boyfriend and we both agreed it was great, better than the cinnamon rolls from Cinnaholic. And they're the perfect size to share.

I wish I could give Little Ola's Biscuits 6 stars it is that good!!! I have been on the hunt recently for the best fried chicken sandwich/biscuit sandwich, and Little Ola's is by far the best. Everything I have ordered here has blown me away. The fried chicken sandwich is so crispy, and they put the perfect amount of honey to make it sweet and salty. The biscuits on all of the sandwiches are crispy enough, but also not dry or greasy at all. We also got the egg sandwich with tomato and ham, and although this sounds like a simple sandwich, this was my favorite after the fried chicken ! The tomato is so fresh and the ham is very thinly sliced. We've also tried the spicy chicken which is great as well. Lastly, we ordered the cinnamon roll, and if you are a sweets person this is a must!! A warm and amazing cinnamon roll, leaving you with the perfect end to your breakfast. Lastly I love the staff working here. I've been here a few times and each time the staff is so welcoming and helpful with the menu. They encourage you to stay and refill your coffee, and enjoy your breakfast. I can't say enough good things about this place. Although other reviews say it's pricey, I think it's worth it as you are paying for a quality sandwich and in my opinion the best in Austin .

We finally tried out Little Ola's Biscuits to celebrate my sister in law's birthday and it didn't disappoint. Very efficient and quick to go process and everything was pretty good. Next time I want to try out the sweet pies as the savory ham one was amazing.

Little Ola's Biscuits makes great homemade biscuits I have tried their homemade biscuits and their chicken biscuit sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious and the portions on these biscuits is very generous and a big portion size. They have a decent size menu and they also offer kid seating so this is a very family friendly place. The biscuits and the sandwiches are a little pricey but the service and the quality of the food you get is top notch.

I read the Yelp reviews before coming (more on this later). I only had the traditional bahn mi with three kinds of pork, including sliced and pate. The bahn mi was as it should be, a thinner sandwich bread, similar to a baguette but skinnier, with lightly pickled daikon and carrot, a cucumber, cilantro, and jalapeno. It was delicious. Which brings me to the Yelp reviews. A number of them are complaining that the bread isn't as large as a traditional French baguette. This is because a bahn mi doesn't traditionally have a larger sized baguette. A traditional bahn mi bread is inspired by a French baguette, because the sandwich is a fusion of French and Vietnamese cuisines, since the French colonized Vietnam and influenced some of their food and architecture. But it isn't traditionally as thick as a baguette, and is made of a mix of wheat and rice flour. The owner happened to be typing on his laptop and I talked to him about the bread. It is made in house, by him. It is made thin, but doesn't have rice flour. I was frankly grateful that it wasn't a normal sized baguette, because that would have scraped up my mouth and required having a lot more toppings to balance the ingredients with the bread, making a much larger sandwich than I would want to eat. In the US, a restaurant owner making a bahn mi often faces a choice between making their own bread in house, having a local bakery make it for them, or buying from a bakery that already makes French baguettes. So what people are used to eating isn't authentic, but is a cost-saving tradeoff made by using a regular French baguette, usually the cheapest of the options. So before you complain about the shape and size of the bread, please understand that this is closer to the real deal than you are used to and not a defect of the bahn mi bread served in this restaurant, despite being named "Baguette House". The rest of the sandwich is open to criticism and I agree with some that the pickled veg could have used more vinegar, but the bread was well-made, crunchy crispy outside, with a soft interior. Delish.

I usually go for the chicken or ribeye beef bánh mì, and the portions are just right--not too much, not too little. The bread is made fresh daily, which really makes a difference. I also appreciate that there's some flexibility with customization if you're not a fan of certain traditional garnishes or want to add extras. Their Vietnamese and Thai dishes are consistently good as well--I tend to stick with their curry, which never disappoints. On this visit, I stopped by for Vietnamese iced coffee and some baked goods. I tried the shortbread cookies; they weren't soft like I had hoped (their lemon cookies are soft and delicious- my husband had it from here before), but that's pretty typical for shortbread. The iced Vietnamese coffee is one of my favorites here--perfectly balanced, not overly sweet and not too bitter. The café has a nice setup with a decent amount of seating--great if you want to stop in for coffee or sit down and enjoy a meal with family. The staff are always friendly!

On the positive side, the Pork Bahn Mi was pretty good. The bread was fresh and chewy, the veggies were tasty, and the pork had good flavor. That said, the meat portion was noticeably light. It wasn't terrible, but a few more pieces of pork would have gone a long way. The real letdown was the Chicken Pad Thai my friend ordered. Pad Thai typically runs anywhere from $13-$19 or more around town, and this place caught my attention by pricing it at the low end ($13). Unfortunately, once you opened the to-go container, it was clear why. The portion was shockingly small--maybe 25% of the container filled--and there was barely any chicken. It honestly looked like a kid-sized portion. I have actually seen this trend with other places where you get less when you order to go. At the store I inspected the order and noticed this, so I mentioned it to the staff and was met with a shrug and silence. When I brought it to my friend (who's petite and loves pad thai), even she immediately asked, "Where's the meat?" She finished it and was still hungry--and that's never happened as she eats Chicken Pad Thai weekly. She confirmed with me that she was not pregnant (lol) so I ended up sharing my sandwich with her. She said it tasted fine, but nothing special, and definitely not worth $13. While the Bahn Mi was solid, the overall experience screamed shrinkflation. The lower price point felt like a bait-and-switch once you see the portion size. We've had Chicken Pad Thai at places like Sip Saam, 888, 1618, and others for slightly more money, but with far more food and chicken. We enjoy trying new spots, but this was a one-and-done for both of us. Saving a few ounces of noodles and a couple pieces of chicken might minimally help costs in the short term, but it hurts customer trust and satisfaction long term. Fair portions matter just as much as flavor--and unfortunately, this place missed that balance. The lack of response when I mentioned the small portion size made me feel dismissed as a customer which made the experience worse. Priorities, I guess.

The pork chop I got at Chicho's was cut thin. How thin was your pork chop, Samuel C? Funny you should ask, Yelp Reader. It was maybe a thickness of three on a delicatessen slicer. Probably closer to two. It was like eating a slice of ham out of an Oscar Mayer ham for little kids's lunch pack. It was nicely sauteed and had a sweet sauce. (Shades of the Oscar Mayer ham again).
