My son took lessons with Ben for almost 8 months. We loved him. My son has severe autism and is 3 years-old. When Ben left, we were told there were no available instructors for 2 weeks. The third week we showed up to class and my son had been placed in a group class. I went to the office to find out what happened, all the reviews were correct, dismissive, rude, refused to take any accountability or at least meet with me in private to discuss. The office staff at this location is a nightmare. They appear stuck in high school mode and have zero empathy or care. They even refused a private meeting. Told me I had to pay more $300/month in order to continue with lessons like we've been receiving. Did not offer make up lessons but I made sure to ask for them. My son did not understand why he couldn't participate in swimming that day. We both left crying. His disability was not accommodated. All of a sudden. Placing him in a group class had never been discussed with me. They tried to tell me they didn't know he was disabled. After months of working with him. I'm shopping for another swimming school, please don't support this business, management is soulless. read more

So regret I didn't check the Yelp reviews before I booked a series classes! Young teachers are very nice and this facility is so fortune to have someone wanted to work with them. Management team is nightmare and I echoed a few reviews as below. The lady in charge Kirstin will yell at you, roll eyes at you, gossip behind you, making false accusations on you. I got her accusation email while we were still on the way back after class. She literally said I yelled at her while she was the one who was rude and rolled eyes so many times at me. I can't believe someone like her would work with a place full of kids. I honestly feel afraid to go back inside for the safety of my child. Glad she kicked me out and I would never go back! Started bringing my 3 year old son who has never been in a pool (only water pads & baths) so you could say absolutely ZERO experience. Unfortunately, had to switch days/time/instructors & this is the results in bullet points: - Isabella & Katelyn (swim instructors) get frustrated with teaching young kids. They expect 3 year olds with little communication skills to do everything expected in their "curriculum" so your child is expected to hold their breath while being held under water panicking & expected to swim underwater to grab rings after just a few lessons. -Tilde & Kristen (ladies in charge if you will) will dismiss your concerns & accusations because their instructors have "experience" and your child should know how to swim by now. - They will "observe" your child's lessons from downstairs. If you know the facility you may be wondering how is that possible. Tilden & Kristen must have some outstanding vision cause WOW! - Isabella will tell your child they "will be punished" if they can't properly complete a task asked of them. I didn't realize other people could punish someone else's child. - If your child is the only one in the class you must be grateful the other spots are not filled because they are getting a private lesson even though that is not what you agreed to in your contract. (They'll rub it in your face) - Don't bother asking for a refund. Tilde will tell you she did you a favor for switching your day/time & give you a "free" class without your knowledge so they feel better about themselves. (This too will be thrown at your face) - Good note: My son's first instructor (Destini) is the absolute best! She actually tried to teach my son while having fun but now Tilde will have to speak to her because she wasn't "following the curriculum" if you ask me, Destini actually put into consideration on what my son could grasp & used it to build up his confidence & skills at HIS OWN PACE. My five-year old has been coming here for over six months now. The facilities are always clean and well kept. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My son is learning to swim and loves his weekly sessions. The price is in line with other places. I see some bad comments about the Management. I've only dealt with management over the phone and email. I recently requested to change my day and time to coincide with my son's new school schedule. I did this through email. Without delving into specifics, I can confirm that previous reviews highlighting unprofessional behavior are entirely accurate. I'm relieved we didn't proceed with the classes, as it spared me from experiencing such rudeness in person. While I understand that booking classes more than two weeks in advance might not be feasible, the owner seems to project past issues onto prospective students. Swimming lessons were mediocre at best. But the front office is ran ridiculously unprofessional. Kirsten is both rude and dismissive. I paid for four lessons up front, had to reschedule two. Speaking with her to reschedule was like pulling teeth. To the point where after two lessons I just decided to take the financial loss and stop pursuing a reschedule for the other two swim lessons. Upon letting the center know that I would not continue lessons, i received an email from Kirsten doing nothing but trying to displace blame. She then stated she would be removing my son from the program due to non payment instead of my family opting out due to lack of communication. My boy 3 loves going to little swimmers. He has been progressing nicely and is much more comfortable and his confidence regarding swimming in the pool is amazing. He enjoys how they push him a little to do more and i think its good for him. Kids need to be appropriately challenged by people other then their parents. Thats part of life. And he is rising to the challenge. I love watching him do his lessons. Sam and the other teachers do a great job. In regards to cost i think its a very good value. Actually i wish i would have done one on one just so he could have more teacher time, but those filled up after the pandemic ending! read more

