Where to start. I'm just thankful I took a look at their review BEFORE giving this place thousands of my hard earned dollars. I find their "we're not commissioned" sales pitch immediately upon walking through the door hilarious. Stop following us around like we're children in a antique shop. I'll ask you for help if I need it. My wife and I were very out off by their nonstop tailing as we browsed the store. We did notice the quality of the furniture did not seem to be much better than the big blue discount furniture store. Just displayed better. In fact, many of the displays are already showing sign a wear. Flattening cousins, hard to open drawers, squeaky hinges and recliners, etc. Their staff was also rude. They were very condescending when we asked questions about the pieces that we were looking at and how long it would take to be delivered. We actually found something from a TV designer that looked decent and wasn't a horrible price, although the quality wasn't great. When I opened my Yelp app to check their reviews we quickly left. All of the things we didn't feel good about had happened to others. Even multiple reviews about delivery issues and the overall quality of their product. I guess our initial gut feeling was spot on. The store is nice and the salespeople are friendly but I can't get a piece of furniture that isn't damaged. I sent my item back with the driver due to chips and scratches. I went to the store and ordered a replacement and delivery was scheduled for the next day. When my furniture arrived it was the exact damaged piece that came yesterday! Beyond frustrated! read more

If I can give it less than one, I would. Customer service is at a level that Mcds would be embarrassed by. I had a delivery for today (7/13/2021), first off, the delivery crew didn't get my full order for today. The delivery guy said that I should have received a call this morning-didn't happen. So I try calling. Oh my, how useless is their phone number. First time calling, 2 for deliveries, press 2 again for "if your delivery had not been completed". Sit on hold for 27 minutes listening to the same hold music. Then the hold music stops, and 3 minutes later in disconnected. I call again, press 2, press 2, sit on hold for about 20 minutes then someone picks up. Talk them through it, they apologize, schedule the missing item for Thursday. Delivery crew finishes, leaves. I start to make the bed for my son, hear a loud crack. Lift the mattress to find one of the slats is broken in half. Call the delivery guy immediately, he says he needs to call dispatch, never calls me back and now dodges my calls. I call customer service again, press 2, but now it's press 1 because my delivery has already been completed. I get an option to get a call back, so I don't have to sit on hold. Ok. 30 minutes later, they call me. I explain all the issues, tell them I need a replacement slat support, they say best they can do is tomorrow. I now have to have my kid sleep on the couch tonight? I say no. I ask for the manager, and she says that she will put in a request and I'll recieve a call back within 24 hours. I explain how that doesn't work, she puts me on hold, comes back to me to say that a manager will call back in 24 hours and then hangs up on me. I immediately drove to the store (they don't have their own phone number) and all they offer me is $50 off the delivery fee. I tell them I would cancel everything if my kid hadn't already seen his new bed. I cancel my oversized chair that was expected in August, and I'll never step foot in Living Spaces again. So sad that the salespeople on the floor actually think a commission is achieved by a sale made on site, only to find the customer has cancelled due to the absolute fiasco of a delivery process. Unbelievably poor ability to deliver product as advertised Multiple changes in delivery dates caused me to CANCEL ORDER!! I refused to pay a "RESTOCKING FEE" on a partial order delivered, and then returned because of their ineptness. Can't deliver as promised, take this stuff back. Still waiting for my refund for a desk that was bought cash, never delivered, but they seem to refuse a refund for a desk that their shipping company lost or whatever. I've been back to the store on 7/14, 7/18, 7/19, 7/22, and now again on 8/5. The just don't seem to understand that I bought the desk from them, not their shipping company. I ordered couches 2 months before I needed them delivered. Delivery day came, I waited all day to get them and was tracking them the whole time. Well furniture shopping is never on my list as fun or enjoyable things to do but it a necessity to do at times. We had been to this location 3 times now and each time I can say that it is a very pleasant experience. First time we went on a whim that I had to look for a children's dining room table and chairs for our grandchildren. My granddaughter wanted this for a Christmas gift and I wanted to see what they had or could order. To our surprise they had 4 different sets to choose from. Although they didn't have it in stock they delivered the set and 4 chairs in a box 4 days later to our house. After the experience we had with that trip when our daughter and son in law bought a new house we went furniture shopping. We went to Ashley but it was obvious that the sale they were having had caused a substantial mark up in pricing so they could give you a "deal" thanks but no! Went back to living spaces and walked around with the kids and they made some choices. Within an hours time we had found a sectional, coffee tables,end tables and a rug. Salesman while I don't remember his name was very professional and knowledgeable in regards to the products he was selling as well as very thorough