Livewire fitness is a group of boot camp, fitness and running camp options offered by Jennifer Reid at livewirefit.com. I actually found them via Carpenter Rec Center in Plano and have taken 20+ am boot camp sessions. The sessions are challenging and leave me feeling strong and energized. Nothing like doing burpies, spider crawls, step ups and lifting weights to get going in the morning. Don't get me wrong - you are not reading the review of a major fitness pro. I really don't like to exercise, but I recognize the benefits including the physical and mental advantages. I'm just a mom who wants to keep up with her kids; a fan of food and caloric concoctions; and one who is looking forward to shopping for smaller clothes. The reason for the 5star is that the group itself really focuses on all around fitness. They offer additional motivation via email and optional "challenges" that go into meal planning. Jennifer is the instructor of LiveWire Fitness and I have to tell you. She was hard on me when I took her boot camp at TMB. She did it with encouragement and made me feel as if I am the only individual working out one on one with her! I lost 8 pounds after my 1st bootcamp session. I also love the fact that she sends out emails daily with healthy recipes for us to all try out. I can only tell you that if you're really serious about losing weight! This class rocks! Jennifer is great! The classes are challenging even after 9 months. She shifts her workouts on a regular basis which keeps it fresh and new. I started taking classes after a friend told me about this class. I wasn't sure I could commit to 5:30 in the morning. It is hard to get up but then I'm done with my workout for the day, nothing gets in the way and I feel great that I've done something for me. The class is really a good community where people encourage one another and help keep you accountable to your workouts. They notice when you miss and are concerned. Jennifer really goes above just running class. She has organized runs, helps monitor your food journals, and is really intrested and invested in helping you reach fitness goals. Jennifer also offers regular incentives in the form of contests which makes class fun too. Due to this class I started running. I've completed 2 half marathons and run with members from the running club on a regular basis. Something I NEVER would have seen myself doing befoer this class. If you are searching for a fun, energetic and challenging workout, this is the place for you! Jennifer's upbeat, hour long workouts are always interesting and include a mix of cardiovascular, strength, interval and circuit training as well as sprints and plyometrics. Boredom is not an option in this class! In addition to the health and nutritional benefits, you gain the support and encouragement from other members who are striving for similar goals. Whether you want to run a 5K or train for a marathon, the High Voltage running club which meets on Saturday mornings is also an awesome option. Jennifer develops training schedules tailored for the groups' goals and the benefit of dedicated running partners definitely challenged and encouraged me to reach my goal of completing a half marathon! read more

I've been attending both LiveWire Fitness boot camp and running club for 3+ years and absolutely love it! If you are looking for a family-like environment that is exactly what LiveWire Fitness is. Energized owner, and trainers...folks who enjoy coming to class, we all motivate and encourage each other. I am NOT a morning person and my friends at LiveWire Fitness are the only reason I get up to go to boot camp at 5:30am. I've completed my first half marathon all thanks to the amazing support I've received from my running coach and fellow running buddies. My running coach not only trained along side me for several months but he also ran the entire half marathon with me! I'll admit that I was skeptical when I first joined LiveWire Fitness. I had been a member of other boot-camp style fitness programs before and couldn't imagine how LiveWire could be THAT different. Boy was I wrong! Jennifer really knows how to structure a class that both meets people where they are from a personal activity level and challenges people to push themselves in new and different ways. She varies the exercises from session to session, always making sure we get a comprehensive workout that pretty much covers every muscle group (including those I didn't realize I previously had!) Since joining LiveWire, I've noticed I have more energy, I've gained definition and I'm more conscientious about the foods I eat. Plus, it's a LOT of fun. I've been going to Livewire off & on (depending on my schedule) for over 5 years now. When I 1st started I was very intimidated but that changed quickly. Jennifer & her trainers give you the individual instruction you need to get through any workout. The sincerity of whole group wanting you to succeed is amazing. If you have any questions about exercise or nutrition they will answer it for you. Livewire also does challenges with healthy eating habits & they provide everything you need to succeed. I joined Livewire Fitness in June 2016. I typically change workout places often because j get bored of the same routine but I love boot camp and enjoy going! Getting up early is not easy but Livewire Fitness makes it worth it!! The workouts are fun and change each day so there is no chance of getting bored with the same routine. The trainers are great and really invest in your personal fitness goals! Livewire is not just a workout. I love this bootcamp class!! In the past, I never really enjoyed working out. I only did it because I had to. That has changed with this boot camp. Everybody is so encouraging (both the class members and the instructors). Jennifer does lots of research to keep finding new exercises so that the classes are always different. That keeps me very motivated. This class is good for all fitness levels, but you will definitely find that you are pushing yourself harder than you thought you would. For years I worked out by myself but finally got bored. I can't imagine ever getting bored at LiveWire Fitness. The classes are amazing - each class provides different routines so that you truly get a well-rounded work out over the week. One day may be upper body, the next lower body, then cardio - you just don't know what to expect; except that you will leave there feeling energized. And you can always depend on the instructor and fellow participants to cheer you on no matter what level you may exercise at you will be challenged and encouraged in your workout. read more
