Dr. Vasut and his team are simply the best! The front desk staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step in the door. The hygienists are skilled, thorough, and empathetic. Dr. Vasut is highly engaged and takes great care to ensure patients and parents understand what is going on and the recommended treatment plan. We took our son here for his first dental exam and never left -- about 12 years, until recently moving out of state. It took about zero minutes in our new location to figure out what gems this office and staff truly are. Cannot recommend more! read more

Just brought my unvaccinated 6 year old into Dr. Vasut's office in one of the biggest Covid surges we've had yet. Pretty much no one wearing masks, none of the front desk staff were wearing masks, no plastic partitions or anything. Caught a glimpse in the back and saw 2 hygienists, one masked, one with her mask around her chin. They told me they follow the Governor's mandate (and not advice from the CDC!). Left, of course. Seriously disappointed with this health professional, who works with a large segment of the population who is unable to be vaccinated. read more

Disappointed. We had a great experience with Dr Boboia in 2019, who has now left the practice. Our experience with the staff and Dr Vasut was not great this year. My daughter has high dental anxiety, as noted in previous visits and on her intake form this year, particularly in regard to X-ray bite wings. The notes were clearly not read by the hygienists, because they immediately rushed her to take x-rays, and attempted to coerce her into submission with humiliating statements like "You are 9, and 4 year olds do this with no problem!" There was no cleaning of her teeth at all. They got frustrated and called Dr Vasut over, who refused to treat her, and said he'd refer us to a dentist who used sedation. Interestingly, Dr Boboia used sedation on her in 2019 with an outside team, so I'm assuming that Dr Vasut no longer uses the outside anesthesia teams. If I had known about these fundamental changes to the practice, I would have taken my daughter elsewhere to avoid the unnecessary trauma experienced here. I'm not sure what the $90 bill to my insurance was for, but I will be disputing. read more

I have never been more impressed with any pediatric office! Kim was amazing and comforted my son who was crying and refusing to open his mouth when we came in, and he left laughing and high giving. The staff is friendly, and the care seems good. My issue is billing. On two separate occasions, I have been quoted one price then hit with another, higher price. One time can be a mistake, two times is a pattern. In the first instance they used a fluoride treatment on my son, but he spit it out. Billed anyway, then did it again next visit without my knowledge. No big deal, I trusted them. But then charged me an extra $50 because insurance only covers it once per year. I asked why I was not informed, and was told "We don't let insurance companies tell us how to treat our patients". Ok, cool, but if you know it will cost ME extra, you darn well better tell me since I'm the dude paying! Next visit is my daughter, and now it gets pricey. She needs an expander. I'm told it's $1,400, and I have to pay half ($700) up front. Ok, I pay it. Procedure done, then I get billed for another $250. Not surprisingly, I inquire as to why. I'm told my insurance only allows them to bill $900, so they can only collect half of the $900 ($450) from them, but I have to pay the rest based on their $1,400 charge. But wait! If you are in my network, and you agree to accept $900, then you should accept $900. Instead they want to collect an additional amount on top of what they agreed upon with both me and the insurance company. Not cool, no matter how you slice it. Bottom line is that the care is probably ok, but never doubt for one minute that it is a profit centered business. Your child is a number, and that number is preceded by a dollar sign. read more

My neighbor recommended this dentist for my toddler. I called and got an appointment for his first checkup the same day, which worked well for us. All the paperwork was available to me ahead of time online, which was convenient. When we arrived, we were greeted by the receptionist who was very friendly and courteous. My son loved the waiting room, which had books, a hand puppet, cool stools to climb on and off, and a video game console that had cool visuals and audio. We were called back promptly and met with a hygienist for a quick consult, before meeting Dr. Bert. He is a very warm and friendly man. He chatted with us for a minute and then we went back to the exam room for a quick brush and fluoride treatment. Dr. Bert then did an exam and we were done! In and out in less than 20 minutes. We liked this place a lot. We'll be going back in six months for his next checkup. read more

