Finally compeleted this epic adventure from my bucketlist!…read more I have always wanted to go on a hot air balloon so once a special occasion came up there was no better moment then now. HOWEVER safety and experience were my main goals when choosing a hot air balloon company. I had remembered a few years ago my coworker's son got married at letchworth and had a hot air balloon in the background of some of his photos! How sweet it would have been to be in those photos is beyond me. This is were I initially started thinking this would be awesome to go on some day. after doing research balloons over letchworth has 25 years of experience, no accidents, and they are caring and safe. Example: if there is chance of rain, wind above 10 mph, etc. you are not flying. They will reschedule. For me this was not the case. The day of you call 2 hours before your flight and see if its still on or not. The flight experience was peaceful and very relaxing. The highest wind speed our balloon caught was 4mph. The highest we went was 3100 feet above sea level. Amazing!!! We were up in the air for 58 minutes. How do I know all of these details? The pilot has equipment that records everything during the flight. During your flight if you have any questions just ask your pilot. Ours was Sean (as long as he's not trying to land since he has to concentrate). Sean was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. He truly would answer any question (even though he has probably heard it 2,000 times before) I can't remember the exact number of hot air balloon flights he has done but I think it's in the 2,000s. He also was very caring in that he wanted everyone to have fun and be comfortable. And safe! For those of you who are concerned about the cost, it's not everyday you go on a hot air balloon. I can understand why the flight is seems expensive, there's so much investment and time that goes into a flight. There is a chaser crew (who also puts the balloon together), not to mention the pilot and materials for the hot air balloon. The staff was extremely nice and professional. I tipped them for doing such a great job and helping us have such a great experience. Thanks Sean and Crew! Look forward to hopefully flying again someday!

This wasn't the first time I felt ripped off by G Adventures but this recent trip was so unpleasant…read moreit not only made me never want to use G Adventures again but also never to return to the country (Madagascar). G Adventures charged thousands of dollars for the trip and put us in basic (trying not to use the word crappy) accommodations. The ITC lodge in Ranohira we stayed at had no running water but somehow the toilet still leaked, cockroaches everywhere including on our towels, which we were told specifically that we weren't allowed to kill. When I showed my friends/family picture of this "hotel" bathroom, they said it looked like a prison. None of the places we stayed at had reliable running water, electricity, or Wi-Fi. We were covered in mud/dirt (likely mixed dried animal feces I'm sure) every day and unable to shower more often than not. With the living standard in Madagascar, hotels are very, very cheap compared to the rest of the world. Even so G Adventures chose to put us in the most basic facilities that would not even qualify as a hostel in most other countries. Furthermore, this trip included very few activities and almost everything is optional, which means you have to pay out of pocket. If you choose not to do the optional activities, you're left with nothing to do except for staying at the crappy "hotels" so you really don't have a choice. During the 15 day trip, only three meals TOTAL were included. So G Adventures charged us a large amount of money but provided us with next to nothing regarding lodging, food, or activities. Where did the money go? They're just scalping basically. The trip felt like a scam. I contacted their customer service beforehand to see which level of footwear is recommended for hiking during this trip and also if I should bring my own snorkeling gear. She reassured me that sneakers would be fine and if I brought my own gear, I could participate in snorkeling without having to pay extra again. Neither were true. I ended up falling in the muddy, slippery jungle, and had to get assistance because we were walking on steep rock surfaces (the type you need a rope to climb down with), and was charged for snorkeling anyway. This was my first trip with them after taking their Turkey trip last year when they dropped the price literally a couple days after I paid in full, then told me they wouldn't give me the price difference even in travel credit because price could change anytime. They really care about every single penny they can squeeze out of you rather than customer service, satisfaction, and retention. I know they spent a lot of money on advertising to make it seem like a nice tour company. Beware - that's where the money you're paying going toward, NOT the actual trip you'll be taking.

For all festivals in the city this year, Luminato, TIFF etc this period is the 'comeback year's for all ... So with that caveat, it was mildly interesting to walk around at night in a mall, without having the context of shopping see and feel the spaces anew.