We had a great experience at kittle swimmers. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. Payments and scheduling are stress free to deal with. Joel's instructor miss Danielle was great. She's was patient, encouraging, attentive and firm. Joel had a good make up lesson with Georgia as well. Just an all around great vibe and great people to be around. I just took my daughter of 11 months out of the school. The floors are slippery and slimy. They don't seem to clean or scrub them. I always use to almost fall but this last Tuesday I finally had the unfortunate accident of falling with my 11 month old in my arms and being 4 months pregnant. I was disappointed in the lack of care from the owner who seems to always personally call me to remind me to make a payment (until she just had me keep a card on file) but never seemed to call to see if I was ok. She stated that no one told her about it. I didn't tell her the day it happened because I left to the emergency room to check on my unborn child, daughter and myself.. but assumed the two instructors who witnessed it would mention it to her since she was in her office. I was very saddened to hear no one mentioned it. I could have had a miscarriage or have gotten really hurt and no one except a parent in the class seemed to care. I would have been ok with just being called to see if I was ok but unless it has to do with $$, the owner is uninterested in giving personal calls. When we cancelled our class she of course stated we are still responsible for the remainder payment of the classes. I actually ordered water shoes ASAP to prevent this from happening again there assuming I'd receive a call from her but it never happened. So I will be looking at another near by school. We have been going to little swimmers for a couple months now (missed a few sessions due to family scheduling). It's been awesome. We had lessons at a previous pool and it was nothing compared to Little Swimmers. The staff is kind and it's an easy process. The pricing is fair and the communication is great. After trying a few different pools and teachers, I have been so lucky to find miss kelly (McCabe) at little swimmers. She is a patient, firm and fun instructor at a fantastic aquatic center. There is a large pool for lessons where your child's lesson will be the ONLY thing happening in the pool. It is an indoor pool also which aids in a distraction free lesson. Important for my toddler. There is also a smaller pool for babies. The owner is easy to contact and has children if her own. I think this always makes a difference since she has gone through lessons with her own kids. Also they have s wheelchair lift, special needs classes and a giant playroom with clean toys. They are also going to be putting in a parents waiting room but you are free to watch your kids by the pool also. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Stay away from this place! Not only the pools are dirty because the filters are never working (saving electricity I guess) but also the owner of the place is mean, rude and never takes any concerns or complaints into the consideration instead she will make it your fault. Our makeup class turned into a disaster. During our first song we saw some black-brownish material floating around. So everyone got out from the pool, checked the diapers, all 3 babies who were in that class were clean, and the trainer told us that there is a poop and that it must've been from the previous class. So we were ended up with a canceled class. And since it wasn't the first time when the pool was dirty I wrote the email to the owner and asked her to make sure that the pools will be maintained better and checked prior to the class for poop/dirt contaminations, so we don't have to come over there with two little babies (I have twins) just to be sent back home after a 3-second class. Aaaaaand here comes her email... take a guess what did she write back to me? (to a client with two little babies, who were coming every week for a year). Without any apologies or concerns about that situation, she went straight to attacking me and the babies, saying that they pooped, that's why the water was dirty. Very convenient to blame little ones, right? But she didn't know the fact that we showed the diapers to the trainer and it was clean. After I told her about that, she decided not to give up, next email was about blaming the parents for that poop. I mean, really? We came to ALREADY dirty pool, and you want to make it our fault? There are cameras in that place, just check your video and figure out when and how did that happen. Don't just point on everyone without any proof or any knowledge about the whole situation. We ended up being kicked off from the facility. And when I asked to return money for the unused classes she wrote the email that this class was the last one paid and that we have used it. I am writing this review on May 5, after a phone call with Tilde, although I will not be posting it until my daughter is done with her swim lessons as I don't want any backlash. However, if it were not past the point where I could get a full refund, I would have pulled my daughter out of the school just because of this phone call. My daughter, 18 months old, had been attending Little Swimmers' "Parent and Me" classes on Sundays at 1:30. On Friday, May 3, she started taking one long midday nap instead of two spread out naps, meaning that this time would no longer work for us. I emailed Little Swimmers to let them know we could not do our Sunday lesson and to find