My first experience with Blood Sweat Gears was taking advantage of a Groupon for a basic bicycle tune up- brakes and gear adjustments for only $10. You really couldn't beat it and my mountain bike was in dire need of a tune. The gears would always slip while riding, I suppose the cables were original and just getting worn/ stretched out. In any case, one of the best decisions to buy the Groupon. The service was outstanding, and the final product was a big improvement on my rides. These guys definitely know a thing or two about bikes so you can feel at ease. I will definitely be bringing the bike back here for additional work if needed. Came to BSG for help getting a pedal removed from my bike. They didn't even want to charge me the normal charge because I didn't ask them to put my other pedal on. They also fixed the presta valves that I thought were beyond repair. They didn't even charge for that. Overall, very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. I've only been in the store two times. The first time I was looking at a new bike and they let me test ride the bike and told me all about it before I made any sort of buying decision. This was very helpful because I was looking at a specialty bike and they informed me rather than try to sell me on the product. The second time I went in to BSG was to get a new tire and tube for my current mountain bike. Instead of trying to sell me a $60 tire that I didn't need for my casual rider, the owner said "hold on one second" and went in to the back. He then returned with two slightly used tires and said, this is probably all you need if you don't mind a secondhand pair. I said great, how much? How does $10 a tire sound to you? SOLD!!! These two experiences will continue to have me return as a customer. They truly value customer service!!! read more

When I went to the store to get my gear shifter fixed, a young man named Cameron analyzed the bike and recommended a lubricant. He patiently took care of another customer purchasing a bicycle but he multi-tasked. When he told me to test ride it after a few minutes I was amazed it work. Most importantly he was gracious for not wanting to even charge me for materials or labor. In this pandemic time, I was impressed by the Grace this small business has extended. I found they have extensive knowledge of bicycles and parts, as well as, a drive for branching out to the younger generations with extreme sports gear. I have bought two new bicycles from them and found all the factory components were still there. All in all, a great bike shop! read more
