Sitting in the taxi van right now with no air conditioning and driver says fan doesn't work either. Have to have windows down on freeway and slow period of traffic we got to enjoy fumes. The first time I saw the checkered cab driving around town a few months ago, I thought it was just a really cool restored cab that some classic car enthusiast had as a personal car. Fast forward to about 2 weeks before my wedding (3/22/14) I was freaking out because we didn't have a way to get from our ceremony in Livermore to our reception in the Oakland hills, then I found Harmony here with Livermore Taxi. When I first spoke with him I knew it was going to be a great experience, he was so helpful and accommodating. Any time I had a question I loved that I could just text him and he got back to me right away. The day of our wedding, almost everything had a hiccup - I ripped the lining of my dress, broke my strap, bouquets weren't finished, photogs assistant had to bail, wedding favors didn't make it out, I didn't get any of my amazing cake, ect...you get the point. BUT one of the few things that went of PERFECTLY was our ride. Harmony and the checkered cab were waiting for us the second we walked out of the church. He was very mellow and let us take as much time for photos as we wanted, our drive out to the Oakland hills was super relaxing, he made great conversation with us and we got a TON of attention (waves and honks) from other people on the freeway because there was a vinyl on the back window that said "Just Married James and Jeska Bravante" seriously! How awesome is that?! Then at 11pm our exit song played and we went outside to do our sparkler exit, and there they were again, waiting perfectly out front of the stairs. Harmony helped us into the cab and drove us to Lafayette to our wedding night hotel. I have to be honest, I was a little drunk by this point so I don't remember how the conversation was, but it had to have been good, we were all smiles when we got out. I almost wish I could get married again just so I can have Harmony and the checkered cab take us to our destinations, but I don't think I want to go through all the other prep work for a wedding again. We rented the 1960's style taxi to whisk us away after our wedding this past weekend. Not only were they very prompt in arriving they helped while we were taking photos to make sure proper lights were on so we would get wonderful pictures. The driver was very nice and professional and truly made the end to our night amazing. Not to mention there was enough room in the back seat for me in my dress without feeling cramped or being engulfed in tulle and lace. I was glad to hear you can also rent this taxi for wine tasting as I would love to use it again! Harmony & Co have consistently exceeded our expectations. Having used Livermore Taxi several times prior, I felt confident calling them in the following situation: I woke up one morning feeling very sick, and was certainly not going anywhere. My daughter, however, still needed to get to school. She was in middle school in Pleasanton, and we live in Livermore. I called Livermore Taxi, & Harmony arrived exactly when he said he would. He saw the situation when I walked my daughter out to the cab, instructing her to call or text as soon as she arrived at school. Without asking him to do so, Harmony himself called to tell me they'd arrived at the school ok, that he'd watched to make sure my daughter got into the building ok, and assured me all was well. I have never forgotten his unsolicited gesture of kindness and reassurance right when we needed it. We only drive classic cars, and while these gems delight us in many ways, they of course require much more maintenance than the average newer vehicle. For that reason, we routinely need to call a cab, often unexpectedly. We use Livermore Taxi exclusively, and highly recommend them to friends and family. read more

I had an early flight out of Oakland and whoever was going to pick me up was going to have to get up at 4 something am on a Saturday morning. I had just had a bad Uber experience and was having anxiety about calling them or Lyft to pick me up, in fear of missing my flight. I had heard great things about Harmony at Livermore Taxi through Livermore Rants and Raves FB page. When I called to request pickup, the response was immediate. When I sent a confirmation text the day before my flight, the confirmation was also immediate. When Harmony pulled up to my driveway I looked at my watch and he was exactly on the dot of the pick up time I requested. His car was exceptionally clean and there was bottled water sitting right next to me. Harmony was very friendly, polite and professional. A taxi service will typically cost a bit more than Uber or Lyft but it is well worth a little extra for peace of mind knowing your driver is actually going to show up and you won't miss your flight. I highly recommend Livermore Taxi and will definitely be using them again. read more

I was looking for a taxi in Livermore last night, found this, and I was very satisfied. I called late last night. I told the person where I was was. I was told that a driver would be there to pick me up in 10-15 minutes. They arrived promptly within the stated time. Clean car, Scion xB if I'm correct. We got on our way. I knew the destination that I had in mind, but didn't have an address so I was kind of vague there. No problem for the driver, we talked a little bit and he knew where I wanted to go, so kudos to knowing the city so well. Driver didn't make needless conversation, but was more than happy to chat if I wanted to. He was speedy, but very safe. I was impressed because I could tell that he was very skilled in handling the car. I arrived at my destination quickly. We paid the driver and that was it. Seemed pretty reasonable in terms of the fare. About $12 to take me across town. I would definitely call Livermore Taxi again! read more

We used their airport shuttle service a couple of days before Christmas to OAK because our flight was early and BART would not yet be running. The driver was about 5-10 minutes late but called to let us know. We always give ourselves extra time anyway, so this wasn't an issue. Driver was courteous, handled our luggage, and the cab was pristine. Price was affordable--definitely more so than any other airport services in the area.
