I found this place after doing a little bit of research, and I was not disappointed. The trail is a bit bumpy, unpaved, and difficult to go through. I personally love good trails and hikes, so it doesn't bother me. But i'll recommend wearing good running shoes with strong grip. As you're going through the trail, take it slow and easy so you don't slip on any unstable wood or rocks. You first go down a large staircase from the area I went through, then a 15 minute path. Once we reached the water, I was in awe. The water is bright blue, clean, the trees are as green as they can get, and the breeze is beautiful. The wind was blowing, which was refreshing after a sweaty trail walk. The views were unbelievable, including falls further away. I couldn't even believe it was in the Niagara area. If you're looking for a short trail and stunning views that transport you out of the city, this is the place to visit!! I will definitely be back and try different pathways :)

It was very easy to get to, parking wasn't more than a few bucks, and I had a lovely time. I didn't go on a tour or anything, I just explored by foot and navigating my way around was a breeze thanks to all of the signage and information everywhere. I visited one of the restrooms near the parking lot and it was rather clean for being a public bathroom in such a busy tourist area. The paths were paved and they had coin operated binoculars to use to get an even closer up view of Horseshoe Falls. While the view isn't as good as when you're on the Canadian side, it's still breathtaking. You're pretty much on top right as the water spills over and you can feel the energy of the water. I stood there in awe for a good 10 minutes enjoying the mist on my skin. It was a hot day so it was much appreciated. The sound is also so soothing. I could totally have picniced in the area and taken a short nap. I definitely suggest paying this spot a visit if you're out exploring.

If you are not up for a walk you can drive here and park at the nearby lot and it is a short walk. It's a beautiful view and no matter where you are on the walkway you will get a great shot of the falls. If you want to just sit and take it in, you can. On a nice warm day, the mist every so often off the falls feels good hitting your face while the sun is baking you. This can be as quick a visit as you want it to be. Or you can just sit hear all day and watch the hoards of tourist coming and going.

It was warm, starting to get dark, and lucky for us very dry (in the past it's been a little muddy so I always recommend boots to be safe). This year's theme for the corn maze was Niagara Falls! If it's your first time - I recommend bringing a flashlight, hoodie, and a few extra dollars for snacks/drinks. Also boots or good walking shoes that you won't mind if they get a little muddy. It was dry this time but in the past it has been a little muddy in spots. Before entering the maze, we stopped at the snack shop. They had cookies from a local bakery, popcorn, kettle corn, pop, coffee, water, and some food. We got the sea salt caramel chocolate cookies which were amazing!! All the prices were reasonable too! Then we went over to pet the animals! They had two cows, an alpaca , and two goats (one was a baby goat, so cute!). They also sold cups of feed for the animals ($1). To get through the entire maze took us about 45 minutes but that was with us basically moving the whole time and not coming across too many dead ends. The admission is normally $10/adult but we bought the Groupon so we got half off. Highly recommend checking out the maze! We'll be coming back next year for sure!