out what other times Parent and Me lessons were available. Kirsten answered my email and gave me some available dates and times. I requested to reschedule this week's Sunday lesson to Thursday afternoon, and then for her next cycle of classes to be on Tuesdays. This is completely in line with the policy outlined on their website, which states, "We require at least 24 hours notice for an individual lesson cancellation, also in cases of illness. Please email office@littleswimmersconcord.com or call the main office at (925) 429-3244. Please leave a detailed message stating your little swimmer's name, as well as day/time of lesson being cancelled. If we are given less notice, we can not offer a make-up lesson. No credits are offered for a missed lesson. Make-up lessons can not be scheduled in your swimmer's regular lesson spot. It is not possible to reschedule a make-up lesson, so if you can't make it after all, it's lost." Again, it was Friday when I was having this email conversation with Kirsten, so there should have been no issue. However, Kirsten stopped answering my emails. On Saturday, I reached out again and got no response. So on Sunday morning, I decided to call the office. Tilde answered, and that's when things went off the rails. First Tilde told me that it was not possible to cancel my daughter's Sunday lesson and make it up on Thursday because then she would have gone a week without a lesson, and lessons must take place 4 consecutive weeks at a time. I pointed out that Sunday is the first day of the week, so if she rescheduled to Thursday, that would be the same week. Tilde was very condescending and rude, stating, "I don't know where you're from where Sunday is the first day of the week!" I pointed out that all calendars show Sunday as the first day of the week, and she countered with, "Well we consider it the last day of the week here." Fine, whatever, but (a) I can't be expected to know that if I'm not told, and (b) it doesn't matter. I told them over 24 hours in advance that I couldn't bring her on Sunday. Therefore I should be entitled to a makeup. Tilde was obviously very agitated with me and kept saying that this was against policy because my daughter would have gone over 7 days without a lesson. This just doesn't make sense. Literally anyone who cancels a day or two in advance (which is acceptable according to their stated policy) and has to reschedule for later in the week will have gone more than 7 days without a lesson. She also told me that I should have arranged for my daughter to have gone to the class this past Thursday, so basically I should have been psychic and canceled the lesson and rescheduled it for the day before I knew there was a need to do so. Does she say this to people whose kids get sick?! People, Tilde argued with me for over 10 minutes. She kept saying she wouldn't be getting tuition for a week because she couldn't schedule someone in my daughter's spot on Sunday. How is that my fault? I told them on Friday that she wouldn't be there on Sunday! Tilde then said that "it wasn't confirmed" but again, it is NOT MY FAULT that you guys just stopped answering your emails! The policy I quoted above also says to email or call and leave a detailed message; it does not say anything about them having to confirm it. Honestly, I tried to be nice (which was difficult with my husband fuming off to the side, listening to how rudely his wife was being spoken to). I repeatedly said that I understood how difficult and frustrating it can be to work with parents, as I am a teacher. I said I appreciated how hard she worked. But I was not going to give up, even though she kept saying, "It's just $25." (Umm, if it's "just" $25, why are you freaking out about it?) Tilde also kept saying, "We gave you a credit for Easter," as if that was a favor or something. They literally sent out an email on Friday saying that they were going to be closed on Easter Sunday; how could you NOT credit me for a missed lesson when you're the one who decided to cancel? She finally backed down and said she would do it "just this once" (good to know you're willing to follow your own policy "just this once") and I thanked her profusely. She then continued to berate me for arguing with her and "making assumptions" about their policies. Not worth it. read more

My 4 year old daughter asked to take swim lessons so we signed her up here. During her first lesson, my daughter was let go by the instructor in the water and she went under (mind you she cannot swim). The instructor also kept forcing my daughter to put her head back in the water while floating on her back even after she told her no. My daughter exited the pool crying because she was so scared at what had happened. When I went into the office to discuss this they said that on the first lesson they "push" the child to find their "comfort zone." This to me is not pushing them but rather scaring them. This is something that I feel should be told to the parent before the lesson. My daughter is now traumatized from this. read more

