    R6. Combination Fried Rice(R6)

Came here for lunch and we were seated very quickly! We loved everything we got! My favorite dish was the eggplant, it was sweet and spicy and perfectly cooked. I also loved the lo mein, the noodles were perfectly cooked and I loved the savory flavor. The food came out very quickly and the waiters were so kind and helpful.

I'd rate this pretty high for Sichuanese food in DFW. It's such a rare thing to find and if you do, it's usually disappointing. However, Sichuanese Cuisine is a restaurant you can count on! The service is quick and the portions are pretty substantial. Great spot to go with friends or family to order a bunch of food and eat "family style." My friend and I had the spicy dumpling soup (which they call ravioli lol), Sichuan chicken (P2), Crispy chicken (P8), and the eggplant in garlic sauce. All executed well and hot. I did wish the eggplant was better seasoned, but I added some of their chili oil and it did the trick. Can't way to go back!

    Fish Filets with Pickled Peppers
    Lam B.

The restaurant was out of whole fish so the server recommended the Fish Filets with Pickled Peppers as it was an authentic Sichuan dish. As she was taking our order, the chef was yelling at her and she was screaming back. I felt right at home. Fish Filets with Pickled Peppers - it was pretty good and still good the next day Tea Duck - portion was good and the duck was succulent Spicy Shrimp - favorite dish of the night as it had flavor, spicy, substance, and crunch Fried Fish - worst dish of the night as we all bit into the fried batter and barely had any fish Bamboo Shoots with Pork - great dish loaded with flavors and yumminess Water Spinach - could use a lot more garlic Pig's Ears - tasted good but needed to be cut up into smaller pieces Overall, Sichuanese Cuisine had what I was looking for and I will be back if I am in the area. Pretty convenient as it's near Sweet Hut so you can grab dinner here and then walk down the plaza for some dessert.

Garlic chicken and combo fried rice

FANTASTIC AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD! We are hard to plz apparently but this place knocked it out of the park. We had the garlic chicken and combo fried rice. $27 for two people and tons leftover.

    05. Pork Bung and Pork Blood Cake

We ate here on New Year's Eve and the place was about half-full. There were quite a few large parties of about 7 people. The servers were really fast to get us seated and take our order. Pretty good Szechuan styled dishes with differing levels and tastes of spiciness. Would recommend: Lamb with Cumin: Good cumin flavor, not too intense. It was one of the less spicier dishes that we ordered. Dried-cooked string bean: A typical dried-cooked string bean, nothing too special but pairs well with the rest of the spiciness dishes. Pork Bung & Pork blood cake: One of the better dishes in my opinion, the intestine had just the right amount of intestine-ness and was nice and chewy. The pork blood was cooked well and paired nicely together. Fu Qi Fei Pian (Beef tendon/Hot spicy beef couple): Nothing special again, but a good tasting beef tendon. Sichuanese Boiled Beef: Good tender beef and the spiciness isn't over-whelming Special boiling fish: The fish was nice and soft and delicate, very good flavor, tasted different (and better) than the boiled beef. Would lesser so recommend: Sautéd Sour Potato: Didn't really taste sour, but were a good neutralizer for all the spicy chili oil. Deep-cooked Pork Bung: Some pieces of intestines were as crispy as I would have liked, but would have liked no vegetables inside the dish. Chong-qin crispy spicy chicken: The spiciest we've ever had, and it was so overwhelming the chicken couldn't be tasted well. Should be fine to order if you have good. spice tolerance Dan Dan: Nothing special, just normal noodles.

Family has been going here since I was a child. It's not my favorite Chinese restaurant but even though the flavors have changed with the chefs it's definitely nostalgic and still familiar. We ordered quite a bit. Green onion pancake - Delicious as always!! Always get this :) Dumplings - These are tasty, I didn't taste but my sister likes them enough that she always gets them. Mapo tofu (veg) - uh oh, they forgot the green onions! Despite that, the tofu was very mild and savory. I always wondered how they get it to be so savory. The mapo I make at home is still my favorite but I always still get it for the nostalgia. Crispy fish - Tasty, savory, slightly smoky and spicy. And best of all, **cwissppyyyy* String beans - Standard string beans. I wish there were more garlic but I'm an absolute fiend. They're likely perfect for most Garlic eggplant -

Mongolian Beef, flavor is average. No green onions as it's supposed to have.

