This place is ok, lacks customer service and some mechanical issues are better handled by other shops.

I recently purchased a new Pinarello from Jim and the crew at The Right Gear, and the entire experience was perfect.

Both times they have been efficient with the repair, giving me very little wait time. They also carry a decent selection of bikes and cycling accessories. The staff are not overly friendly/chatty, but are knowledgeable about the products they carry and politely willing to help /answer questions. Considering that I blow my bike tire frequently, I certainly plan to visit again and recommend them

I called them one afternoon and spoke with Tim who told me to bring the bikes in. I arrived 30 minutes later and Tim greeted me with a hearty welcome and introduced me to Jacob the bike mechanic who checked the bikes in for a level one tuneup. Three were different types of tuneups that your bike can get; a level one starts at $80 and that includes checking the gears, tightening the chains, adjusting the brakes, checking the inter-tubes and tires and filling them with air if needed, and washing the bike. Level two and three encompasses a level one plus more. The bikes were supposed to take a few days, but Jacob got them done the next day. This is a great local bike shop, not only are they quick with the repairs but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is clean, and fully stocked with a large selection of bikes, helmets and accessories. Oh yes and they do offer a 10% discount to Police, FD, paramedics, and Military. Cabarrus Cycling highly recommended!

The place was actually hard to find despite the super clear google maps directions. I blame the odd…read moresignage (one shirted dummy, seated; words at the top of a window which are largely covered by an awning; text atop that awning with a different name on it!) as I definitely saw and identified the location to the left and the two boutiques to the right as I ride right past this main event. I literally thought this place was a vintage shop based on the branding I could see and the TIKI STATUE in the main window display. The location itself was neat and clean, and totally packed. I was impressed with all of the inventory they had. That said, I didn't know what some of it was and I couldn't tell what a lot of it cost. Clarity of labeling is important to keep things from feeling like clutter and to allow customers to help themselves. Also, I just didn't really feel the love which tells me that at this location customers do have to help themselves. I came by to see what the place was all about and what kind of services were offered but didn't really find that out. Did speak with someone who appeared to be working and it looked like there was a huge shop area in the back but I didn't really get a sense for what was going on, what was available, who would be helping me/my new baby girl (haven't named her, yet), etc. I'll definitely check them out again if/when I've got something specific going on, but this visit felt pretty average. If you're going to help me with my wheels, I want to feel like you love her, too. Even if she's been around the block a time or two!

QueenCity Bicycles - On my bike, I totally could not see the sign or window text and passed this place by several blocks before I knew I had missed it!

QueenCity Bicycles - Nice customer leaving who held the door open for me and my bike even though he was handling a bike of his own.

QueenCity Bicycles - Weird biker dummy helmet head outside that somehow did not catch my eye as I rode right past him as the main location signage.