We go to the Parent & Baby classes. The instructors are friendly and manage the class time well and adapt depending on how many babies are in the class that day. It's also so easy to reschedule a makeup class if you'll be away one week. My babe loves the classes! I knocked off one star because there are stairs up to the pools, which I'm not totally a fan of. Not sure why it was built that way. I'm always extra careful on the steps. Not sure if they are handicap friendly (maybe they have a set up, no idea, but it doesn't look like it from what I've seen). It's a salt water pool apparently and my baby isn't bothered by the water in his eyes. It's the closest swimming place to us and teachers have been good. We started bringing our now 5 year old to Little Swimmers about 3 1/2 years ago and our now 2 year old daughter a little over a year ago. We absolutely love it here, the kids adore their instructors. In particular our daughter, she looooves her instructor she can't wait to see her each week. They are both now pool safe which was my biggest concern and why we started swim lessons in the first place. I've recommended little swimmers to multiple friends for a few different reasons. One being they have two indoor pools that are nice and warm, no having to worry about shivering kids while they are in the water. The little pool only has 2 kids to a lesson at a time which is amazing, there are no distractions so my daughter really makes use of her 30 minute lesson. Having only the one lesson at a time in the pool is just priceless because you can hear everything and it's not chaotic like other places we've looked at. The larger pool where my son now swims will have another lesson going on but it's not crowded and still only 2 kids to 1 instructor. They get so much one on one time. Finally, my absolute favorite part about little swimmers is that the instructors are responsible and reliable. My kids aren't stuck with people they don't know each week, they've built trust and friendships with their instructors and that is a HUGE part in why they've become so comfortable and safe in the water. Really nice facility, convenient location, EXCELLENT instructors and really helpful office staff. Perfect venue for nearly private lessons. We had a "family emergency" when we realized that our giant trip to Hawaii was only a few weeks away and my kids didn't know how to swim yet. (Best emergency ever, right? But bad planning on my part!) Little Swimmers worked with us to get both kids water-safe in time for us to be able to relax and enjoy our vacation TOGETHER. In about 8 weeks, my kids went from all-out fear of the water to swimming back and forth the length of the entire pool unassisted. Amazing. Now that our trip is almost over, we fully intend to resume our lessons to get them ready for swim team next spring, AND I'm enrolling the 18-month old in their mommy and me lessons immediately! I have been with little swimmers for a little over a year. We came here after a good experience at a different swim school but wanted a change. My now 6 year old has consistently had an extremely positive experience! The small class size (maximum two kids), kind and enthusiastic teachers, and tons of positive encouragement have led to my child being somewhat reluctant to put her head under water, to begging to dive for rings and wanting to show off her newly acquired freestyle. The salt water does not burn her eyes or irritate her skin and Tilde keeps the water and a deliciously warm temperature so my daughter never protests getting in the pool! read more

They do not know how to talk to people at all. They are rude and condescending -- good luck if you ever have a question about your bill. I do not recommend this place. My son was going there and after almost 3 months they decided to change his teacher without telling us anything. One day we came for class and there was other student to take my son's place and his teacher told me that we are going to be with someone else without any explanation. My son wasn't happy about it because he got used his old teacher. The new instructor was awful. She didn't take any time to get to know my son. She didn't even read his progress shit. She continued putting my son's head under the water without his agreement and any notice. I told her that we are still working on it and that he is afraid of keeping his head under water and I pointed on the progress shit. It didn't change anything. She put him on step and started giving him a speech " why you come here if you are afraid of putting your head under water?", " how do you think that you going to learn how to swim without putting your head under water?" , " why you scared ?" Etc . My son is 3 YEARS OLD!!!! After that she continued to putting his head again under water without his agreement . My son was so stressed and crying that I had to pull him out of the water and this abuse. We went to the office but of course I didn't get any answer of why my son was moved to a different teacher . They said they will call me but never did . They also told me that I have to pay 60$ for 2 more weeks even though my son will not attend them!!! I've been taking my children to this facility for quite a while and was quite pleased with them until this past week. We had to switch days so my children got knew instructors. I wasn't to impressed with my sons new instructors attitude, but decided to let it go and give her a chance. Then at this last session at the end of the lesson during play time the instructor just left the pool! She didn't say anything to the other instructors nor myself, she just left. After a minute or so my daughters instructor noticed that she wasn't coming back and swam over with my daughter so that my son wouldn't be alone. I asked what was going on and my daughters instructor was just as confused as me. I was very angry and decided to call the office after I had time to compose myself instead of charging into the office yelling at them. When I called I was told the director would call me back. That was just on a Tuesday. By Friday (today) I called again and was told I would get a call back. About 10 minutes later I get an email by the director (Kristen) that the instructor left to use the bathroom and told the other instructors and didn't understand why I was contacting her about this. I could not believe how rude and condescending her email was and replied that I wanted her to call me immediately. She called me back and was just as rude on the phone as she was in