First time trying this place. Greeted by a high school girl at the desk with a 'We'll like..be right with you'. For next 5 minutes I watched her right in front of me as she helped another hostess sort menus. After 5 minutes she looks up and it's a ' we'll just be like a few more minutes'. Truly excellent service - incredibly attentive without being obtrusive, friendly and helpful, every member of the staff we interacted with was top-notch. It was a beautiful evening so I appreciated the fresh air eating in the semi-outdoor space. The menu was tantalizing - we decided to order a bunch of plates and share everything. We found every dish to be good, but better together. We both enjoyed the puffs they brought out for the table before we ordered... they reminded me a bit of Bugles. The guacamole was fine but plain - it could have benefited from some peppers and/or onions and definitely needed lime. The brussel sprouts and plantains were both decent. The bean & cheese empanadas were a little bland, but much better when dipped in the Serrano hot sauce from the brussel sprouts or the habanero sauce from the plantains. I booked Livery for a group of 11 ladies celebrating a few birthdays. I called and spoke with the manager, and she was very helpful when I had a lot of questions. They put our table off to the side so we didn't have to worry about disturbing other tables. We got the guacamole and the Mexican corn sides. We got 2 of each and it was enough to serve the table. The spicy marg was excellent (very spicy) and I split the empanadas plate and mahi tacos with another person. The emanadas came with a total of 9 (3 of each kind) and the tacos had 3. I wish we knew how many empanadas there would be when we ordered, because we didn't finish it all. Everything was VERY good though. I didn't hear anyone complain about their meal. Bridget was our server, and she was so attentive and handled all of our requests in a timely manner. They brought out small churros plates for the 2 ladies celebrating birthdays. April 26th. The ambiance was good, drinks were great, but then that's where we had issues. We were a table of 8. My wife and I were the first to arrive and asked about the beer selection, server was not prepared and did not know or prepare and write down his beer selections. We ordered guacamole and it took 40mins. To the servers credit, he recognized the wait and said he would have it taken off. At the end of the meal, he brought out the checks and said the manager would not take off the guacamole, and offered churros. Manager never came to the table to check on us even though there was an issue. The churros were over cooked when we got home. It was a $500 table. I didn't ask for compensation, but to offer and then switch to something cheap was disappointing. Our group felt overall the food was overpriced. I don't recommend the empanada's they were bland. Tacos were good. We got a salad added shrimp, and be warned that for a $9 up charge you get 3 decent sized shrimp, but 3? I would have expected 5 shrimp at least for a $24 salad. Overall, I don't recommend unless you're going for a few drinks. The menu did not have enough alternatives to see if there may be something else we might like to try in the future. What we had was well below expectations. I would rate higher, but feel it would not match or disappointment. Too many other good restaurants to try. read more

First off this new area in Montgomery is so nice, easy to access and great parking. I chose Livery for my birthday dinner. There were 5 in my party. The space is very pretty, modern. I think the tables are a little small but we made it work. Most at my table chose the Livery Margarita as their cocktail. It was delicious. I love fresh squeezed mixtures in my cocktails. My cousin wanted a strawberry margarita and although not on the menu, they made it happen. We ordered salsa, queso and chips for the table and I waited to late and the queso was gone. Lets you know it must have been pretty good. I also had the street corn. It was a bit cold but still very good. Entrees we had: Paella, Skirt Steak, Chicken Empanadas, Pork Belly tacos and Picana! Wow. Every person at the table was pleased with their meal. There were a couple picky eaters in my group so I was worried. I must say I was so relieved. The extra special icing on the cake was our server, Kendal with one L! We could not have asked for a more pleasant, helpful and patient person. She was such a bright light. Okay, here we go!!! This place is goooood!!! Latin American food, excellent. Try the empanadas, all are good but the corn ones are very unique. We progressed to the cauliflower dish for another appetizer. Excellent, have to try, very different. Oh and by the way, drinks were amazing. Beautiful decorating if I may say so and I'm a decorator, retired. I would get rid of the knives though and go with a good wood handle steak knife On to entrees, I had skirt steak, amazing!!!