I am so disappointed in Cedar Park Pediatric Dentistry. My children have been going there for approximately 10 years and we've mostly had positive experiences. First, I will admit that my children (especially my daughter) are very anxious when it comes to the dentist (that is what initially brought us to CPPD) and it can be stressful for all involved. Case in point, today my daughter had an appointment and she got so upset that we had to stop and not go through with the planned work. It was then recommended that I take her somewhere that would fully sedate her (I've done this in the past at CPPD, but it is no longer an option there). Although I was a bit frustrated at the situation, I completely understood that for the safety of all involved, it was not possible for them to do the work on my daughter. However, before my daughter's appointment, I had scheduled an appointment for my son to have work done in a few weeks. Well, a few hours after we got home today I received a phone call saying that my son's appointment had been canceled and if I had any questions to call them. When I did call I was told that a Doctor (who has never even seen or met my son) decided that he too would need to be sedated and that it would be best for me to take him to a different dentist. He had just seen Dr. Vasut a few weeks prior to this and nothing like that had been discussed, in fact we were discussing him getting braces soon. I'm not even frustrated with the fact that they don't feel like their practice is a good fit for my children. What is so upsetting is that after seeing them for so many years, I just got a voicemail saying my son's appointment has been canceled and no other explanation, so that left me to assume that they no longer wanted to treat him, which was the case. I just feel like that is really not the way you treat someone who has been trusting their children to your practice for a decade. If they had called me and wanted to talk about the situation, that would've been so much more professional and would have made me feel like they valued mine and my children's loyalty to their practice. I felt like we were just dismissed like we were trash. It is very upsetting to me, but at least I know that they are not who we thought they were all these years and I will happily take my children to a better practice. I will also fully admit that I told the person I spoke with that I thought it was a very "sh*tty" thing for them to do but, that's exactly how I feel about the situation. I gave them three stars because we have had several good experiences there and most of the staff are incredibly kind and polite. I am very disappointed that this is how our relationship ended with this business and I hope in the future they go about ending relationships with their patients in a more professional manner. read more

This practice is wonderful! My kids have been patients here for a decade and I have only ever had positive experiences. I am an RN and I manage a busy medical facility so I have extremely high standards. With that out of the way, I'll tell you what I love. There is very low turnover in this office. In a market that is as competitive as the Austin/CP market that says a lot. The team is friendly and kid-centric. When you walk in the door, you are treated warmly. Things move at an amazing pace. You are never waiting long and, what I love the most - they clean my kids at the same time. This type of respect for my time is impressive and it's what initially kept me coming back. Instead of having to entertain one child in the lobby while the other is treated, I sit between my two kids and the team goes to work. Fantastic!! Dr. Vasut is exactly the type of physician I love. He speaks to the children directly and involves them in their oral care. He explains what he is doing and why, and really helps teach them accountability for their oral hygiene. When it comes time to discuss a treatment plan, we discuss it together. Moreover, we are always given choices, it's never "this is what you are doing", but options are presented and then we make our decisions together. Finally, we have never had any issues at all with billing. Our cost estimates have always been very accurate and timely. I completely disagree with the reviewer that says the kids are a number with a dollar sign. My experience has been so vastly different and I actually find the practice to lean towards conservative treatment options rather than more expensive solutions. My kids have zero fear of going to the dentist. I've never met Dr. Sam but my kids also rave about him. Not one single complaint or "could have done better" ever. read more

