This takes up unnecessary room in the play area and I wish these people would move their socialization/working to the cafe area.

I was pleased to be able to leave the project there, partially finished, rather than rush through the project during the workshop. When going back to complete a workshop project, you do not have to pay a studio fee since that was worked into the initial price. I was able to go and finish gluing my project, using as much of the tiles/stained glass/porcelain as I wanted. I then took home my project as well as grout and a small kit containing a cloth, cuts of newspaper, and a few others things to grout at home, although I could have returned to the studio a third time to do that there if I wanted. Many members of my family go as well and have all expressed the same gratitude for the opportunity to create something new in a comfortable place at our own pace. Project prices (walk-in or workshop) aren't cheap but neither are the materials they provide. Everything I've made there has held up well and they rotate available projects. If you're unsure about project costs or studio fees, ask them before you start. They can recommend projects within your budget and explain the studio fee. They're not out to price gouge, running an art studio with quality materials and trained staff isn't cheap. I typically spend $70 per mosaic project/workshop, if you're looking for a rough estimate. They also sell cute kits for small mosaic projects to do at home, which make a great gift. I highly recommend checking out Yucandu. (thanks Yucandu team!)

We had a free hour studio session and a $45 gift card and after only spending thirty minutes here we still owed $53, we only painted. If you do ceramic, mosaic or anything else it's a lot more. It is very pricey for heads up. The kids really enjoyed it! They have a cool artwork displayed sadly you can not purchase it. Which is a bummer! I recommend doing this at least once with your kids!

I asked my companion if we could stop there. They thought I was kidding. I was not kidding. My companion refused to go in with me because there was no small child with us. I am not going to let fear of being perceived as unconventional stop me from locating Down the Clown and other games I enjoy playing. The employee at the front said plenty of adults come to Chuck E Cheese w/o kids. See? I'm just one of my generation. I didn't stay or play anything. Now I don't remember whether or not Down the Clown was there. I know the animatronics are long gone and I've made peace with it. I very much hope to come back sometime... or maybe I'll just play games at the arcade at Ronnie's down the road.

The game selection is great and clean with a nice variety for all kids under 10. The added trampoline area is a hit with the kids but it's an extra $10 per child so the day can get expensive quick. The staff keeps the area locked keeping out those who haven't paid which can be a bit frustrating when you still have to track someone down every time your kid wants back in. Don't go expecting to score giant prizes, ticket payouts are low and prizes are lackluster. If you need to burn energy and embrace a little madness, the kids will have a blast.

Also, it's very open and I can see all parts of the park so even thought it's not fenced, it just feels safe. The kids love that part of it is a tree that you climb inside. Bathrooms are close so great for potty training toddlers who have to go RIGHT NOW. There are 4 picnic tables in the pavilion, 2 drinking fountains and some sunshades with benches. We had our kids' birthday party there and it went extremely well. Super affordable to rent! The only downside is one parking lot is a flat trek to the playground but a longer one and the other parking lot is fairly close but you have to walk down a big hill and so then also back up. So anyone who is more limited with ambulation or someone who fatigues very quickly may not find this playground particularly accessible. Otherwise it is a super fun and simple playground!

Oak Tree Park pavilion is available to rent through the Brentwood Park system. It's pretty cheap ($60 for non-residents, $40 for residents). There are four picnic benches under the shelter, where the bathrooms are also located.

I had never been to BAB for a birthday.. and apparently there's ONE birthday bear you can get for the price of your child's birthday ($2 for second birthday, $3 for third birthday, etc.) I had no idea. We stupidly assumed that when the girl said to us after we told her we were there for his birthday "oh great THESEEE are the ones you can choose from" *showing us a row of animals* that those were the birthday animals. I let my son pick out 2 because she said they were "buy one get one with the red sticker for $15." My son made the dogs he picked and we by-passed all of the ridiculous things they try to upsell you. We get to the checkout and the girl says it's $60. Now I have zero problem paying this amount IF we didn't make it clear that we were there for my son's birthday. She then said (in a super condescending tone) that we had to specially ASK for that certain bear and birthday special. Like how am I supposed to know that? She 100% knew what she was doing and upsold us because we didn't know what the "birthday special" meant. Super shady.

Not person who spoke with us was the one who rang us in. You bus your own table and drop it off at a station near the door. Good place to take kids and let them enjoy, but food isn't good and salad bar options were limited and odd. Quartered tomatoes and green olive slices but no cucumber? All sauces and dressings tasted watered down. Pasta looked dried out. The pizza was about what you should expect for kids. All a little undercooked and doughy. For about $10 each, I'd save the money and order pizza for pickup somewhere. Looks like they have added some arcade machines and are going for a little chucky cheese style place now.

Considering each adult is literally 10$ you can't hold your expectations too high, however, we were very impressed with the service at this location. Sure the quality of the food is standard for a CiCi but whoever is in charge has helped run this restaurant with well intent and taught the workers well. They kept the salad and pizza bar very well stock and most importantly clean! I noticed after every time a customer made a mess the workers without hesitation and without grumbling cleaned up the buffet and made it presentable. Plus the restaurant itself was well kept. It was a bit outdated but I'd choose cleanliness over updated and not as clean any day! For 10$ a person this deal seemed well worth it.
