Took my parents here for spring tea and it was lovely. The roses everywhere were so nice. The tea service itself was great. The NA drinks was delicious. There was only one savory bite that I was kinda not liking (like a mouthful of cold butter) but the rest were amazing. Get there early and walk around the property. It was beautifully decorated with a real honey bee hive conservation project. Valet is $15 after validation and there's no time limit so stay and enjoy the property. We walked around the property before the team party and we chose to walk around downtown afterwards the tea party afterwards. Such an upgrade from the old Four Seasons location. Great place to sit on the patio and enjoy lake views. This time of year with the Four Seasons's roses and rosé event the upstairs and downstairs patios were decorated beautifully with roses with many photo ops as well! Great service and it was very nice that they indicated with a dark stamp on our bill that the gratuity was included given we were a large party. I often don't notice when it is added in and double tip by accident. Cocktails are great and the food is pretty good as well, though pricey of course, because it is the Four Seasons, after all. Great hotel bar! Cozy ambiance with live music and an outdoor patio with a view of the lake. They serve food too. The burrata salad is amazing (same one served downstairs at Ciclo) and I love their fried apple pie. There is a hammock, corn hole, and day beds outside on lake level. The bartenders are attentive. Funny story: the first time I was here, a man at the bar who appeared overserved, asked my bf and I if we were going to get married. We ignored him and didn't pay him any more attention. We sought out a place under cover, due to rain, to possibly see the bats emerge from the Congress St bridge. The view of sunset was nice, but we were unlikely to see many bats unless they got really high as there are trees along the river and adjacent walking trail. They went low and the other way on this night, but that isn't Live Oak's fault. We ordered cocktails and some light eats. Both were fine but this is in the Four Seasons, so way overpriced for what we got. Not enough protein, too much pretty filler in the dishes. Portion size disproportionate to price. Pretty basic flavor in the cocktails. Our server was very friendly and shared that the bats had been pretty active that week. It has a very comfortable deck, there was live music inside that you don't hear outside, perfectly nice place to spend some time if you don't mind the prices. read more

Excellent brewery to visit. Especially when you're coming back from the airport and want to wait out traffic. The ambiance of their outdoor section is relaxing, getting to sit among the trees. The staff was very knowledgeable and were ready to give their expert opinions on what you should try next. Was able to snag one of their last size of the Oktoberfest. read more

From the airport straight to food! I was starving and selected the first thing that caught my attention. The service was on par. We were seated near the glass windows overlooking the outdoor scenery. The lobster rolls were amazing and so was my drink. My hubby said the burger was on point as well as the truffle fries. Look out Garbos! Live Oak has mini Maine lobstah rolls on their new menu and they are delish. And at 36 dollars for THREE mini rolls, I think they're an even better deal than Garbos 36$ regular sized roll. If you're down town and you're thinking you need a lobster roll for lunch, you're right! Go check out the renovation of Live Oak, have a glass of Rose on their gorgeous patio, and treat yourself to some lobster rolls, because life is short, lobster is delicious. Went to the tea experience at the live oak bar and it was pretty disappointing. Mediocre food for the price. Desserts weren't baked well - the macaroons were tough to eat and not soft. I ordered a mocktail and received one with alcohol, I had a sip and realized immediately there was alcohol in it. read more

My Uncle took us out before he left town and this was hands down one of the better hotel bar lounge experiences in Austin. It's a far cry from the trendy places that are lacking in service. The outdoors is relaxing and peaceful, feeling like a resort escape in the middle of the city. The truffle fries actually taste like truffle and the cocktails are well made. If you choose to sit inside, they usually have live music and the singer we heard was excellent. The service is friendly and attentive. All in all, truly a five-star experience. read more

Amazing service! Our waiter had a great sense of humor and was very attentive to our table. We got the chicken tenders and jalapeno poppers and the swordfish dip and WOW! Why... Jayme that's why. The Four Season's exudes class and wealth. Yes, you will pay more for a Jameson or beer, but you won't get Jayme to take care of you along the way. On a sleepy Friday early afternoon, the Suz and I walked in and made our way to the bar area. We also came back on Saturday as well. We pulled up a little two top, away from the other tables and not outside since it was still a bit nippy. However, I would totally spend an afternoon on the patio, overlooking the lake and the city of Austin. When we were seated, I was kitted out in my usual Chelsea Kit and Jayme came by to take care of us. Immediately the wonderful banter started regarding being Chelsea and she Arsenal. However we shared, I guess not approved in Austin, the dislike of Austin FC. She was a semi-pro player with the Women's team in Austin, coming off an injury and we immediately connected. Suzie and I were just hanging out after a tad traumatic check in at the Marriott across the street. Jayme asked for the CC since we were not staying at the Four Season's, which was absolutely fine for us. We had a few drinks, hard to screw up a Jamo/Beer and Suzie enjoyed the Hendricks Martini. We very much enjoyed our ARTISAN CHEESE & CHARCUTERIE and DIPS & CHIPS from the menu. The bottom line, sure you could probably get some cocktails less expensive somewhere else. But, sitting around, watching all the wanna be wealthy folks with Botox and those ridiculous slipper things on, is entertaining at best! The new Crypto millionaires or the older dudes with their younger concubines in tow is worth it. The service tho, was totally on point. Jayme spent time to visit with us when she wasn't helping others and made sure our drinks were topped up and food was on point. Never stayed to long or barged in when we were in discussion. The view, being pampered by on point service brought us back the next afternoon with the in-laws.. where we actually saw a lady gloriously coiffed in truly the most amazing gold dress and her partner in a tuxedo for the wedding happening in the lower lawn. Live Oak is inside the four seasons hotel and it has a beautiful patio that overlooks the Colorado River. I went here on a Saturday night and was able to get in right away with no reservation. It has a laid back vibe and saw many people either dressing up or down. They feature tables, couches, and single chair seating. They had the patio heaters going as it was a little cooler night I just stopped in for a quick drink and snack got the dips and chips. Featuring two different hummus with a variety of vegetables and some crackers. I enjoyed both of the hummus but enjoyed the avocado one more. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Inside the Four Seasons hotel, It is the lobby bar/restaurant. We arrived around 8:30 PM for a quick bite to eat. Service is always impeccable as usual. Glass windows overlooking the lake. I wish the fire pit outside we're on because we would've sat outside. We ordered the hamburger. It was one of the best hamburgers we've ever had. Highly recommend it. The blueberry beer was also good, the waitress and the bartender can help you decide they really know their stuff! read more

First - we lived our servers. Zoe and Dalton were so lovely and attentive to our crew. Went out of their way to help a friend (who burned her hand just prior to coming), and had a smile the whole time. I currently live in Austin and have frequented many bars since arriving. People in the service industry here tend to be lacking in pretty much everything. With that being said... This place is incredible!! The bar tenders are super friendly and accommodating (esp Paul). Ok, so I gave this another chance despite being sad about the old bar. I still think it's bland in a contempory kind of way and needs some whimsy or something eclectic, but the outside is super and at least they've kept some of the "comfy couch and chair" look on the sides of the bar. read more
