LIU LOQUM ATELIER Turkish dessert shop  Sour cherry turkish delight ? TAKE MY MONEY!! So good!!! I tried every flavor in the box and can confirm this is the best I've ever had !!! Perfect for chewy dessert lovers! Not overly sweet, surprisingly more fruity and flavorful aromatic than sweet. Being in the shop is such a pleasant experience and the desserts are such a visual treat too -the sour cherry, pistachio, lemon , rose ARE ALL AMAZING ! 10/10! Super unique shop ! I wish they had this in America Service was good , owner very friendly! Chill elegant ambiance. -follow me for more foodie posts :) -living with luci :)

The space was really nicely decorated with a really authentic feel. The service was quick and patrons buy their food at the front counter where you can see all the food/dessert options. The baklava had a more middle eastern flair over the Greek/european style and taste. Great place for a more unique experience in a trendy part of Toronto!

We stumbled upon this cafe while walking around the neighborhood on a Saturday at around 1. We just finished lunch and needed a little pick me up, and the drinks sounded pretty good, so we decided to pop in for a to-go drink. Inside, the space is very chic and clean. They have these beautiful looking pastries and Turkish sweets on display, and everything looks so extravagant. We skipped the sweets and went with a passion/strawberry/peach fizzy, and an iced pistachio latte. The drinks were really good. FYI - any flavored coffee is a shot of syrup for an extra 50 cents. But prices are pretty comparable to those of Starbuck's so if I had the choice, I would pick this cafe. Great local place for a coffee. They also have seating if you want to enjoy your drink there.

Cosy Turkish cafe with Turkish desserts, coffee and tea. Service is a bit strange - orders are at the counter, some things are delivered to the table, others you take yourself. Great place to go on a fall/winter evening; although seating is limited.

July 29/2023: What a delightful experience. The store was new, clean & VERY well cared for. Fantastic selection of Turkish Desserts & coffees. The baklava that I had was without a doubt the BEST one I've ever had. The owner himself looked after us. He was knowledgeable & polite with a perpetual smile on his face. I wish them loads of success!

The Gentlemen working there was very nice and explained everything to us. But I'll Beyonce was beautiful. I loved it was decorated and how it was laid out. They had such a huge selection of baklava in so many flavours I've never heard of, and really need to see all the different experiments they were doing. The baklava was fantastic. The honey they use was out of this world. I can't wait to go back. I love that you can also get just a mixer box so you can bring it to a party or friends house as a gift.

Delicious treats and very friendly staff. There are other spots in the city with similar offerings and some better prices but I like the vibes here. Lots of seating and lots of flavours to choose from. Most had nuts in them but several options were available. I'm excited to try one of their coffee beverages

Stopped in to try some Turkish treats! Hard to choose because they have soooo many options that look delicious & too pretty to eat! I asked the friendly guy behind counter for his recommendations for the Turkish delights. He suggested, sour cherry with pistachio & the lemon one, so I went with those. I also opted for the cheese borek square (warmed up), and the Turkish coffee. Everything was delish! The borek square is quite a generous size & the cheese is firm & just salty enough! I opted for one of the traditional baklava bites (good amount of syrup) to accompany the Turkish coffee. The baklava is very sweet & paired well with the coffee. The coffee came with a nice biscuit as well, which reminded me of biscotti, not sure what it's called in Turkish, but that had a nice flavour as well. I opted for a bit of sugar in the coffee. Great flavour (was tempted to turn the cup over at the end to do my own Turkish coffee reading!). There are 3 tables by the window which are cozy, patio seating and another dining area up a few steps.

Tldr: selection of turkish delights, high ceilings with good aesthetics add in to the experience, and the people are paying great attention to their customers. I super love the pistachio croissant! I think this is fairly new in the neighbourhood so I knew I had to try. After a long hiatus and looong vacation out of Toronto, this was my first breakfast out so, I'm pretty happy about it! Pistachio croissant is super good! I love the pistachio butter cream filling which is fairly sweet but pairs well with my turkish coffee.

Beautiful cafe with its pristine interiors, two-level seating and calm vibe. Stopped by and got a few Turkish treats. A bit too sticky-gummy for me, but the strong and distinct flavours make them a delight. Can't wait to sit and have their coffee next time!

This new, drop-dead gorgeous cafe specializes in Turkish delight! Friends treated us with delicacies from here at a holiday gathering. When we saw the spacious corner shop with its huge windows and lovely set-up on two floors, we knew we had to visit in person to taste more scrumptious sweets - and pair them with Turkish coffee. There are a lot of different types to choose from, but someone instantly helped us and dove in with descriptions and helpful suggestions. We went for a plate with 5 choices of Turkish delight and a second plate with 3 pieces of baklava (which comes in from Turkey daily). Just a hint of the variety of ingredients that go into the different pieces - pistachio, raisin, fig, milk, hazelnut cream, blackberry, chocolate, pomegranate, fig, shredded wheat, coconut, honey... Everything was WOW. We loved each piece and the amazing range of tastes and textures. The baklava was incredibly moist - less flaky than other varieties I've had - mega nuts. One came in a roll shape with minimal pastry, mostly purely lovely finely chopped pistachio. For the Turkish coffee, you can choose your sweetness level (or no sugar). It comes with a small glass of mineral water. (Other coffees and tea are available as well.) That small hit of rich, thick, hot coffee is the ideal drink with these sweets. And everything looks beautiful, too - the plates, the cups, the decor. There are no prices or menus posted. The coffees were ~$4 each and the plates ~$10 each. Some customers were getting boxes to go. (We already know it's great at a dinner party.) There are 3 sizes and price is determined by weight, with S / M / L boxes amounting to around $12-15 / 25 / 50, depending on the selections. Looking forward to trying more here - what a super addition to the neighborhood!

Shared this box of 12 Turkish delights with some friends. I believe the selling point here is that they're gluten-free, and frankly I preferred them to normal ones I got elsewhere! Lovely elegant interior, nice location.

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! I got the Avalanche (Skor,Cheesecake, and Caramel) and I loved that they stretched the dough when we ordered and then start frying it right there. It really ensures that we get freshly fried Beaver Tails at the peak of their deliciousness. After I got mine slathered with the toppings I ordered, I dug in and as expected, it's really hot but SOOOOO good. It's like the concept of a donut only thinner and crispier, thus resulting in a much better texture and crunch throughout which I very much prefer over a donut actually. The cheesecake spread mingling with the sweet caramel, crunchy toffee bits, and crispy hot dough is just such a perfect combination. It's a bit of a mess to eat but sooooo worth it. It really is such a shame that there isn't an establishment like this in NYC because it could seriously do some REALLY good numbers over here I reckon. I HAVE to get this again when I come back up to Canada (unless ya'll want to build a place down across the border haha).

When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