I wish I had spent my money somewhere else I thought I'd try this place and at 12:30 on a Monday you'd think with all the glowing reviews it would be busy... not the case. The restaurant was empty except for one customer who had placed an order for takeout. I'm surprised that the Mongolian Beef wasn't cooked to the description and in comparison to previous customers pictures. I don't see any green onion, lots of peppers but no green onion. No white rice with the dish?!? You are paying a la carte for every thing needed to complete a dish. I'm sure it's a great place to enjoy if you don't care about paying for everything separately and then to have mediocre food. Who's ever cooking needs to go to culinary school. What dish needs that many peppers?

We have eaten here for many years and everything we have eaten has been great. The hot fish and cumin lamb are two of my favorites.

The culinary experience was so over the top, I don't even know where to begin. IT.WAS.THAT.GREAT. It all started upon entering this smaller restaurant that has a peaceful ambiance, as we were cheerfully greeted by Jeanne, who knew we were arriving as our friend had called ahead. Snce we arrived a little early, and our friend was en route, we decided to try the scallion pancakes, with the Chengdu spicy dumplings and sesame bread which was enthusiastically recommended by Jeanne. The appetizers arrived and we all enjoyed them. The dumplings arrived in a spicy broth-like elixir that complemented the soft pillowy pockets of seasoned pork. The scallion pancakes were mediocre at best, but the sesame bread was amazing!! It had the perfect texture and savory flavor that was enjoyed by all. For our entrees, we ordered two dishes of the Stir Fried Shrimp with Yibin Chili and asparagus (extremely delicious), a spicy Clay Pot Fish, Beef and Napa Cabbage with spicy chili sauce (incredible spicy flavor!), Hot and Spicy Chicken (chunks of deep fried chicken, yum!!), Combination Fried Rice, and an order of the sauteed snow pea leaves. Everything arrived fresh and freshly prepared. Every entree we chose was exceptional! Our iced teas and ice waters were always refilled, and boy were we stuffed! I highly reccomend this restaurant if you're are looking for a more authentic Chinese dining expereince! Make sure to ask for Jeanne!

Then we get home, as we literally ordered a medium pot last week, this was clearly smaller than what we had last week. We even took out a container ordered a while ago for small which is the exact same size as the one we got today which is supposed to be a medium. It even feels lighter.... I'm glad that I finally tried it though. My favorite part about this place was all the side dishes. They were all very high-quality and delicious. It was the first time I tried 1000 year-old egg. The presentation was beautiful and the Szechuan added a nice kick to it. The fried pork belly was crispy outside and still juicy inside. The fried bean curd was perhaps my favorite; a lightly breaded crispy exterior with a delicately soft interior. When you order the fish soup, you get to choose additional ingredients to add inside. We picked little mushrooms, wide noodles, and green leafy veg. The mushrooms were so small that they kind of got lost in the soup so I probably wouldn't recommend those. However, the wide noodles were excellent with a nice chewy texture. The soup itself was sour but not as sour as I was expecting, which was a pleasant surprise. Next time I would like to try the combination, fish and beef soup. The homemade milk mochi was amazing. You cannot skip this dessert. 5-stars. The four of us split the soup for three and it ended up being around $30 per person. This was for lunch and we were very full afterwards.

Meat quality is excellent, service is friendly and now they include a homemade shaved ice dessert which is cool. The only unfortunate thing is that they've bumped up their "basic" menu quite a bit and kinda priced me out of what I would call a quick casual go-to meal. While I am happy they are doing well, it's just not a place that I can frequent anymore especially being that my wife doesn't eat that much anyway. Would have been nice to have a slightly lower tier option available as not everyone cares for Wagyu. Definitely still an authentic hot pot experience though!