on the delivery process and any help that the kids may of had on delivery. Again very impressed. Wife recently said we needed a new mattress so we went to sleep number mattress in Modesto. Recieved an estimate on the total purchase. I wasn't impressed with sleep numbers warranty so I told the lady that I was going to look elsewhere and let her know if we would be back. Went home and Google mattresses Living Spaces came up as sellers of Tempurpedic as well as Sterns and Foster as well as a few other brands. Wife and I once again went to this location and met a young man named Matthew, very pleasant person and seemed very knowledgeable in regards to Tempurpedic products. He spent over an hour with us to help us find the best bed for our sleeping habits. He then went into all the pros and cons for each mattress that we were looking at. We went with Matthew's suggestions as well as all new bedding and pillows. When my wife and I walked out of the store I remarked to her what a pleasant experience it was to deal with Matthew and she agreed. He was a one stop shop Information,knowledgeable,courteous,and also the cashier. Even walked us to the door and Thanked us for the purchase. I had to ask are you on commission? I'm in the process of picking out new Funiture for my new house honestly the journey of Funiture shopping is seriously a full time job, I feel like I've been to every Funiture store including mom and pop stores in San Joaquin county along with Funiture city in Modesto, and a few in the Bay Area, so far I only have 2 of my kids room picked out, along with my kitchen table. Today was my first day in living spaces in Manteca and they had so much stuff that I could hardly focus. Luckily I ran into AMERYSS who helped me sort out some of my indecisiveness. I really appreciate her help, because I feel like she went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. She was honest, if I asked something and she didn't know the answer she didn't just tell me anything, she'll tell me let me go get the answer , as she did. The team work|communication|consistency inside the store I really liked. Although I already had my kitchen table picked out and paid for at a different store I absolutely fell in love with with a new table at living spaces, which at the time was not available, but I'm determined to get it. I canceled my other order at the other store to wait for why I really want. I also ran into Trisha, Marc and the supervisor Bertha who were all very polite knowledgeable about their products, and took time to answer any of my questions thank you all, I will be back. read more

The sales team is great, and they're all just doing the best they can. But the delivery system is so so so messed up. We waited six months for our delivery, and on the day of the delivery they never showed, and it was only after contacting them ourselves that they said it wasn't actually in stock or they couldn't find it or it was damaged. Like several several items! What the heck! We've never been offered any sort of way to make it right, even after asking. We took a huge hit on the restocking fee because it wasn't gonna be available for several more months and we just wanted our living room furnished. We ordered a rug which was received on Nov. 22nd, we left the next day on vacation for the holidays, got back Dec.1st, rolled out the rug when we got back and it doesn't go with the decor, so rolled it back up and took it back for an EXCHANGE, for a more expensive one, on the 4th and were told that it's past the 7 day return policy!! Called Corporate and they said the same thing!! We had it 11 but were home with it for 2. They also will not do ANY returns or exchanges on Furniture so when anyone purchases ANYTHING from Living Spaces, you better make sure it fits or goes with your decor before you buy or your STUCK with it like we are with this rug!!! read more

Don't ask for delivery here. My husband and I had a bad experience. Our delivery was told we would get it on a Monday then was told the truck broke down so we wouldn't be able to get it, then the lady said she would email us the next day. The "next day" no email. Calling is also no help. No one knew what happened to our couch. So what we did we went to the store in person which is better, the people are nice and very friendly at the stores. And had no choice, but to help us since we were there in person . We cancelled the delivery and decided to pick up our couch and boom finally got our couch instead of waiting for days and wondering. read more

I wish there was a way to give 0 stars for this store! Horrid experience!! I had two bad experiences... This store promises the world and under delivers when the actual product gets delivered. First experience: I ordered two swivel chairs. Swivel chairs came to the house... wrong color and with no hardware. They told me it was going to take a month to send the hardware that was needed. I had to sit on the phone for 4 hours while I begged them to return the product and refund my money. Finally they did. It took a week to have them pick up the chairs and return my money. The second time shame on me for going back, I ordered a black velvet chair and ottoman. Mark and Ashley at the store ensured me, by double and triple checking, that this product was in stock. The chair could have been delivered next day but he insisted that it should be delivered with the ottoman that was ordered and it was going to take an extra week. I agreed. When the furniture arrived it was a white chair and no ottoman. After waiting 2 hours past the arrival time and missing my workout class that I was charged for the delivery driver insisted that he could not take it back after I refused the chair. I