After calling out from work, I looked around online and saw the minute clinic near me. They open up at 8:30 am and seem to close around 7-7:30 pm, with an hour closed for lunch (2 pm). Weekend hours are a bit shorter but I think they're open 7 days a week. Booked my appointment online, only had to wait about 10 minutes tops after arriving and checking in. After booking, you'll get texted/emailed a code, just type that in at the kiosk in the store and give them a few other pieces of info/sign crap, and you're good to go. It's located just off the pharmacy to the side, so you'll get to stare at the people waiting in the ridiculous pharmacy line while you wait! The provider (sadly I didn't get her name) was awesome. She did NOT order any unnecessary tests, especially knowing I was uninsured. She took the time to walk me over and get something OTC to help me out. I really appreciated that. I got my diagnosis without the ridiculous ER or walk-in clinic bill. In fact, minute clinic posts their prices online, so no big surprises if you're paying cash. I'd go here for any non-emergency if I couldn't see my PCP, or didn't have insurance. Heck, I'd still go back once insurance kicks in for simple stuff. I wish they had more of these and more providers like the one I saw today.

I say this to say, I needed a particular vaccination and had a very hard time receiving it. My primary care did carry it, and did not provide outside help to me at all. I went to Walgreens and my insurance denied the vaccination because it was from a pharmacy(at this point I'm furious) I proceeded to call the insurance and asked for an override(DENIED) Lastly I got on Dr. Google, and WALAH like magic I found City Life!!!! The staff was polite, the place was very clean, the wait was minimal, and the process was smooth. The dr. even informed me of an ear infection that I thought I may has. Infection turned out to be fatal flesh eating infect from being bit by a crab while preparing seafood. Surgeon contacted the Urgent care and found out his labs had been back, they knew about the flesh eating infection, and that antibiotic prescribed was worthless, yet THEY NEVER INFORMED MY DAD! If not for this surgeon, my dad would be DEAD! Completely worthless want-to-be "doctors"...STAY AWAY!!!

She also wrote out a scrip for an anti-biotic, for me to use just in case the new treatments do not have any effect after two more days. She even sent a scrip to my regular pharmacy for some things that are available over the counter, in case that would help me to get them with prescription coverage. So, overall: a great experience while I was feeling pretty crummy. She was professional and empathic. Much more than at urgent care locations, such as Carbon Health. My new go to plan will be to avoid "urgent care" places and go to CVS minute clinics instead.
