I was told by a good friend of mine how exceptional this Chinese restaurant is, and today we decided to check it out. The culinary experience was so over the top, I don't even know where to begin. IT.WAS.THAT.GREAT. It all started upon entering this smaller restaurant that has a peaceful ambiance, as we were cheerfully greeted by Jeanne, who knew we were arriving as our friend had called ahead. Snce we arrived a little early, and our friend was en route, we decided to try the scallion pancakes, with the Chengdu spicy dumplings and sesame bread which was enthusiastically recommended by Jeanne. The appetizers arrived and we all enjoyed them. The dumplings arrived in a spicy broth-like elixir that complemented the soft pillowy pockets of seasoned pork.The scallion pancakes were mediocre at best, but the sesame bread was amazing!! It had the perfect texture and savory flavor that was enjoyed by all. For our entrees, we ordered two dishes of the Stir Fried Shrimp with Yibin Chili and asparagus (extremely delicious), a spicy Clay Pot Fish, Beef and Napa Cabbage with spicy chili sauce (incredible spicy flavor!), Hot and Spicy Chicken (chunks of deep fried chicken, yum!!), Combination Fried Rice, and an order of the sauteed snow pea leaves. Everything arrived fresh and freshly prepared. Every entree we chose was exceptional! Our iced teas and ice waters were always refilled, and boy were we stuffed! Love this place! I come all the way from Denton for this spot! The food is always delicious and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is amazing and I always try something new each time. Definitely get the string beans with pork, the Dan Dan noodles and the spicy chicken. The price is also fair and service is fast. This is my new (it seems like it's been around for a while) go-to spot for sichuan in the DFW area. It's located to the right of Jusgo supermarket and I don't how I just found out about this place. It's got a fairly large seating space and appears to be BYOB. They've got a HUGE menu with tons of items on there. And then they have a separate menu with all the good good with photos. What we've gotten: - A few of the fish dishes are quite tasty. Fish + tofu or water-boiled fish are winners - The beef/pork dishes with peppers are pretty different as well. The peppers appear to be chopped up shishito peppers, which is something I haven't experienced before but complements the dishes well. The beef chunks are also super tender. - If you're feeling adventurous, the fried intestine dishes are also pretty delicious Waitstaff is nice and there are definitely a few regulars that come by. This is the second time I was able to order on Uber Eats. The food was absolutely amazing! I got the Beef and asparagus for the 2nd time, the Dry Pot Vegetable Deluxe, and Egg Drop Soup. I went here because I heard their Dan Dan noodles were really good. They were yummy but not my favorite. The water tasted a little odd to me. I haven't found my favorite Dan Dan noodles in the U. S. Vancouver still has my favorite place for them. We ordered the spicy wontons and eggplants. The spicy wontons were okay, the filling wasn't my favorite. The eggplant was also not my favorite but it was flavorful. I always love the rice at Chinese restaurants but kinda bummed if that was my favorite dish. I have found the flavor profile suited for my palate. Sichuan cuisine brings the flavorful, saucy heat vs. a dry, numbing heat when something is too spicy. These are the items we ordered and my review for each: Boiled Fish with Napa Cabbage and Sautéed Spinach - the best chili oil fish I have had at any Chinese restaurant. This is a large portion so well worth the money. Pork Intestines and Blood Cake - the pork seemed to have been braised for hours so it is tender, succulent, and juicy. Orange Chicken - not a fan of this dish since it was really sweet (I did not order it). Do not eat the orange rinds!! Sautéed String Beans - decent but not the best in town. Bamboo Shoots - one of the best spicy bamboo shoots as it is delicate and delightful. Spare Ribs and Taro - we had to take this dish to-go because it still hadn't arrived by the time we were done with dinner. However, it was delicious and hearty. The taro gave me a sense of American meat and potatoes. I already plan to go back soon to try some other dishes that caught my eyes. place is a solid 4 stars if you like Sichuan spicy food. There are many different type of spicy (hello wasabi! hello normal spicy!) then there's Sichuan spicy. Sichuan spicy is different because it's peppercorn spicy. Could numb your mouth a bit. This place is authentic to the core, so don't order any Chinese American food here. If you want sweet sour pork/ chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan, sesame chicken, run away! this place isn't for you, I don't think. Price is reasonable and portion sizes are big, they fill you up. When they told me they didn't have my order I checked and sure enough it was called into Little Sichuan!!! Happy mistake! Big fan of Sichuan cuisine, and try it in almost every city I visit. Been here several times, and it doesn't disappoint. The Chengdu Dumplings are delicious. So flavorful, so good. This is one of the best Sichuan places in Plano imo - tasty food, good portions, and reasonable prices. The food has good enough spice and flavor which is important to us because some places have JUST the spice part and no flavor. We always get the eggplant dish, spicy chilled noodles, and the chengdu wontons for appetizers and then either a noodle soup or the spicy chicken dish. Their to-go service is also good - they pack it pretty well and it's not the cheap styrofoam ones that break and spill. We've only eaten in-store twice but the place is clean and tidy. It's been awhile since I've been back, so glad I did. As usual, friendly and welcoming was their service. Freshly made, piping hot, spicy and tasty dinner. Their "Dan Dan Noodle" is still my favorite in DFW: their sauce, minced pork, bit of chili oil served over a bowl of al dente noodles. Delicious with only a touch of spiciness were their "Eggplant with Garlic Sauce" and "Sichuan Twice-Cooked Pork Belly". Empty it was in their dining room at this point in time. We frequently come here. It is my favorite restaurant in DFW for Sichuan food. We love the crispy chicken and the sweet eggplant. They have lots of seatings; we never have to worry about waiting. One of the spiciest Sichuan places that I've been to! Typical Chinese restaurant, with you needing to get the servers attention a bit more enthusiastically than usual. The food was SO SPICY, but the Sichuan flavor was so delicious! We split a bunch of dishes, which had varying levels of numbing spice, but also ordered two non-spicy dishes, the potatoes and green beans. The kung pao chicken was the spiciest dish we had, surprising since it was dry. The pork blood & intestines and the beef tendon were so delicious and well cooked. The Sichuan spice was kind of the same throughout all the meat dishes, so it was good to choose a variety of tendons, intestines, alongside with a lamb, chicken, and fish dish. The restaurant was decently loud as there were a bunch of other Chinese people eating, so nothing too atypical. Very spicy, make sure you prepare if you're going to come here. This is one of my favorite places for comfort food. MaPo tofu is one of my favorite foods so I always get it! My dad has been getting the spicy fried chicken with Serrano pepper for ages but he doesn't like Serrano pepper so I made him get the other one this time and he loves it! I eat a lot of Asian food and this place is authentic! There is nothing fancy about this place. It's extremely simple. The set-up is table and chairs. Majority of the time I'm grateful for the picture menu. Otherwise, I'd really not know what to order. One of the waitresses that works here has great suggestions. Since I don't often have a friend with me that speaks the lingo. Her picks thus far have been great and spot on to my liking! I've yet to have a bad meal, nor do I expect too!