called customer service... they said they put in a ticket for the store to call me. The store did not call. I ended up driving to the store and explaining what happened. They said they would refund some of my money but they could not refund the chair until the chair that I did not buy and refused was back at the warehouse. So now I'm the sucker that's waiting at home all day for the fourth time for them to pick up the wrong furniture. When I asked the store if they had my chair in stock they told me that the chair I ordered was no longer in stock. So I have waisted four days of my life waiting for furniture from this store... you would think that they would apologize or offer some sort of discount because they felt bad or something.... Nothing their customer service sucks... they put in tickets and the store doesn't call you back... seriously I would buy over priced furniture from any other store before ever purchasing from this store again!!!! I have been telling this story to friends and family to ensure that they do not purchase from this store. I honestly think that I'm going to call the BBB as well because a business should not practice this way... I purchased very expensive couch in November and 6 months later they are falling apart.They are supposed to be made in USA but its quality is made cheaper than couches from the flea market. Two pillows have come entirely apart. Couch is sagging and there are un even lumps everywhere. Its so difficult to get repairs they make it so inconvenient that you dont want to do the return. There is a reason they over this insurance for the couches. Don't buy couches from Living Spaces. read more

I loved the furniture the variety of it.. BUT IHAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH LIVING SPACES.. I think it's bad business when a company does not have a direct phone line and LIVING SPACES store in manteca DOES NOT HAVE A DIRECT LINE . You have to call a 800 number and speak to people with bad accents who know nothing about your order, I went in purchased a WHOLE BEDROOM SET,, vanity! Dresser,mattress bed , a rug and even a 200$ pillow .spent almost 6000$ I kept getting emails and text reminders that my furniture would be arriving which was a huge excitement because this was a gift for our daughter.. the morning of delivery I get a call saying the vanity was not going to be delivered due to missing hardware and there was no vanity in any other warehouse anywhere around and they could not even tell me if i would be able to receive the vanity in the future because " they couldn't even explain why" so we were VERY UPSET to say the least since the vanity was the main reason we chose living spaces. So 20 minutes later after the call about the vanity ,I get another call saying the PILLOW !! would not be coming either because they were out of stock.. i could not even call the store and speak to the associate that helped me because the store has no direct number. So the furniture arrives and the bed frame came unboxed full of nicks and scratches and a BIG CHIP so we had to refuse it and the delivery guy was upset because he was worried about getting a bad name and kept trying to talk us into keeping it. He gave living spaces a bad look. So next day I had to drive down just to personally speak to someone about my order and pick up my pillow and order a new bed.Now all my daughter has is a rug and a mattress on the floor and a dresser and pillow. I had ordered over 3k worth of furniture. The store informed me I will get my order from the LA warehouse and may take two weeks. NO big deal except now they say it's more like four weeks. I called to complain and a young customer service rep said they will get me a manager call within 24 hours. First, I understand COVID has delayed other shipments but my order according to their system said it was available and ready to go. BS Problems for Living Spaces 1. They don't notify customers of delays and if I had known it would take this long I would take my business elsewhere. 2. Why not get the store manager to call back your consumer??? 3. The location of the store is nice, the employees I encountered were nice, but the business side of things, custom ordering a $3k couch and getting quoted 6-8 weeks and now it's week 10 with no update on my couch. My living room is empty and I cannot have company over with no couch here. I should have had my couch weeks ago. The sales person had even told me he made a custom order and his came in 5 weeks. It's false advertising, a rip off, and a shame I thought I could do business with them. It was my first time with this company and will be my LAST. This is a shister outfit - I would never recommend them to anyone - I spent over $750 for a chair that looks like crap & is so uncomfortable you can't sit in it because it leans forward. Living Spaces sent out 2 repairmen from SAW- a company contracted by LS - rude & unfriendly. They worked on the chair for 20 minutes & told us it wasn't fixable. We told them we wanted a refund & to take it back. LS warranty dept says they can't take it back & the SAW people said there was nothing wrong with the chair. Showroom is nice, salesperson nice. Delivery is horrible! First off, the delivery man was going to leave my delivery on my driveway. I has to ask him to bring it in my house. He immediately took a picture of the box and proceeded to leave. I was shocked and asked him to un box my furniture for me. He refused! I noticed the box had holes and was damaged! So this is the service I get? Complete night and day from store to delivery. Delivery Man left me a damaged box and refused to open it so I could check if my furniture was correct and not damaged. He said he only delivers the box