Ms. Elin was my son's Pre-K teacher, and he absolutely adores her. Under her guidance, he learned all the alphabets, shapes, and colors, and can now count to 20 -- skills I know are often taught in TK. Beyond academics, Ms. Elin always incorporated fun, engaging activities that the kids loved. She also helped my son become more independent with eating, which was something he really needed encouragement in. In the afternoons, when Ms. Elin left, other wonderful teachers stepped in to provide care -- Ms. Silvia, Ms. Christine, Ms. Mary, Ms. Marie and Ms. Nour. My son knows and loves them all. When I once asked my son if there was any teacher he liked the least, his answer was, "no," which says it all!) Last but certainly not least, Ms. Virgine is an incredible director. My son was both a Covid baby (super shy) and a preemie, so I had extra concerns as a first-time mom. One of the main reasons I chose LPG was the smaller class sizes, so he wouldn't be overwhelmed. I was nervous at first, but my worries quickly faded as I watched him grow and thrive. By the time he graduated, he not only had friends in his own class but also knew the names of kids from other classes. I am genuinely grateful to everyone at LPG for giving my son such a memorable preschool experience. You truly can't put a price on that!

It is magical, beautiful and a super special…read moreplace for littles (and their families, too). ***Please don't be alarmed by all the old reviews from 5 plus years ago. I've heard that LVPPP was indeed a very different school back then! Totally different leadership and teachers.*** First off, a little background on me- I have a degree in childhood development and early education, but first and foremost, I am a parent. And I want to be as involved and connected with my child's life as much as possible. I also fully understand that every child and every family's needs are different. So for us, LVPPP was an ideal fit and we are so happy with our decision to send our daughter there. This preschool fulfills all my wants and prayers for my child's first school experiences outside of our home. Some main highlights: 1. Teachers who are loving, nurturing and care about every single child's life and sees them as whole individuals and unique. My daughter absolutely LOVES her teacher and that's saying a lot for a child who is extremely attached to her mother and has separation anxiety. LVPPP teachers help prepare children and their parents for the transition being "away" from their families for a few hours at a time. They are so patient, so empathetic and really take the time to honor each child's feelings and individuality while modeling cooperation, co-regulation and communication. It is a very warm and home-like environment. 2. Community of caregivers, parents, families who all are working together for the school and the children. LVPPP is a co-op school and is part of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools, which is a network of organized co-ops focused on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers, and children. Being a volunteer in my child's classroom 2-3 times a month really has allowed me to get to know the people who actually see my child- I know the teachers very well and also know every single parent and child closely, much like extended family. We have playdates and help watch each others children outside of school as a result, and this has been invaluable benefit being part of this school- where lifelong relationships are fostered. 3. Child-directed, PLAY and inquiry based learning philosophy. PLAY is the work of the child. LVPPP is Reggio Emilia inspired and we love that. It follows my child's natural curiosity and focused on the process versus end product in learning and development. LVPPP's director is extremely knowledgeable and passionate in this area and empowers both students and families to be active agents in their environment. The environment is set up to invite play and exploration. Children engage in messy play, engage all their senses, challenge their fine and gross motor skills, and really tinker and experiment in open-ended play. There's also a big emphasis on social emotional development and regulation. The campus itself is beautiful and every detail has been well thought out to provoke exploration, discussion and creativity. 4. It's a non-profit that's trying to serve the community, providing high quality early childhood education to families in the area. It strives to be very accessible, diverse, inclusive and welcoming to all. All backgrounds are celebrated and family structures. I appreciate the fact that the tuition is quite reasonable and allows families from various levels of means still be able to access a preschool with the bells and whistles you may find at higher end preschools, but it's due to the joint effort of hard work that the families and teachers have contributed from their own time, effort and dedication to make the school what it is. 5. Health and safety is taken seriously especially during this COVID era. The director and leadership stay atop local health authority recommendations and goes above based on the input of the families and what they're comfortable with. We have been very happy with the pragmatic approach that LVPPP takes in trying to ensure the students stay healthy but also understanding that nothing is perfectly avoidable.

