Just had a carryout large 3 item pizza and 1/2 order of Italian garlic cheese loaf. Cheese loaf was not toasted, had no garlic butter or seasonings so just warm bread with melted cheese. For the pizza, we have eaten here for over 30 years and this was one of the worst pizzas from here. Sauce almost nonexistent, toppings didn't fully cover the crust, some toppings not spread but piles. Could have gotten better pizza elsewhere at much cheaper price. We went out to eat on a Saturday night and decided to try Little Sicily's for the first time since it had been recommended to us. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza with mushrooms. It's hard to pinpoint what I loved most about their pizza. It was loaded with toppings, and the pepperonis were perfectly crisp. There were plenty of mushrooms, and the pizza had just the right balance of spice and sweetness. I really appreciated how they baked it; there was no undercooked dough at all. The cheese melted perfectly with just a slight char, and the sauce had a wonderful sweetness that reminded me of Columbus-style pizza. Husband used to go here back in 2013 when he worked nearby and said the food was great but since he switched jobs he had forgotten about its so tonight we were trying to find a good pizza place and he mentioned Little Sicily and promised me that I would love it lol The vibe is so laid back and cozy and everyone is so friendly. We ordered salad and pizza and it definitely did not disappoint! The crust is an in between crisp and thick so it's perfect. Finally made a visit to this highly thought of pizza joint in an obscure location on the way east side. They sure were busy at 1pm on a beautiful Thursday. 1) Prices online are incorrect. That happens. 2) In the cooler: Beer, soft drinks, wine coolers, but no water. Also many wine bottles. A little bit of everything. That's nice. 3) I ordered a small pep. Great sauce. Nice crust. I do think it was a bit underdone. Next time I'll ask for more oven time. Nice dining area. I wonder if it is not air conditioned? It was very warm. I'm happy I came, good pie. I ordered take out from Little Sicily's because I was in the mood for an Italian sub and it had really good reviews. Based on the outside appearance, it is definitely a mom and pop shop that has been in business for a long time. It's located just outside the 270 loop near I-70 and the slogan is "pizza worth the drive." They have a large selection of specialty pizzas and subs. Pizza sizes are mini (8"), small (11"), and large (15"). I went with the 'Little Sicily's Famous Sub' and a mini BBQ chicken pizza. The sub was really good, and definitely worth getting again. But the pizza was just average in my opinion. That said, the prices were solid, including draft beer ($7-8 per pitcher for domestic). read more

I ordered take out on 5/10/2024 on a Friday evening. Large pepperoni, sausage with mushrooms, this was my first time at Little Sicily's. I was not disappointed. It's hard for me to say what I loved most about their pizza. Lots of toppings. The pepperonis were crisp, the sausage pieces were the largest in size I've encountered on a pizza, with the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. I like how they baked it. There is no undercook at all on this pie. The cheese has that perfect melt with just a touch of char. The sauce had a bit of sweetness to it that you would find on a Columbus style pizza. The crust was thin but not a cracker crust. It had a nice bite and chew to it, but not too thick. I ordered over the phone. They were friendly and quick to get my order to me when I arrived. I honestly hate to say goodbye to this pizza place , but things have just changed so much since my last review. Pizza is NOT consistent. Crust has been soggy and unflavored. Staff are young kids who just don't care about the quality I've always known this place to be. Beer was warm, salad was warm with brown lettuce . The waitress even asked me if I was done with my salad dish and tongs because they don't have enough for the whole dining room. Both pizzas were small however the small is actually big enough for 2 people depending on how hungry both people are. I will def go back and try another pizza.
