This place has that 100% WOW factor! Every single detail scores a 5/5 from me! The staff is incredibly warm, helpful, and knowledgeable over the phone and in person. Dr. Jenny and her assistants were gentle, reassuring, and very thorough. It honestly felt like my daughter was the only patient being cared for. By the end of the visit she was loving all of the attention and didn't want to leave It was nice to be in an office where the staff interacted with my daughter, but they also focused on the importance of speaking to me directly and making sure I understood and was comfortable. Genius! I was able to relax which allowed me to help my daughter understand, participate, and cope. All of our options were explained in detail and I left feeling comfortable and confident about my 2 year old daughter's situation, and was able to make an informed decision. This was our first visit which was for an unfortunate tooth injury, but Dr. Jenny and her staff made the search for the perfect pediatric dentist for routine care a no-brainer! Dr. Jenny and all the staff are warm and friendly. I write this review to warn parents to seek 2nd opinions if possible when faced with being told your teen has cavities needing treatment. Been taking both kids to Little Smiles since they were in elementary school. Due to not being in network for my insurance, our last appt in January 2024, we were told and shown that our daughter had 5 cavities and the estimate would run around $1500. Dr. Jenny jokingly asked, "Do you drink Starbucks drinks because if so, we tend to see cavities in teens due to sugary drink consumption." I sought a 2nd opinion at my adult dentist knowing the cost to get them addressed would be lower, given they are in network since Little Smiles is not in network for us. To my surprise, x-ray films sent over and evaluated by my adult dentist discovered that my daughter had NO evidence of ANY cavities whatsoever--nor the beginnings of ANY cavities. In shock, I asked if they were certain. A second set of x-rays were taken to confirm and ease my mind. Again, ZERO cavities. Had I not sought their care to reduce cost, my daughter's beautiful adult teeth would have been drilled and modified for no reason. I warn everyone as I too had been warned that dentistry can be notorious for recommending unnecessary treatment to make a profit. My daughter had a friend who experienced something similar from Little Smiles. Unfortunately, this discovery ended my respect and my relationship at Little Smiles Dentistry in Cedar Park. They have a fun office with friendly staff and all but sometimes that can cover up lucrative practices if you as a consumer are not vigilant. I'm fortunate that my circumstances resulted in preventing unnecessary dental work for my daughter's adult teeth. We go twice per year for regular checkups and the next checkups at our adult dentist confirmed--STILL ZERO cavities whatsoever this past January 2025. Both of my daughters have been cavity free their entire lives so far and we hope to keep it that way. My advice, get a 2nd opinion if you have the time especially when it involves your child's permanent teeth. read more

Staff is warm and friendly, but we've been getting scammed in the 'you have cavities' category. We've been taking our kids here for years and our son has never had cavities. (daughter has had multiple). One recent day, they diagnosed our son with 3 cavities. So we took him to our adult dentist/Dr for 2nd opinion, and NO cavities at all. He showed me xrays and used "poker" on teeth. He explained that sometimes other Dr's use 'darkness' of the tooth (on xrays) as reason for cavities. But along with the tooth "Poker" (sorry, don't know what instrument is called), my adult Dr explained there wasn't "stickiness" in depths of cavity, and one cannot go just from the discoloration of xray. Also explained that sides of teeth on kids have these 'developmental grooves', which are also sometimes used as excuses for cavities when these eventually close up. We are very upset as our poor daughter has had multiple cavities , which maybe sure some were legit, but probably vast majority were not! We will never go here again. Staff is friendly, and maybe not well trained at best, and worst case is they are trained to be 'loose' on diagnosis of cavities. This is a wonderful dental office IF, and ONLY IF you have a particular dental insurance in which they are in network, OR if you don't mind paying astronomically high prices out of pocket. I have Cigna PPO which is out of network. I asked BEFORE the service if it was covered by insurance and they said YES. 6 months later, I get the bill. "You are responsible for the difference between Cigna's fee and Dr. Jenny's fee." So I guess my question shouldn't have been "is this covered by my insurance?" but rather "how much will I have to pay out of pocket for this?" and requested they do a good faith estimate or whatever it's called when they call the insurance company first and tell me the quote before hand. Lesson learned. In any case, it should not cost me $673 AFTER THE INSURANCE PAYMENT to have two kids teeth cleaned, x-Ray & Fluoride. To the business owner: when a layman asks you if this is covered by their insurance, they are trying to figure out if their out of pocket cost will be zero. Please. Do not tell them "yes" then hit them with a bill months later. Tell them something like "we can contact your insurance and get back with you." Thank you for listening. My daughter and I had our first consultation in June. The staff was very friendly and kind, especially Manny. Dr Jenny's office is beautiful! Very clean and immaculate. My daughter had a tooth infection as well and was prescribed antibiotics before the