The manager had no idea a party was coming until 20 minutes prior to arrival. The place is filthy, the barn is a disaster. I feel sorry for the poor animals that live in that place considering the $$$ people drop in there for riding lessons, camp, parties etc. DO NOT GO HERE, you'll regret it!!!!! I recently hosted my twin daughters' 5th birthday party at Autumn's Gate, and unfortunately, the…read moreexperience was incredibly disappointing--especially considering we paid several hundred dollars, even with a promotional rate. From the moment we arrived, not a single employee greeted us or provided any direction. In fact, another parent who happened to be there with her daughter was the only person who offered any assistance. I initially thought she worked there because she was the only person helping us. Thank goodness she was there, because without her, things would have gone even worse. The party was originally booked to be held outdoors, weather permitting. Since rain was in the forecast, I proactively contacted the owner beforehand to confirm there was a backup plan. On the day of the party, however, the weather turned out to be beautiful--sunny with some wind, but overall a gorgeous day. When we arrived, we were directed into a barn that was in very rough condition. The owners knew we were expecting approximately 50 guests, yet there was no way that many people could have comfortably fit in the space provided. Since no staff member was communicating with us, I called the owner myself and asked if we could move the party outdoors. She explained that the tent couldn't be set up due to high winds, which I completely understood. She then told us a staff member would walk us to the outdoor area so we could see the alternative setup. This was about 10 minutes before guests were scheduled to arrive. When we got outside, it was obvious the space had not been prepared. There were bicycles and miscellaneous items scattered around, no garbage cans, and three employees were hurriedly wiping down tables while guests were already arriving. It felt as though no one had planned for us to use the space at all, despite that being where we had originally booked the party. To make matters worse, one of the owners casually told us, "If you need anything, I'll be in the woods through that path," and disappeared. No one explained the schedule, the activities, or what to expect. There was supposed to be a tour included, and I had to track someone down to ask about it. We later learned that the owners didn't even inform staff about our party until midnight the night before. The employee assigned to lead the tour appeared understandably frustrated because she had only been told about it roughly 20 minutes before she was expected to conduct it. Thankfully, the kids still had fun, but as the host, I was embarrassed in front of my family and friends. The entire event felt disorganized, unprepared, and poorly managed. The property itself was also concerning. The potholes in the driveway were so severe that my brother's car nearly bottomed out. The grounds were overgrown with weeds, and there was junk scattered throughout the property. Given the cost of hosting events and riding lessons there, it raises the question of where that money is being invested, because it certainly does not appear to be going toward property maintenance or guest experience. To top it all off, after providing virtually no support throughout the event, the owner wanted another parent to take photos of the party for advertising purposes. That request felt incredibly inappropriate given the experience we had. Near the end of the party, one of the owners finally approached us and asked if we needed anything. By that point, we were already packed up and leaving. I booked this party nearly a month in advance and expected a professional, organized experience. Instead, I received the complete opposite. If you are considering booking a birthday party or event here, I would strongly encourage you to reconsider. The children may enjoy the animals and activities, but the lack of preparation, communication, customer service, and overall upkeep made this one of the most disappointing event experiences I've ever had. I cannot recommend Autumn's Gate, and I would not spend my money there again.

Beautiful gorge view as you walk on a wide easy path from the fishing area parking lot to the…read moreLewiston-Queenston Bridge...then continuing the path gets rougher with some uphills and downhills, a bit of rocks but I'd say a moderate hike that ends at the bike path near the Power Authority at the top of the gorge. It can take an hour or so to complete. You can return on the asphalt path heading back into Lewiston or go back the way you came....nice to have options. I love that it's a free walk in nature. Wild raspberries, beautiful wild flowers and turkey Buzzards soaring overhead are common sights ....unless it's winter then the ice hanging from the gorge wall is absolutely stunning. A wonderful year round trail.

Escape City Buffalo sets a high bar for Escape rooms here in WNY. This is one reason I selected it…read morerecently when the teams I work with wanted a little adventure. I first visited Escape City 5 years ago or so, I was working a different job but really enjoyed the experience. In my previous adventure I played the Over the Falls experience and was completely blown away by the game. (We did not get out) Recently I was thinking for ways to get the two teams I work with out of the office and have an adventure. This wasnt about networking, team work, collaboration, etc. This was just about getting out and having fun. So when I saw Escape City launch Jurassic Quest I had to make a suggestion. I am a lifelong dinosaur fan and of course love the Jurassic Park, later World franchises and read the two original books earlier this year. If you are a fan of the movies you will notice MANY incredible details of this room and if you are a dino-finantic you'll easily get through some puzzles. The production value of Escape City is phenomenal as their parent company is Frightworld. You'll find great investment the room(s) you play through. Ive only played Over the Falls and Jurassic Quest, but each room pays incredible attention to detail and great investment in the technology for the room. If youre looking for an incredible escape room experience I highly recommend coming here for a game. My only caution is that this sets the bar high and most other escape rooms are not this produced.