This was my sons first visit to the dentist and needless to say he was scared. The front office workers were friendly and energetic upon arrival which was refreshing. Nelda was great with him and worked around his stubbornness.She had a great attitude the whole time and did not push him to do anything that he was not comfortable with. I can't say enough to explain how difficult it was for me to just think about bringing my 11yo for tooth extraction to prep him for braces. I didn't even say anything to my kid to get him ready worried that he is going to freak out. To my surprise he left the office with one tooth less and with absolute calm and smile. The magic is in the hands of Dr Bert, he is absolutely amazing, especially when he talks to the kid during the procedure, the conversation is so smooth, very quiet, natural as almost between the best friends, and funny. He has many tricks in his pocket and works really fast. The personnel is really knowledgeable too and very welcoming. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Boboia, Dr. Vasut and the entire staff at Cedar Park Pediatric Dentistry. First, I met these fabulous people when I was a Director of a Preschool and they came to teach the children about dental hygiene. They were all SO amazing with the kids and they came every year with big smiles. Even though it took time away from their day at the office, these ladies were all so happy to be there. I loved them so much that when my kids grew older and it was time for a dentist, I chose them. I cannot express how amazing Dr. Boboia was with my first son when he had really bad anxiety about the dentist. He and my second child now happily go to their appointments thanks to him and the absolutely amazing hygienists. My oldest son tore his frenulum at a younger age. Now a couple years later, he lost his baby tooth and the adult tooth is growing in. It looked really concerning to me because it looked like he was missing too much gum line due to the previous injury. I called the office on a Friday when they were closed. I meant to leave a message at the office since it wasn't an emergency, but I accidentally got Dr. Vasut's phone for emergencies. I made sure to say it was not an emergency and it can wait, but he happily returned my call immediately and eased my mind right away! He saved me days of worrying about it. This place is great! Greeted when you walk in and an awesome area for kids to play. This helped relax and distract my kids before going back. Both of my kids were afraid but my 4 year old ended up doing great. They talked with him and made him feel comfortable. My 2 year was not cooperative but they handled it very well. Very professional and friendly staff. They have prizes for the kids and entered into their no cavity drawing for a gift card. I highly recommend Dr. Vasut and his office. We have been going to him for eight plus years now and would not want to go to any other pediatric dentist! I originally took my son to Dr. Vasut for a second opinion. He was recommended by a preschool teacher who had had a good experience. The dentist we had been seeing for the previous few years was proposing some drastic work to be done, including putting him under, which I did not think was necessary considering his demeanor and ability to cooperate. From the moment we walked in the door at Cedar Park Pediatric Dentistry, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Vasut spent time talking with, listening and getting to know my son before ever looking in his mouth. He reviewed the X-rays we had brought with us (didn't request that we retake X-rays on his machines.) He spent time listening to my rendition of the other dentist's prognosis after giving his opinion. The verdict was that my son did not need the level of work that the other dentist had proposed, nor would he need sedation for a cavity. Of course I was relieved that his professional opinion agreed with my gut feel. I was extremely impressed by how he interacted with me and my son. We immediately switched to Dr. Vasut. I have recommended him multiple times to friends and have only heard good experiences. One of my friends had done the whole braces routine with one child, has a non-brusher for her other child and she continues to love Dr. Vasut and recommend him! We have been through many cavities (my son was prone to them with his baby teeth), Dr. Vasut and staff have always been firm in reinforcing the hygiene without shaming or being mean. We have watched difficult baby teeth that are in the way of the adult teeth and determined whether to pull or not. (One my son was able to work out the other we pulled a year later before it became a real issue. The root on the second one was 2/3 the length of the tooth!) My daughter goes to Dr. Vasut too and really likes him. She has had less challenging teeth, so there are less interesting stories for her... It is never a battle to get my kids to the dentist office. Both kids like the games in the waiting room, the coin rewards and putting their name in the trout! We are in the middle of doing braces on my son. The timelines and steps have been clearly communicated. Billing has been efficient and straight forward. The office is always clean and welcoming. The appointments are timely and efficient, rarely have we had to wait after our appointment time, and often they have taken the kids early if we are there. The front desk staff is welcoming and wonderful at working to schedule kids together for multiple appointments (like cleanings with braces checks). I am very thankful that we have found this group and appreciative of their ongoing hard work. read more

I have been taking all my 3 kids to Dr Bert for the longest time...about 9 years now. They all love him and staff are super friendly and nice. They know how to work with kids, including the parents. Always keeping the parents up-to-date in everything your children are undergoing. Dr Bert takes the time to understand and review what is needed for your child and always go through this with the parents, which is so helpful! He is very patient and makes sure that parents have all their questions answered. The clinical staff and hygienists/nurses are super nice too! That definitely helps when they're cleaning your children's teeth. The Billing dept is always available and helps in any billing questions or insurance, etc... you might have. Overall, Cedar Park Dentistry is the place to go for any of your pediatric dentistry needs for your kids. read more
