I liked how the spicy topping was a blend of crunchy pepper bits and sesame seeds. The chicken was very crispy and flavorful. They are quick to make your order and bring it out to your table. This place is a hidden gem! The staff were amazing and gave great suggestions on what to order. They knew the menu well and even checked if their chocolate milk was made from pasteurized milk for me. I sat outside in their outside sitting area, which was very clean and nice to enjoy the amazing biscuits. The biscuits here are buttery and flaky . If you go here you must get the honey butter chicken biscuit sandwich and the sausage egg and cheese ( the mayo they use in this makes it worth trying). The chicken alone in the butter chicken sandwich is worth it, crispy/ tender/ and flavorful . For the sausage sandwich, this place makes its own sausage topped with a mayo that has tomato in it. Biscuits were delightful! They have that homemade with love feel to them. Soft, thick, filling and chewy. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese, it looked promising and did not disappoint. Service is kind yet minimal. They take the order, you sit, they bring it. It's a very relaxed space. Pretty comfortable. The benches move. December 24, 2024 will be their last day open. Field trip to Little Ola's to try out something different on the other side of town. Enjoyed tasty biscuits. I suggest asking which ones are favorites of others just to try. Little olas never disappoints! Delicious flaky biscuits with tons of different topping/sandwich options, you really cannot go wrong here. The food is so fantastic. My personal favorite is the tomato and egg biscuit sandwich. I also always get a jam and butter biscuit to go and then have that as lunch a few hours later. The honey butter chicken biscuit is also fantastic. We haven't been disappointed with anything we have gotten here. They also have pretty good coffee and their Arnold Palmer is unique and delicious. The ambiance is so freaking cute!! The art on the walls is adorable and charming. The different seating options are nice as well. Service has always been great. I've also noticed the same people working there for long periods of time which makes me think the management must be nice to their employees which makes me feel good. A nice little eatery in a strip mall in North Austin that specializes in biscuits. Wife and I tried it for breakfast this morning. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with honey butter. The sandwich was impressive large and the scrambled egg was cooked perfectly, The sausage is made in house but was way too spicy for us old folks. This place isn't far from home and has been on my list to try for a while now. This morning we decided to check it out. I am surprised to see some of the other reviews on here about the pricing and the cleanliness of the location. We felt this place was super cute and clean, no strange smells - except maybe chicken cooking? I ordered the spicy chicken biscuit and my boyfriend got the Honey chicken biscuit. We swapped for half of each and were SHOCKED at the size! Each was $10, there are other options for $4-6 with sausage, egg, etc. These were super filling and the chicken was massive. The biscuits held up well for a sandwich especially of that size. The chicken was really crispy but not burnt. Both of us voted the honey chicken one as our favorite. The spicy chicken was not bad but it was kind of like chili oil on fried chicken not really spicy. Just different than we expected. The chicken was very juicy and tender. Overall we give the food a 7.5 out of 10 but its a great atmosphere with reasonable pricing. read more

Finally, it's here! Perfect biscuits that don't require me to drive downtown or to the east side. Little Ola has moved into the old Garbo's brick and mortar location in Wells Branch on Bratton and Merrilltown and we'll all be gaining back the 15 lbs we just lost (or maybe that's just me). Get that $1 cup of honey butter to add to whatever else you order. You're gonna want that. Everyone raves about the chicken biscuits, and they're good (if you prefer dark meat), but our favorite is the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. It's big enough for 2, a good thing if you want to try some other menu items. Watch out for the spice level in that sausage, it's not for amateurs. And if you like that sausage, don't miss the sausage roll, which comes with gravy and is IMHO one of the tastiest and most unique breakfast items in Austin. Of course, you will need a couple of plain baby biscuits to go. These are perfectly crispy, flaky, savory, and layer-y, better than Meemaw made (RIP). If you get too full to eat 'em, just store them in the fridge and reheat open-faced in the toaster over or air fryer - still perfect for some Irish butter and jam, Nutella, or whatever else you have in your home pantry. I got a box of two buttermilk biscuits and a cinnamon roll for $6 using the Too Good To Go app. In terms of amount of food, I've received more from other places using the app. However, everything was delicious. The biscuits are huge! They're crispy on the outside, buttery on the inside. I ate them with cream cheese and blackberry jam and thought it was a fantastic combination. I wish I could give Little Ola's Biscuits 6 stars it is that good!!! I have been on the hunt recently for the best fried chicken sandwich/biscuit sandwich, and Little Ola's is by far the best. Everything I have ordered here has blown me away. The fried chicken sandwich is so crispy, and they put the perfect amount of honey to make it sweet and salty. The biscuits on all of the sandwiches are crispy enough, but also not dry or greasy at all. We also got the egg sandwich with tomato and ham, and although this sounds like a simple sandwich, this was my favorite after the fried chicken ! The tomato is so fresh and the ham is very thinly sliced. We've also tried the spicy chicken which is great as well. Lastly, we ordered the cinnamon roll, and if you are a sweets person this is a must!! A warm and amazing cinnamon roll, leaving you with the perfect end to your breakfast. Lastly I love the staff working here. I've been here a few times and each time the staff is so welcoming and helpful with the menu. Not sure why Little Ola's Biscuits is rated 3.5 stars, other than you just can't please some no matter what you do. The biscuit is not your typical doughy biscuit so if that's what you're looking for, buy a tube of Pillsbury biscuits. The exterior of the LOB biscuit is golden brown and crunchy while the interior is semi-fluffy. It is really good on its own, as well as made as a "sandwich". I tried the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit today. The sausage is made in-house and is mild in flavor. If you are looking for the highly seasoned fatty stuff, take a trip to HEB and buy yourself a tube of Owen's to put on your Pillsbury biscuit. Sausage roll and Ham and Cheese Pie I paid $15 for these two pastries. The restaurant is very nice, but the food is way overpriced. I didn't get a biscuit because of the cost of each biscuit ($10 for a chicken biscuit?). The Sausage Roll seemed frozen; the outside of the roll was hard, the inside mushy and doughy. The gravy on top of the roll looked like it had been sitting on top as well. My ham and cheese pie was cold when I got it. I asked if it's supposed to be warm and they said they serve their pies room temperature. On top of that, 20% wellness, and then the cashier stared at me when I put no tip (despite their 20% wellness?). My friend's got the spicy chicken sandwich and they said it wasn't spicy at all and the chicken was chewy/rubbery. I don't think this place is worth the money and should be better spent some place else. read more

I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit ($9) and three smaller plain biscuits (3 for $9). The biscuits were excellent. I guess you have to be willing to pay the outrageous price. In addition to the cost of the biscuits they charge a 20% "wellness charge" for the employees. I get that and I understand it. However when I paid, the tablet menu comes up with the request for tip and I added the 15% and thought I must be insane. The total fore to $25.06!!! Great biscuits, but I won't be back! It took everything those plastic utensils could muster to cut one piece. I don't know if mine was old or if that's normal, but that was a huge disappointment. No amount of cream cheese frosting could save it. In general, don't try to eat these sandwiches with chapped lips. However wide your mouth can naturally open, it's not enough. The biscuits are hard on the outside so you have to tear it apart in pieces to consume it. The biscuits are a lot harder than Bird Bird Biscuit, but it is fluffy inside. The honey butter on the chicken is a fantastic complement. The chicken has a lot of crunchy and flavorful breading. It is unique that it is dark meat as most chicken sandwiches are breast meat.