surgery. I informed Dr. Jenny that we have a bleeding disorder in my family and that she needs to be aware of it. We were scheduled for our surgery in July. The day before the surgery K(receptionist) called me and informed me that the anesthesiologist was requesting me to take my daughter to a hematologist the same day. It takes 3-4 months to get into a pediatric hematologist. I know from experience. I told her that could not happen that they can contact Treehouse Pediatrics- my pediatrician and they can consult with him. Two more phone calls from K that day and at 4:50 the day before the surgery! K called and said that the anesthesiologist cancelled the surgery because of the blood disorder. I was upset, because I had informed Dr Jenny in June. I also am a teacher. I have to get any medical issues done in the summer. This delay would put me into the school year. They only get an anesthesiologist once a month. I asked why is it getting cancelled and who did not do their homework? K stated that the anesthesiologist had the information weeks previously. I was very upset and disappointed. I relayed that to K. I asked her for next steps. She did not know. I really feel like Dr. Jenny should of called me that day and to explain or apologize. I feel like a lot of my frustration would has easily been relieved if she would of took the time to call me. The next morning. I had to call them to get the ball rolling on what they needed to get her ready for surgery. K did not know the blood test. I asked the anesthesiologist to order the blood work or Dr. Jenny. She said neither would. That I would need my pediatrician to do it. I asked what test should I ask them to order. K did not know. I called again the next day. Asked the same question. I then called Treehouse to help me..to call Little Smiles....I took my daughter to Treehouse and got her blood drawn. The next day K called and explained that that was the wrong test. I would need to get this other test. I then had to go back to Treehouse to get the blood drawn on a fearful little girl again! I then called my dentist who is friends with anesthesiologist that usually helps Dr. Jenny. (why I was referred there to begin with) Dr Heaton then did call me and try to help me with the process and did explain to me that this was a substitute Dr from their practice. He tried to mediate between Dr. Jenny and I. He mentioned that the substitute only got the information the day before the surgery. This contradicts what K told me. (red flag) He did want me to take my Dr to a hematologist. I begged our Dr. from Dell to wiggle us in. She did! But then I had the problem of trying to locate this specific medication to prevent bleeding. Again! I had to phone a pharmacist friend to help me locate this rare drug. Dr. Heaton then asked Dr. Orr (another substitute anesthesiologist to take my daughter on for her surgery. Dr Orr was great! He called me. He wanted to know the surgery plan from Dell. He calmed me down and listened. I had also called Little Smiles to try to get them to contact Dell to get the surgery plan as well so we are all on the same page for surgery day. K was reluctant and I really don't even think she took down the email to contact her. I was blown off once again. We got to surgery day. I had asked for early morning. I got 11:00. I then was called around 9:00 to bring her in early. I was at work and had to scramble to get her there. I did sit down with Dr. Jenny and tried to relay calmly my frustration. She just said it was a substitute and no apology or explanation. She then acted like this extraction was not a big deal. I then asked her.. "Why was it delayed then to begin with?" The surgery did go well with no complications. I was pleased and felt like she is competent and I was thankful for Dr. Orr. I knew he had our back. I felt I had to do so much extra and did more than Little Smiles to get this accomplished safely. I also feel like an initial phone call or game plan would of alleviated a lot of frustration and resentment. read more

Like the last three reviewers, I am extremely dissappointed with Little Smiles. We got a bill that we were quite surprised by, so we asked why some of the services on the bill had been performed and were dismissively told that they were "recommended" by Dr Jenny. Truth-be-told, I really want to give them the lowest possible rating, but I've committed to using a standardized rating system and I am going to stick to it. Based on the breakdown below, I have to give Little Smiles a score of 2.8 (and we always round down on the star meter so that the only way to get 5 stars is to deliver a 5-star experience across the board). Friendliness: 2 They are personable enough when you're in the office, but we are extremely dissappointed in how they're choosing to handle our billing concerns. Cleanliness: 5 Place looks great. Value: 2 I've certainly seen worse, but it seems like they've gotten into the habit of charging people for anything they feel like they can get away with. This is a pretty common practice with businesses whose profits are either on the decline or not growing at the rate a business is accustomed to. There are several new dentists in the area with absolutely stellar reviews that may be cutting into their profits. Of course, this is just speculation. Integrity: 1 We always say integrity is doing what you say you're going to do, and our problem in this case is that they DIDN'T say what they were going to do. They keep insisting that Dr. Jenny "recommends" dental x-rays every 6 months, but we have a child with a perfect dental history and exposing a child to potentially harmful x-rays without explanation seems irresponsible at best. Process: 4 Other than not communicating thoroughly with their customers (and blaming us for not telling them NOT to do unnecessary things), the process here is fine from a customer perspective. read more