Ms. Ana is very responsive through WeChat; she provides us peace of mind when we have any questions regarding our kids. Ms Shiela was excellent in introducing both my daughters to writing/math/reading at the beginning of the year. She was able to identify different needs for each of my daughters and created a plan for us to follow at home to reinforce what was being taught at school. The time I had with Ms Shiela in the teacher parent meetings showed me that she really cared about her students and treated them as if they were her own. I am so impressed with my daughters' growth throughout the year; seeing the work they did in class and also the activities they have and are doing now at home is just amazing. Ms. Haley is the teacher who helped my daughter achieve a breakthrough in learning her letter sounds and number fundamentals. Homework became a positive part of our routine because she always made sure my daughter was learning, growing, and being appropriately challenged. Her curriculum and classroom activities are engaging, thoughtful, and fun. Simply put, she is truly one of the best teachers we have ever met. Ms. Emily is the most patient and loving teacher. She has such a gentle and effective way of teaching discipline, manners, and positive behavior. Rather than simply telling children what not to do, she helps them understand right from wrong in a caring and respectful way. Her kindness and creativity shine through in everything she does. Ms. Andrea has left a lasting impression on our family. Thanks to her, our household will forever know how to sing the table manners song! She has a wonderful ability to turn lessons and nursery rhymes into daily habits that children can carry with them beyond the classroom. Together, these teachers create the perfect balance of nurturing, encouragement, structure, and learning. They have built an environment where children can thrive and grow at their own pace while feeling loved and supported every step of the way. We will miss them so much and already look forward to our second child having the opportunity to learn from them one day. We also cannot forget Room 2 and the amazing Ms. Cecilia, Ms. Ellie, and Ms. Griselda. They were my daughter's very first teachers and helped her learn boundaries, social skills, and independence while showering her with love and care. Anyone who works with two-year-olds deserves special recognition, and these teachers have endless patience and dedication. They are simply the best. We also cannot forget about Ms Reyna! She was the one providing comfort to during her first few weeks of transitioning. Our daughter has truly thrived here and has learned so much. We are incredibly grateful for all of these wonderful teachers and the impact they have had on our family. You simply can't go wrong with any of them!

He adores his teachers and looks forward to coming every day. He has a big personality that can sometimes be a lot for adults, but the teachers here are incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. They've helped him learn independence while also showing compassion and guiding him to slow down when needed. Ms. Fameeda, the director, is outstanding. She not only checks in with us regularly but also makes my son feel special by letting him be her little helper. When we were expecting our second child, she went above and beyond to support him in adjusting to the idea of becoming a big brother--working at his pace so he never felt overwhelmed. The teachers are wonderful--caring, funny, and always communicative. He especially loves Ms. Tami and thinks it would be the coolest thing to hang out with her outside of school (he doesn't, but the thought makes him so happy!). The school also does a fantastic job of creating community. They host the sweetest holiday events, where the kids get to perform and celebrate--it's always adorable to watch. They also hold parent-teacher conferences to keep us updated on progress, and they were a huge help with potty training too. Overall, I couldn't recommend this school more. The environment, the staff, and the care they provide are unmatched. We're excited for our 6-month-old to join once he's old enough, because we know he'll be just as loved and supported as his big brother.

Our oldest daughter started here when she was just two and a half, and now our second daughter has gone through the same journey -- and we're already excited to send our youngest soon! What makes Kid Junction so special is the people. Every teacher pours so much love, time, and intention into the kids. They create fun, hands-on activities, celebrate holidays with so much joy, and keep parents updated every step of the way. You can tell this is a place where faith and care guide everything they do. Both of our girls had Miss Sandy, who is truly the best person to care for 2-year-olds -- patient, nurturing, and full of joy. Then they had Miss Susan, who is the sweetest! She helps build confidence in each child and makes every day special (my daughter loves when she pulls out her spray bottle and hair ties to give her a cute little hairstyle!). We also adore Miss Eileen, who does a wonderful job preparing the kids for Kinder she's a TK teacher -- she's caring, creative, and the children can't wait to be in her class. And Miss Belinda made those early toddler days so special with fun morning activities that set the tone for a happy day. We loved it so much that we decided to keep our daughters here for TK instead of going to elementary because we knew they would get the care and elevated education prior to going to Kinder. My daughters assessment going into kindergarten, she scored very high on the skills for this grade. It was an easy transition and she thought kinder was too easy she kept asking for more hw!! And holding it all together is Miss Clara, director -- she has the most tender heart and genuine love for children. We've known her for five years now, and her care shines through in everything she does -- her communication, the way she supports the teachers, and the way she continues to check in and send us updates. Overall I'm always blown away how clean everything is! So organized and clean which demonstrates the teachers diligence in providing a safe and modeled classroom. We are so thankful for Kid Junction. At drop-off one morning, I informed the teacher that my baby had a dirty diaper. The teacher responded in an irritated tone and insisted it was diarrhea before properly checking. While changing her, the teacher removed all of my daughter's clothing--including her clean shirt and jacket--and refused to give them back when I asked. During the diaper change, the teacher handled my daughter in a manner that made her visibly uncomfortable and distressed. My baby was crying and clearly upset. When I calmly asked the teacher to please be more gentle, my concerns were dismissed and both teachers in the room became defensive. When the director, Ms. Haydee Galvez-Diaz, was called in, she immediately sided with the staff without listening to me. Instead of addressing my concerns about how my child was being handled, she asked the teacher if she felt attacked. I then asked Ms. Haydee if we can speak in private. As I'm trying to explain the situation that just occurred, She raised her voice, told me I was "not happy here," said she thinks I needed to find another place for my children, and walked away, slamming the door in my face. As a working mother, I left in tears and felt helpless because I had no immediate childcare alternative. My baby was picked up within a few hours and never returned. I have since removed all three of my children from this center. No parent should be treated this way for simply advocating for their child. Instead of professionalism and understanding, I was met with hostility and disrespect. I would not recommend Montessori of Via Verde to any family who wants to feel safe, heard, and supported.