and if it's wrong or damaged call customer services and tell them. This is not what the salesperson told me. The sales person told me they would unbox my piece and set it up for me and if I saw any flaws I would send it back with the delivery man. I highly do not recommend this place to buy any kind of furniture. The sales associates are less than an educated on what they have as well as not knowing the color. Upon looking for a couch I explain to the sales associate the colors that I was looking for. I told the sales associate that I was looking in the gray family. She showed me the couch that I purchased that in the show room it looks gray. I sat on the couch and ask the sales associate if it was a charcoal grey. She said YES! I got it delivered and the couch is a navy blue. Definitely not the color that I was looking for. With Living Spaces you cannot contact the store directly they give you an 800 number that you have to jump through hoops to try to speak to somebody in the store. I don't understand the store can I be contacted if you want to speak to someone in the store I was told over and over again at the store does not have a phone number directly that it goes through a 800 Center which I find completely ridiculous. Unfortunately most of my communication was through email instead of a call. So if you're the type of person that would that speak to the sales associate that you've dealt with unfortunately you will never get the chance to do that. I was also informed that if I want to return my couch I will be charged a fee to return it. Which I should not be charged anything if it was the associates error. This was my first purchase at Living Spaces and this will definitely be my last! I am writing this review before I have actually received the furniture. Customer service in the store is great it's the aftersale. Once you purchase and PAY for everything they set a delivery date. Then the delivery folks take over and that is the big issue. They called 3 days prior and confirmed the delivery time with me live on the phone. Then another person confirmed via voicemail. Then 2 days later at midnight an email comes through and says "your delivery is postponed for 14 days and we will call you to set up an appointment. I then reached out, they told me that the transfer truck did not have enough room. I get to wait another week. I spoke to customer service for LS and they said nothing they can do. I went into the store. The poor aftersale continued. They cannot do anything with the shipping company - I feel if we had the items delivered for pick up at the store they still would not be on time. I recently purchased over $8,500 worth of furniture and the delivery drivers did not bring some of the hardware for 3/4 of the chairs. Waited another 3-4 days for them to just come back out with the hardware and assemble the chairs and these idiots forgot the hardware again. Not sure who is running their warehouse but a quick check of your jobs (reason for the stop) and the product/supplies on the truck would avoid this nonsense. Needless to say, I told them to take their furniture back after being told it would be another week before they could come out. Let's start off by saying I loved this store, the amount of choices are endless. The first few times we visited the store the service was amazing! I loved that the team did not work on commission and shove furniture down your throat. I loved that! Made us return. Fast forward to a few weeks later when we returned to purchase furniture. We purchased a filling living room set. Sofa, loveseat, over sized chair and ottoman. Almost $4000 later. Everything seemed great. Delivery came and they sent me the wrong accent pillows for the couch and shorted me the number of them as well. Calling customer service was awful. Refused to help and refused to let me speak to a manager. So I got in the car and drove the 40 minutes to where I purchased. Houig (I cannot remember the spelling) manager on duty greeted me and did not help me. He blamed every single people except the sales team for the pillows being incorrect. Dude I get it things happen! That rubbed me the wrong way. He said he would fix it, and order the correct items. Well that did not happen for over a week. Told me UPS would deliver in about a week. Well jokes on me I got an email stating it would be 4-8 weeks they had to custom make the pillows and blah blah blah. Which going off what manager stated they grabbed the wrong pillows when the wrapped the couch they should be sitting in a wear house somewhere. WRONG!! Then I spoke with Jasmin. She was extremely helpful and nice. She seemed to care and want to take care of the issue. She then assured me a the pillows were also incorrectly sent same speech as other manager. Well fast forward to a few weeks later and my pillows arrive. They are the SAME pillows as I have on the couch. I return to living spaces to deal with the issue. No one cares!! The incorrect pillows are still sitting on the couch in their show room. 2 other associates tell me and the manager Hoaog the pillows I was supposed to receive are discontinued and the brown multi colored are the new pillows! Which by Jasmin I was told the gray pillows (what I wanted) were the correct and the brown were the old. Even when I mentioned online the set had the brown and was told they haven't updated the images yet. No one else in the store seemed to know this information besides 2 other associates. At this point my blood was boiling. I would not have chosen these pillows. For the price I paid, I should have gotten what I paid for! To some it was a simple pillow but for me I wanted what I paid for and what I was told I was going to get by 2 different sales