The document itself was legal sized and thereby impossible for me to scan or print on my home printer -- and so easily accomplished here. And ... for a very low cost. I can see them in the drawer -- hundreds, by my count, stacked like a monument to convenience. I was rationed three. Three pouches for ten boxes. The math does not work, and neither, apparently, does the logic. No explanation was offered. No alternative was suggested. I was simply sent on my way with a third of what I needed and a full measure of bewilderment, left to wonder whether the pouches were being saved for some more deserving customer, or perhaps for a museum exhibit on Things That Were Right There. So I did what any reasonable person would do: I drove to a another UPS Store on San Pablo, where a staff member handed over the pouches without ceremony, drama, or apparent fear of depleting the national reserve. My boxes shipped. The crisis, such as it was, resolved itself the moment I left this location. I don't ask for much from a shipping store. I ask that it let me ship things. This one couldn't clear that bar -- not for lack of supplies, but for lack of willingness to part with them. Go down the road. They have pouches too, and they'll actually give them to you.
