Horrible. Terrible customer service and the actions by the owner were appalling. As soon as I walked in this place I got a strange feeling but little did I know...I ordered, paid $30 and was informed it would take 20 minutes to make three cold sandwiches. 20 minutes? So I walked over to the plant nursery next door. About 10 minutes later the cook handed my son the bag of food and then a few minutes later came out to the car to argue with him over the bag of food he mistakenly just handed to him and then tried to open my wife's car door to take back the food. What an A-hole. Have some tact. My wife asked him to cancel our order and asked for our money back but the guy said 'no, your husband paid'. A-Hole. Food sucks here. Fantastic breakfast and lunch place. Drove by it for years but never went in because it didnt look like it would be good since it's a small older building. But wow it was delicious. Quality food and friendly service. Definitely a locals place. I would highly recommend it. Not very big inside but that's what made it feel homie. I ordered the chorizo and eggs with hashbrowns and it also came with biscuit and gravy. They were absolutely delicious. Going back for sure. read more

*** WARNING *** Ask for a cup and just try the tap water out of the soda machine. It's got a very "chemically" taste to it. If that water is being used to also cook the food, I would eat there with caution. When water has a chemical taste like that, I tend to steer clear of places like that. read more

Found this little hole in the wall on our way through to Antelope Valley from the high desert. We wanted to eat at a local diner and looked through Yelp with high reviews. Although they only had under 100 4-5 star reviews (I usually don't try if under a hundred reviews) we figured why not? We are out in the middle of no where, not a lot of options. So glad we did! It is a family owned and operated restaurant. Not the classiest inside, but totally worth stopping to eat at. The locals agree, because the restaurant was somewhat empty, but a steady stream of take out bags, and some of the locals seemed like regulars. The burger was huge and tasted amazing! We took two pizza's home to our perspective families and it was absolutely perfect, just the way I like it! The crust was not too thick and not too doughy. Nice crunch, but not too hard. The cheese amount was perfect too. Mashed potatoes on my boyfriend's plate were homemade. We enjoyed so much, that we are considering the hour drive for future weekend outings sightseeing around the countryside. On route 138 ..Don't blink or you'll miss a great meal for a very low price! We stopped here last year for breakfast which we remembered was huge and delicious. Decided to try a late lunch/early dinner. We both had the BBQ half chicken with their own special BBQ sauce. It came with a great salad, corn on the cob, a large portion of hand cut, home made french fries and a huge slab of garlic bread made with real garlic and butter! All this for $10.95!! This meal would cost at least $18.00 any place else! If you're anywhere in the Palmdale area drive just a few minutes south and stop in at this fine restaurant. Wanted to try some place new and I picked this place. It's doesn't look very aesthetically pleasing from the outside, the inside is clean and it appears to have the original tables and chairs. It could use a little face lift. The staff was very nice and the strawberry milk shake was AMAZING!!!! I have to say it was the best I have had in decades. I'm full and ready for my car nap! I never in a million years would have stopped in this little cafe, if it wasn't for fellow yelpers. It sits on the corner of the main highway and was the perfect stop on our way out of the desert. The coffee was really good. ... it didn't taste bitter like some places. I had the short stack, which was two large pancakes and a side of bacon. Both were outstanding. The bacon was freshly cooked... and it was thick and crisp! My husband had the chorizo omlette with home fries and said it was great. He said the chorizo had a good kick to it! The service was friendly and responsive. Lol but I've always driven past these place and never thought twice till me and my brothers were out Jeeping all morning and they suggested this place, I was skeptical but figured why not. Ok SO ! I'm stuffed ! I got a pastrami sandwich with fries with husband got the Cheese burger and fries and we split a pepperoni pizza ! My pastrami was BOMB , the pastrami was fried , I have never had it like that before and bless them for making that way. I tasted my husband cheese burger and it was good , I myself didn't like the pizza but my husband loved it , he said it was the pizza he used to get in Chicago. My husband and I were hesitant to pull in because it's just a hole in the wall restaurant that's pretty run down. We almost left but I am so glad we didn't! We both ordered the BBQ tri-tip sandwich and it was the best tri-tip sandwich we've ever had and the fries were equally as great! Service was a little slow because it's family operated and it was a busy time but everyone was really friendly.
