Luckily he was ok, but if I would have relied on the neighbor or a family member to work into their scheduled the time to drop by to care for him, his condition would have deteriorated. I'm sure when the owner is home, their dogs go out during the day. Leaving dogs alone all day outside, any professional that cares will not agree with that. Drowning in the pool, owls, hawks, coyotes, theft, heatstroke, digging out, snakes, alligators.
