Only takes care of the locals. They should not be on Door Dash. The Door Dash Delivery Driver is as good as the customer. When The delivery driver is waiting for more than 10 minutes and the driver asks when the order will be ready and the worker says it will be ready when it's ready and says you can wait outside. I found this place last year and meet friends for breakfast every few weeks. They have an outdoor seating area under a canopy and several tables inside. It's a small place that can get loud and they only take cash. Our food is always served hot and fast and the waitress is always very attentive. The last 2 times I've stopped in, we sat at a table close to the counter. The young lady who was cooking had on extremely short shorts or a short skirt. Anyone sitting at the counter is literally sitting 4 feet away from the cook so there were some young men sitting at the counter that unfortunately were talking about her the entire time we were there. read more

Small enough to have a great following and serving fresh, home made entrees. Due to the Corona Virus they have now erected a very large heated tent aside the restaurant which is very welcomed. Portions are good. Price is good. Don't take credit cards - actually that is good because it keeps prices down. Some items are seasonal - the way it SHOULD be. We went to this restaurant last Saturday. We were looking for a brunch place in New Bedford and found this place online. We decided to give it a shot and so glad we did! It is a cute and cozy little restaurant with open kitchen. The food is absolutely delicious and healthy. We sat at the bar and the owner lady who is also the master chef was making our breakfast in front of us. We felt like we were at home having a family breakfast. Very nice people. Walked in to find ourselves immediately stared at by the locals, to the sound of country music and a conversation shouted between tables. The server looked at us like we'd stumbled into the wrong place, and it didn't take me long to agree with her. We chose Little Phoenix because its few reviews were good; I was hoping for the kind of hole-in-the-wall local gem that I have a knack for stumbling on. No such luck this time. To be fair, I'll give the up-notes first: They seemed prepared for kids, with picture books and toys sitting available and baby wipes provided in the bathroom. Prices were in the cheaper range ($7 for my omelet with toast and homefries). The issues with this place, however, far outweighed the benefit of a cheap meal. Out-of-the-way, small, with generically folksy decor straight off a Wal-Mart shelf. While they were at their local Wal-Mart they seemed to have stocked their unkempt kitchen with the cheapest, thinnest sliced bread and weakest coffee available. My husband's "hash" as well as the strawberries on his limp French toast seemed to have been dumped from a can-possibly the same can. The hash looked like salty dog vomit, and according to him it tasted worse than it looked. He's not a picky man, the type that happily eats Hot Pockets and pizza rolls, mind you. I'm admittedly picky, but I love breakfast and I'm not expecting much from a cheap local joint. As we reasoned to ourselves upon seeing this restaurant's sketchy facade, breakfast is hard to mess up, right? Oh, how wrong we were. I ordered the meatloaf omelet, the most (or rather only) creative thing on the menu. The cheese options consisted of Cheese or No Cheese. I foolishly chose the mystery cheese and wound up with an excessive ooze of that super-salty, plasticky white American cheese-product. The flavor effect of last night's leftover meatloaf and this saline sludge was unfortunate. At least the homefries seemed fine, or so I thought until I tasted something rancid. I was done. I left most of my food uneaten, a fact which didn't even prompt the waitress to ask if there had been a problem. Now I accept that every place has off-days, but that's no excuse for a greasy kitchen, unfriendly attitude, and bottom-of-the-barrel ingredients that all either come from a can or have clearly passed their freshness date. This is not a fancy eggs benedict & mimosa place. Just a basic diner. However it is warm and friendly and their food is good. I was greeted with a mug of coffee by very welcoming staff. I had delicious cheese and homemade hash omelette with homefries which I watched being cooked from my counter seat. Best of all is their grilled cheese roll.
