First time here although has been on my list for a bit. I was seated as soon as I walked in. I sat next to the bar at a high-top table. I ordered a cocktail, the Campos De'Arandanos. The cocktail was refreshing with a slight bitter note in a good way. I ordered a Cuban empanada and a Korean BBQ empanada. They were a bit smaller than I thought they would be but they were crispy and full of the fillings. I liked both of them but if I had to choose a favorite I would choose the Cuban. The Cuban contained pork shoulder, ham, pickles, mustard, and provolone cheese. The Korean BBQ contained braised pork, peppers, and onions. Both were very good. I did order some empanadas to go for the hubby. I ordered the Jerk Chicken, Short Rib, and De Carne. He is a beef lover. He said they were good. Nice interior. Great experience! My husband and I have wanted to try this place out. We have been to the OTR location a few times but this place is closer to home. We put a reservation in for a weeknight evening and easily showed up and got seated at our time. Probably didn't need the reservation but who knows? We both shared the meal for two. I can't remember exactly what it's called but it was totally worth it. The money spent was well worth it and the food was just amazingly delicious! From all of the meats to the empanadas, we were happy! The ambience here was pretty nice. Very eclectic but also very rancho in South America kind of vibe that you get at Argentine places. Definitely would return! We learned that brunch has come back so we definitely want to come back for brunch someday since we haven't had brunch at the OTR location in a few years since they got rid of it. For drinks, my lady had a glass of the Humberto Canale malbec and I had a Quilmes. Even though they were getting busy, we didn't wait long at all before everything came out. The wings were super tasty and had just the right amount of spicy kick. The sprouts were some of the best I've had in a while. And the empanadas were as epic as always. I was highly underwhelmed with the food and service at Che. Our server was not communicative and came over and stood at our table in silence waiting for us to order. We also used a gift card that should have covered most of our meal but he only ran half the gift card? It was very weird and I would not recommend the service. The empanadas were lacking seasoning and needed more flavor, while dough is not what I would call traditional for an empanada. I been to the original location in OTR and I loved it so I was excited to try this branch. However, I was not impressed at all. We got there around 4 on a Saturday and the place was very empty.