This event is definitely all about the food, and it's huge. Definitely come hungry and enjoy Italian and Italian-American staples like pizza, sausages, meatballs, arancini, pasta, etc., as well as plenty of sweet desserts. With over fifty vendors this year, Hertel Avenue was transformed into a bustling, crowded marketplace. In my opinion, the atmosphere is rather intense. People are eating, drinking, socializing, and catching up with friends and family. The air around the festival is always heavy with the smell of smoke and frying onions and peppers. Believe me, lots and lots of grilled Italian sausages are floating around during this festival. Unfortunately, apart from tables near the main stage, which must be reserved in advance for a fee, there is nowhere to sit and eat comfortably. Lots of people are walking and eating or standing. I even saw someone use the top of the trash can as a table, yuck. As I mentioned, there's a main entertainment stage, if you like the Frankie Scinta vibe. The demonstration/cooking tent is a fun place to visit as well. The best way to plan for the special attractions is to simply check out the website. I think it's worth it. On the practical side, it's important to wear proper footwear. Because of the big crowd, I had to be extra careful not to get stepped on or have my toes run over by a baby stroller. It's wild. I guess that's the beauty of this festival. Fun fact: I ate my first raw clam many years ago at this festival while on vacation in the States :). Those were the days when carousels, rides, and similar attractions were still part of the event. It was probably more kids/family-friendly than it has been in recent years. Perhaps it will return someday.

It is always so good and since Campi's is too far to go just pick up a pizza and come home. I have to depend on the Italian heritage festival every year just to get my pizza. Angel is not located anywhere near here as far as I know so again I have to go to the festival just to get my good desserts. They had many other food stands, but I didn't try anything else out except for Romeo and Juliet's bakery. I know what I like so that's what I go for. You have got to try Campi's -White Pizza with the Greek olives on it. They have a few different kinds of white pizza, but the plain or one without all the veggies and without the artichokes and stuff is the really good one.. But they also have many selections of pizza to choose from

The park was vibrant and full of visitors. I was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the park, as well as clear signage and displays for all the attractions. The highlight to me was the new visitor center. I believe the last time I tried the visitor center was 2019 and upgrades have been made. It's so modernized and attractive. Many clean bathrooms to use, lots of interactive displays, a cafe, and gift shop. You can tell a lot of money went into improving this place. I also liked that there were so many public restrooms available throughout the park and seating options including picnic tables and benches. We also saw lovely hanging baskets throughout the park. Everything looked so good and well maintained. A great park for a day trip. Make sure to check out the maid of the mist at least once!

Don't let those little ponchos fool you. You are going to get soaked, and the roar of the water is incredible. The Visitor Center inside the park isn't nearly as impressive as the Discovery Center Welcome Center, but it offers clean restrooms, a refreshment stand, and an information desk. There are also plenty of fantastic photo opportunities throughout the park and along the viewing areas. The nightly fireworks display is spectacular, though it does get crowded. For wheelchair users, there is a fabulous, spacious ramp that provides easy access down to the viewing level. The check-in process was super simple and all of the staff was top notch. My girlfriend had a Tandem with "Jumping Jay" and he couldn't have been nicer. She also had Keenan as her videographer and some of the shots he got were insane. The energy and vibes these guys were putting out just show how passionate they are about this crazy hobby! The facilities were nice and the area to check-in had everything needed to stay hydrated on a hot day! Jumping in July/August can get HOT! The best way to cool off is the great all natural air conditioning to be had at 13,500 feet! The plane ride up was just as fun as the ride down due to that view. Apparently on a really clear day, the Toronto skyline is visible too! The runway and landing areas were nice and clearly marked and very well manicured. I wish I lived closer so I could Skydive the Falls more often, I can't get enough of that view!!! The plane tour of the Falls alone is worth the price, skydiving at the end is just that extra cherry on top. After being in a car for a 7 hour drive from LI to Niagara Falls, this was definitely the best detour/pit stop I've ever taken. May Skydive the Falls alway have Blue Skies!!!

If you are not up for a walk you can drive here and park at the nearby lot and it is a short walk. It's a beautiful view and no matter where you are on the walkway you will get a great shot of the falls. If you want to just sit and take it in, you can. On a nice warm day, the mist every so often off the falls feels good hitting your face while the sun is baking you. This can be as quick a visit as you want it to be. Or you can just sit hear all day and watch the hoards of tourist coming and going.

Great view of Niagara Falls!…read more Terrapin Point is the closest viewing of the falls from the USA without getting on the Maid of the Mist boat ride. If you haven't done the Maid of the Mist, I still think it is worth it BTW. The mist from the falls is so strong that you will get hit from it standing close to the edge. During busy times it can be hard to get a nice camera shot of the falls as everyone else is looking for the same shot. The sun is also pretty strong at times so getting a perfect shot is always difficult. Niagara Falls is indeed awe inspiring and I do try to stop by every time I'm nearby. With erosion and decay on the horizon, I'm hopeful that I'll still be able to enjoy this site for many years to come. As some others have noted, parking is anywhere from free with your National Park Pass, $10 or $15. I didn't take particular note of the difference between $10 and $15 but I think it depends on if you have a much larger vehicle like a RV.
