Looks can be deceiving! I love discovering new places along the road. With two littles (3 and 6m) we are always worried about a stop being more trouble than it's worth. The food was great!! My husband ordered the Mushroom and chicken Alfredo, I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries, and the little had a hotdog and fries. We also enjoyed a chocolate milkshake while we waited for our meal. Which came out within 15-20 mins. The bathroom was clean!! I was even able to pump while the food cooked so that was extremely helpful on a long road trip! And although we arrived (4:25) close to closing (5pm) the nice gentleman working (alone) on the day after Christmas served us with a smile. I hope he is truly valued by his employer for everything he does for that business! Needless to say we will alter our usual route to include stopping here from now on. read more

This cute country diner is located in Littlerock, California. They offer table side, booth, and counter seating to their patrons. We were greeted with friendly service. I noticed that the restaurant had a steady stream of diners coming in. Some were locals who greeted the servers by their names, and others were patrons that were passing through like us. Husband ordered the double cheese burger and fries. The burger was huge. No way could he finish it. I ordered the chicken salad, and it too was very generous. The burger was absolutely delicious as were the fries that came with it. What impressed me the most was the chicken salad. I've had plenty of chicken salads in a lot of places, but this salad stood out among the best. The chicken was not dry, which tends to happen when it's over cooked. In fact, it was downright tender and flavorful, seasoned to perfection! I didn't have to smother it in Ranch dressing for it to taste good either. The cook nailed it with the seasoning. All of the greens were fresh and tasty as well. I have an appreciation for little restaurant stops such as Littlerock Grill. They make our travels all the more interesting. Sadly, like just about every other restaurant in the AV, they do not BLANCH their fries before dumping them in hot oil, so if you like your fries CRISP you will need to look elsewhere. If you place your order when they are not dealing with a crush of customers they usually are very accommodating about substitutions and the like. read more