associates. I was really upset at this point. I asked to speak to the store manager. Which I had on several occasion before but they refused. Not sure if he thinks he's god and walks on water or if he refuses to deal with customers. Well a man with a hidden name tag walks up rude and arrogant as can be and says how can I help? I responded are you the store manager? He said I will repeat myself for you. How can I help. After hearing his name from another associate he moves and he name tag appears. Then do I say oh you are the manager and repeats the same thing. I am trying to explain why I'm upset and he looks at me and says well looks like you got it handled and have a gold day and walks off. There are so many different ways this could have gone. So many different ways. I got it mistakes happen and that's fine. However when you continue to make them at the customer's experience that is not okay! Not one single time did I receive an apology for the issue, or offer for me to walk over and select new patter or fabric for pillows that I'll actually like. That would have been a quick simple fix but not a single person in that store cares. End of store we are returning the entire order and will take our business else where. Is there was a zero star they would literally get it. My husband and I returned a messed up dining room table and requested for a refund. We have called customer service over 20 times and they keep telling us they will call back within 72 hours. Finally got told that our refund is in the mail and we will receive it within 10-15 days...it's been 3 months. Wtf. I called customer service yet again and they told me our refund was deposited into our account...where? The guy on the phone told me it was deposited into our credit card account? How? We didn't even use a credit card. Then told me he couldn't shard the card information because it was confidential information...? Okay? So I contacted living spaces via chat the same day and then they told me "IT" is working on our refund and checks get processed on Wednesday and sent out Fridays and to wait 10-15 days. When we first got in there the sales lady was awesome, she spent over an hour helping us find what we were looking for, the only question we had was, "is it in stock and if it could be delivered in a week?" She got on her iPad and said yes. After spending 5k you might as well forget every promise they made, after waiting over a week we were told that our stuff was in a warehouse 45 miles away and that they would send an email to hurry things up. After another week my wife starting calling both living spaces and the shipping warehouse and each time was told an email was sent and wait 48 to 72 hours for delivery to call. After a MONTH of my wife calling living spaces, the shipping company (that said they had received the emails) and calling Headquarters in the Philippines, which was tough to understand, the supervisor at Living Spaces finally got fed up with my wife calling everyday for a month and refunded our money back. They have a good selection of stuff, if you can wait over a month then it's fine. They lied to us and we're sitting in a empty living room and won't ever return read more

My furniture was scheduled to be delivered on 11/24 and I had paid my housekeeper an extra 3 hours waiting for the delivery. It never showed and we never received a call until my husband called to see where they were. The drivers lied about a road being closed and did not follow simple instructions in the road to take. Neither road was closed FYI!!! I called Friday and Saturday. Still have not received a call back as promised. With this being our weekend home we are heading out and I STILL do not have my merchandise. I am a returning customer and shop in the Fremont store normally. Terrible customer service. Had 3 products cancelled because of non stock. That was after securing delivery date for item. Purchased a love seat and finally got it delivered on a Friday. One side of recliner we found did not work. Called customer service on Monday and was told I didn't call within 48 hour window so I couldn't return. They have a company called SAW that fixes their Items. SAW was to come out a month later. SAW cancelled and now have to wait another month for someone to come out. Manager was suppose to call me back within 24 hours- that was about 2 weeks ago. This company does not stand behind product and TERRIBLE customer service. Once product is soled, they're pretty much done with you. Don't get caught up in this mess. read more

Friendly staff and affordable prices. I furnished my living room, dining room and the kids rooms as well. Everything ran smoothly and salesperson that helped us was very knowledge. (I think her name was Tiffany) she had black and white hair which I thought was cool. She helped pick out pieces that would work well in the house. 10/10 highly recommend!! read more

Took my mom to Manteca store a week after their grand opening, she ordered a new bed, frame, pad...the works. First they said it would be delivered in 3-5 days, well the delivery has been canceled and rescheduled 3 times!!! A month later and she still doesn't have her bed! First the reason was the mattress wasn't available, then twice they said the mattress didn't pass inspection even though it was scheduled and even trackable on the truck day of delivery. We have had to arrange 3 people's schedules each time as my dad is bedridden and only my hubby can go over and get him out of bed.....to only have them call to cancel during the 3 hr delivery schedule. Now their latest excuse is the mattress is available but 1/2 of the foundation is not, what a joke! They best be faster with the refund, so disappointing!!! read more