her email. I advised her that the instructor didn't not inform anyone that she was leaving the pool and asked if she had talked to the other instructors that were in the pool. She said she had not because she didn't want to accuse the instructor of lying. Kristen seems to not really want to find out the truth as to what happened. In a rude and condescending manor she asked me what I would like her to do about it. I doubt she took in to consideration anything I had to say. I finally told her that I wanted to cancel my children's lessons, which she didn't seem to care to much that because of this whole debacle we were now canceling our lessons. What I took away from this is that the office staff does not seem to care about the safety of the students and will do appsolutley nothing if you have a concern or a complaint. The only reason why I gave this place two stars is because the other instructors that my children had were kind and decent instructors. read more

I have to say I am thoroughly disappointed with the customer service and follow through of this swimming school. I scheduled an assessment with the school for a Saturday morning (March 30th). When we arrived it was total chaos, no one in the reception area, we had to stop an employee who walked by us three times in the reception area and did not even acknowledge us standing there; once we told her why we were there, she told is where to go. We then proceeded to the assessment, which seemed to go fine. When the assessment was complete we were told by the teacher that we would be contacted by the front office for results/next steps to get our son scheduled for lessons. Monday came and went; I called the office on Tuesday and was informed by the woman who answered the phone that the reason we didn't receive a call back was because we supposed to fill out a waiver; you can imagine my annoyance! She then told me that she would follow up with the teacher who did the assessment and call me back to schedule the lessons...needless to say three weeks later and I am STILL awaiting that call! She personally came to watch our lesson and helped give the teacher feedback as well as calmed my nerves. Now my daughter is on their level 4 and is beginning to learn side breathing and backstroke. They were wonderful and Kirsten was very accommodating with changing swim times and scheduling make-ups. The Owner can be a little blunt at times and often unapproachable but overall I haven't had any issues with her. I'm very surprised to see all these negative reviews about them! I see a lot of bad reviews regarding make-ups/refunds, which have all been stated in their policies that you have to sign prior to registering. Little swimmers had one great teacher who we had the pleasure of working with, until she "unexpectedly" quit with no notice. The other teachers that subbed on days she was not there and the one class we took as make up, were less than stellar. If i had taken an introduction class with any of the other instructors, i would have never come back to little swimmers. It is unfortunate that Amber quit. But it is even more unfortunate that their other instructors have lack of knowledge, enthusiasm and/or willingness to better engage with the parents of small children in their classes. The management/owners are not approachable and when it came to an issue with the pool for babies not being heated, because a fuse blew, and they knew about it in the morning but failed to post a notice on the door stating the pool was cool please take the class at your own risk, or offer a refund/credit for the one class, they treated it as if they were unaware but somehow had someone working on it. A professionally ran pool checks the temps and chlorine levels daily to ensure the pools are in safe working conditions for their customers. Needless to say, as soon as we were given notice that our instructor had quit and they were working on a solution for her classes, we canceled our lessons. When we cancelled, they weren't polite and never thanked us for our business. Just said the lessons are cancelled and your card has been removed from our system. We will not be back for lessons here. read more

My daughter did not have a good experience here. I felt like their way of teaching swim lessons was sloppy and had no structure to it. It seemed like they did something different each time. We were here for 4 months and my daughter did not advance. After putting in our notice, we were still being charged two months later for swim lessons and I had to call them each time to get reimbursed the $120. Their lessons are sloppy as well as their book keeping. Also the facility seems very dirty and unkept. Pool is very cold and my daughter was shivering the whole class time. We LOVE this swim school. Our instructor is excellent with our toddler as she's very effective, fun, friendly and gracefully firm. She has incredible patience too and can read children very well so that she knows when they need to keep trying, when they need a few minutes of a break, or when they need a few minutes of play time to gather themselves. More importantly, our toddler loves her instructor and asks to go see her daily even though swim lesson are once a week. At home, our toddler will pretend to be the swim teacher with her dolls in the bathtub and it's very sweet to see her reenact her swim lessons and pretend to be the teacher by saying "good job! I'm proud of you! You did it! Kick kick kick!" which shows me the type of positive interaction our instructor has with our child in class. We've been in class for a year and we are very happy with the progress our toddler has made with her comfort in the water, her ability to kick, float, turn on her back, etc. This is definitely our swim school of choice! read more