If I could give them a 0 stars I would!!!!! Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Not only did Dr. Jenny tell me that the only reason my child had Gerd was because he had a lip tie they were also very insistent that he had it fixed. He's almost two. After talking to my pediatrician and Gastro doctors, they both told me that's crazy and they're just trying to get money out of me. It will fix itself. It has caused him no problems and that's not the reason he has acid indigestion. Before I took my son there I called and asked if he would be covered under the insurance that we have. I was told he would be. A month later we get a bill in the mail for $140. I called to ask if my insurance was ran. They said yes. I asked why it was so much. They said because my Insurance is out of net work. WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU TELL ME MY SON WOULD BE COVERED THEN?!?! She goes well we take your insurance but it's out of net work so we charge out of network. WHY THE HECK WASN'T THAT TOLD TO BE BECORE I TOOK HIM THERE? I would NEVER have brought him here if I would have known they were out of network. 140 dollars for a maybe 10 minute appointment to just LOOK at his teeth. Absolutely ridiculous. As an ADULT with another dentist I cannot mark 5 stars for their dental work, but as a PARENT I will give them 5+ stars for the caring service and attention to detail they give to my daughter. Nothing concerns a parent more than the ability to quell the fear in their children's heart and mind for a dental visit. Visits are never "routine" when a child has no expectations of what will happen. Kids just know what the TV shows them (or other kids say).... sharp needles, loud noises and tools that look scary... etc. Here at "Little Smiles" on our visits, my daughter has always felt relaxed and confident that I am not placing her in harms way. Each time we visit, it takes less discussion and cohersion as she builds confidence and trust with everyone here. Little Smiles has been a great start for us and our daughters dentistry experience. The attitude of the environment and staff are always cheery and positive. The doctors, like Doctor Jordan, are caring and the overall experience is a good one. We have been taking our three boys to Dr. Jenny since two of them were born. Her front office staff is always friendly and able to answer any questions, they have a brand new, huge facility, with iPads in the waiting area and lots of bright colors and fun things to keep the little ones entertained. My boys never complain about going to the dentist, they actually look forward to going! She has a kind and well trained staff of hygienists who are great with talking to the kids in their language. Dr. Jenny is also great about respecting my time as a parent of three, they are able to get all three boys seen together and most times in and out as fast as one appointment. Both of our kids (2 & 4) are patients of this practice. I took our 4 year old today and the service and experience was stellar. Two stars because we have been going to this dentist for 7 years now. The hygienists are very good and we've had mostly good experiences there. Recently, we were hit with a hefty bill for routine cleaning and x-rays (that are covered 100%). The office failed to let us know that they were no longer covered by our insurance. They said it was the responsibility of the insurance company to let us know and were not willing to work with us. We will also be seeking a second opinion on what we feel is unnecessary dental work. We were told my daughter needed a crown on a baby tooth that she wouldn't lose until she was "at least 11". We chose to get the crown at the age of 8 and it fell out less than 9 months later. I really liked this office when we first started going, but feel that it has gone downhill with unnecessary recommended dental work and failure to let us know they dropped our insurance. read more

I knew what's gem Dr Jenny was when I posted this review many years ago. What I didn't realize was how rare she is. We moved away from Texas a couple of years ago and we're still searching for a great pediatric dentist. We haven't been able to find anyone who is as kind and engaging with kids without being fake. Someone who uses kid friendly language to explain to them what she's doing so they aren't afraid. We have found that most dentists don't want parents to come back with their kids. The wedge pillow to hold their mouths open seems to be standard by default even if the kid doesn't have an issue with biting. My kids biggest complaint is not being able choose their own movie during treatment like the were able to at Little smiles. My biggest complaint is dentist who want to fill areas that aren't yet cavities and aren't covered by insurance. I am SO GRATEFUL for our time with Dr Jenny. Dr. Jenny has been incredible with my child. We had a bad experience at our first dentist and knew we had to find someone else. Not only did this office and Dr. Jenny have great reviews, but our pediatrician took her son there as well. So, our first experience blew me out of the water. My kid was nervous at first and the staff knew how to get her comfortable. They explained the tools, let her pick out her own flavored toothpaste (chocolate...of course) and she let them do a full exam on her. No tears! She LOVES coming here. They have a TV, toys, the office is set up really cute and then after a successful exam, they get a token for a toy from the prize tower. I went here to get a second opinion. The long time pediatric