My twin sister and mom both were invited to this event as well. This shelter is soo beautiful and I can tell that they really love their animals. Nikki gave us a tour of the facility and I really loved her energy and she explained everything so well. I love their dog walking schedule and they have the board color coded to make sure the different level of difficulty of walking the dog is connected with the level of experience that a volunteer has. I love that Yelp invited me to this event because I was able to cuddle with kitty's and touch beautiful dogs. They had delicious macaroons, bagel and yummy donuts. I got to meet Kelly the photographer and she was super sweet as well. Although I don't live near this shelter, I would like to try to volunteer as often as possible. Told me that I needed to have an appointment to see the cats didn't understand why I was there without an appointment. She told me I had to wait to speak to the person in charge of the cats for the day..... then two minutes later told me to go ahead and sign in and go into the room with all the cats.... As I made my way through the crowded messy hallway, a random girl stops me to tell me to make sure my kids don't pull ears or tails (OBVIOUSLY)- no hey I'm so and so blah blah..., then I put my hands on the door to walk in with both of my kids who are very excited and I'm told that I can't have my bag..... it's a DIAPER bag people for the toddlers that are in Tow with me..... I asked if she could hold it for the 10 minutes while we would be in the room and she looked at me like I had asked her in Chinese....at which point I said forget it, this is becoming a mission just to see a couple cats when I could just adopt one off the side of the road. Some of these rescues really have a stick up their ass and do not make the adoption process very excited for families. We won't be back and we'll spread the word.

One of the owners asked us what exactly we wanted in a dog. After explaining, she suggested a Cavachon. She could not have been more right. Jules has been the biggest joy in our family. She is a kiss and tail wag in the morning, play mate in the afternoon and cuddle bug in the evening. She has been the biggest help in my husband's loss of his brother. We couldn't and wouldn't want to imagine our lives without her. We are very thankful to the Noble Paw.

Said they are a walk and turned her head . I said come on boys let's go outside and see the dogs and we did. We found one we wanted to adopt . I went back and eyes rolled . I asked for an application to fill out to adopt the dog . They said there are applications ahead of me and they were holding back the application. I was confused and asked what was wrong and then blond haired woman said it's $300.00 , can you even afford that . Like what ??? The brown haired woman who's name is Pam said they aren't letting me or my family adopt anything because we have a dog already. I said what I am confused and dont understand Pam said we are not adopting any animal to us and we should leave . Looking us up and down I had my 3 boys 9,7,4 . Who are all different races and I felt that it was a race issue . I spoke to an employee at the facility who heard abt it and confirmed they are racist and that was the reason . It is just disgusting and horrible to treat children and animals like that . They should be let go and not be around people at all !
