Enoch adjusted it for me and let me take it out for a test ride in the parking lot behind the shop. They didn't pressure me to buy it right away, and I ended up leaving overnight to think about it (and also try a Venge from fb marketplace). I asked if they (Wes and Enoch) could have a look at my 1970s vintage road bike, which needed some work. They said they weren't too busy at the moment and could have it fixed in 24 hours. I returned the next morning when they opened and purchased the Allez and picked up the old bike that they had fixed. I thought it was just a freewheel that needed to be replaced and possibly a new chain, but apparently the axle was broken and only pressure was holding it together -- I'm so happy this got found before a catastrophic failure while riding. My old commuter road bike rides so much better now. I highly recommend Enoch for any repairs. I took the Allez out for three weekend rides, one of which Strava informed me was my fastest 50 mile ride of all time, and the shifters are a HUGE upgrade over the friction shifters on the other bike for all the hills around here. Somehow I left my drivers license following the test ride with them accidentally and Wes called to let me know and offered to mail it to me if that was easier for me. He and Enoch also went above and beyond to help show me other accessories I asked about, a few of which I purchased but most of which I held off on but the knowledge was much appreciated, and Enoch also helped me take the front wheel off and get it loaded up in my car. (You know, the ones that don't wave when they pass another cyclist on the road. Yeah those guys.) But when you give the people the idea that you're a true cyclist and that you at least care about the subject material, they can be surprisingly quite helpful and friendly. The first time I came in here one clerk talked and talked about all the local area rides, races and such and you could tell he was a true lover of cycling. He was good for filling my friend and I in on whatever we needed to know. We aren't hardcore road cyclists but we build our own bikes and he was great with helping us find out about parts and accessories. Another time I came in to buy a freewheel cog and even though they didn't know exactly what I was looking for, they pulled down a box of unusual things and let me dig through it. Depending on what you get the prices can be okay, but generally speaking, and as it is a TREK store, the prices are gonna be quite high even when compared to more modest (less flaunting) bike shops. So in terms of staff friendliness and helpfulness, this place definitely wins out.

He concluded that I needed a medium size hybrid but the bikes were wayyyyyy out my price range so we looked at a used bike also and it rode well but I rather keep Looking before I buy a used bike. The guy was helpful once he acknowledged us but Trek bicycle is has hefty price tags for bikes so be aware, they also repair bikes so that's good to know.

She was prompt and concise and took alot of pride and payed close attention to me as I walked and move around the bike and on the bike. She is very knowledgeable about your anatomy and how it works with your bike. She looked at my shoes'. cleats position and condition, and my feet. She asked alot of questions off and on the bike as to my feel. Any adjustment was followed by questions. She studies the rider. She uses technology only for a baseline or to provide measurements and used her knowledge of body mechanics and physiology to make changes to the bike. Now the part I loved the best, she also knows the ME parts that need to change: Healing, flexibility and strength wise to get me where I want to be. She just didnt fit the bike to where I am comfortable but yet somewhere in the middle of where I want to be and what I can tolerate with my present fitness and flexibility level.