dentist I took my son too was in Georgetown. He said my son needed either two silver crowns or extractions. I wasn't comfortable with his treatment plan knowing that they were baby teeth ready to fall out soon. Dr. Jenny confirmed that we didn't need to do anything and to let them fall out on their own. She saved us time, money, and pain that my son would have to endure. She was thorough and even took additional x-rays at no cost since I had just paid to have them done at his other dentist. I brought my 3 year old (first timer) and 5 year old here and they had a great experience. Staff and Dentist are super friendly and nurturing. They both had cleaning and X-rays done with no fuss. They said my 3 year has 4 cavities (2 front teeth and 2 in the back). I brought her back to get her filing and they were GREAT! She experienced no pain and did not need to be put asleep. She watched 'Frozen' the whole time she was there, and their instruments were not loud. The procedure was fast and painless for my little one. My two young daughters (3.5 yr and 22 mth) go to Dr. Jenny. I can't say enough about the office staff and Dr. Jenny! My kids are excited to go to the dentist; not a fear at all. The staff are very kind and patient with the kids, explaining what is going to happen in a manner in which they can understand and that does not leave them wondering. Both have had xrays (baby acting crazy + glass table = chipped tooth) , and the oldest has had cleanings. Every time has gone smooth and we've all left happy. We took our 3 year old here today for her first visit. We had been looking for a new pediatric dentist for months after trying Smiles of Round Rock and hated it. We came here on a recommendation from a friend, and did not regret it. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately (front desk staff was incredibly friendly) and only waited roughly 10 minutes to be seen. During that 10 minute wait, our daughter occupied herself with the iPads and movie playing in the waiting room. Once called back, she saw the hygenist who was super sweet to our daughter, as we mentioned she'd only been to a dentist one other time and had been apprehensive about seeing the dentist. She asked if we had questions and answered them with ease, and they were also able to do some x-rays of our daughter's teeth since this was her first time being seen here. Two stars because it is clean, the front staff and hygienists we have had have been good. I have been taking my kids here for 4.5 years so we have had 8 visits with two kids each. My son has autism, but a mild form so it's not always obvious that he needs to be handled with sensitivity and empathy (all children should even without the disability). He has been in feeding therapy for years and was 3 at his first appointment at this dentist. He did the entire appointment and everything that was required. The dr comes in and I explained his autism and oral sensitivity. She then proceeds to look in his mouth and tells him it's time for fluoride. I told her that might be an issue. We had been bribing him with the coin to get him this far and he was told he had earned it for the cleaning etc. well the dr tells him that unless he does fluoride he doesn't get one. Surprise, he wouldn't do fluoride. So she handed my daughter a coin and told him he didn't get one. I was livid and walked him out front and got one for him from the receptionist. I mean he's three and has autism along with an oral sensory issue that he had been in therapy for for two years at this point. That was four years ago. We went back just because it was easy since they already had our info, etc. we have had pretty good luck since then, but I have been more vocal about his needs and I have stood up for him when needed. Don't think I am coddling him, I still make him do everything, but I encourage empathy and for them to explain what they are doing. Our last appointment we did sealant. Still with the oral issues, that hasn't changed. They took us back to a treatment room. He was vocal (not a scream or even close to it) by crying about a large plastic dam he had to wear with suction. He took it out and tasted the soap which I guess is really gross. He cried about that as well. Then a lady in scrubs (not sure her title or name) comes in and speaks directly to my son in a short tempered voice "you're scaring my friends out here, you need to be quiet and more brave. You're too loud and they are getting scared". That really rubbed me the wrong way. How about you find out about the patient or talk to the mother about what you can do to help. Or maybe shut the door. Do not guilt my kid that has significant oral sensory issues into being quiet because he is scaring "your friends". I told the lady doing the procedure that I was not okay with her insensitivity toward my son. She agreed and apologized, but the damage was done. My son was not helped or encouraged by what she said. He was shamed and it was rude. Since we have had two issues here, I would encourage parents of kids with special needs to go somewhere else. We are now for sure. read more

We've been to this dentistry for about a year. My wife and I took our kids in different times. We both had bad experience. The hygienist was friendly. However, two(2) different office staffs approached to me three(3) times under one visit insisting to add more service out of my pocket. I made myself clear in all three times that I would like to stick with services listed under the appointment. I brought two boys with me under one visit, which should make the visit more profitable. I read other negative Yelp reviews, and others have experienced the same. Another bad experience today and we are done with this facility. read more
