Not a good way to start off in a new town, Living Spaces. After many years of doing business with Living Spaces in California, my wife and I drove to the brand new Colorado store in Thornton. A 40 minute drive up the toll road ($20 round trip, approx), we met Jessica who told us LS had flown her in from their Houston, TX store to help get the store ramped-up. Our initial interaction was pleasant and not in-your-face like some stores can be so we were happy to shop for a new leather sectional. After 30 minutes of shopping, we found the right one and decided to take advantage of their 24 Month "same as cash" financing through Synchrony Bank which is something we've done very easily at their Irvine, CA store... After leaving the store, we drove home, measured the space and called Jessica to have her send us the link to complete order. After a few calls to Synchrony, we confirmed that our Synchrony Home credit card could be used for this purchase but it would require Living Spaces in Thornton to call Synchrony directly and they would facilitate the transaction. Instead we got a call from a nasally voiced woman (sounded more like a teenager reading a script) that claimed our previous transactions were paid for with a Discover Card?! Synchrony Home is partner of Discover but you'd think they'd know this?! When we bring this to their attention, the woman just kept speaking OVER my wife and refused to listen?! I have since asked for the GMs name and phone number but was told I would have to go through Customer Service (1-877 number). I'm done. Fast forward, this whole process took three days and they're now telling us we have to return to the store to open another line of credit with Synchrony in order to place our order. No thanks. I purchased a marble coffee table from Living Spaces and upon delivery I immediately noticed the condition of the table. The marble table was scratched and chipped on each of the four sides. On one side in particular it is very clear that Living Spaces attempted to fix a chip because there is brown staining around the area that was chipped and 'filled' in. Monday morning I called customer service and they offered a 10% discount. I told them they should see the condition of the table before offering a 10% discount so they can actually see the condition the table is in. I sent in photos and no response after four days so I called back in. This time , I get a representative who says they did not even open a case on my order. I told her I would be happy to forward her the images. I send in the images and then I am offered a 15% discount. I told her this table was 750 plus tax a total of 814.02. If they offered 15% that is LESS than the cost of restocking. That is also LESS than the cost for someone to repair it. On the phone call they agreed that because it is stone a repair will likely not work . So I told them ok why not refund at least 30% . My reasoning is 1. A repair won't work 2. An exchange would require me to disassemble a marble table and pack it up. I am 5'1 120 lbs I cannot disassemble a table to return it. They said I could pay one of their people to disassemble it. At this point it seems to me they want me to pay to send it back when they sent in the messed up table in the first place. In no other shopping scenario have I been told I would need to PAY to have someone pick up a defected product from my home in order to receive a new one. Living Spaces has an 'as is' shopping program where you can buy items from the floor for huge discounts. I told them with proof of severe damage on this table they should at minimum offer me an 'as is' price if I cannot lift the table to return it let alone transport the table. This is why it was delivered in the first place. Overall I am really disheartened by the lack of 'care' and customer service and I feel more people should know that this is occurring so they do their shopping elsewhere. A customer should not have to PAY to return damaged items especially with a 1 year warranty and a 7 day return policy. Be careful purchasing furniture from here chances are it will be damaged. read more

Seemed okay to start in the store. We ordered a desk, bed, nightstands, mattress, pillows, and mattress pad. The desk didn't come within the promised few days, and we had to ask the Chatbot to help us get the desk so my partner could work. The other items were on "backorder" and we were told we'd be called in about 3 weeks to schedule delivery. A month and a half AFTER we were supposed to be contacted, I finally get an answer that 3 of the items are not backordered, they're no longer in inventory at ALL and no one told us. We spent thousands of dollars on these items, to not get them. I had to demand a refund on the full list of items that we are still missing. Their refund policy is a joke, giving you 48 hours to get a refund but then their items don't show up for weeks. I was lucky to get a refund. just now NEW i wouldnt even give them one star. Living Spaces is a nightmare to work with. Do not recommend to anyone. We bought a $900 cabinet and came home to find a broken leg and a missing glass shelf. When we went back they tried to say the shelf was an extra cost of $25! ha! do i buy a couch and pay extra for the cushions? i refused to pay it on principle alone. we spent 45 mins dealing with this before they agreed to cover the glass. we ordered a second cabinet at $900 and they assured us it would arrive with glass. well shocker the new one came damaged on the door and with no glass shelf and we've been told the other piece of glass is now not able to be delivered for some unknown reason. I am in my mid 40's and never in my life have had such a ludacris, frustrsting, nonsensical and quite frankly scam like shopping experience. i do not recommend this retailer to anyone and will never spend another dime there. its a sham! i literally feel like im being scammed and they are more than happy to run you around the store searching for non satisfactory answers. they want your money and dont give a crap about your time or being an ethical retailer. read more

Wow! I thought I was the only one with problems with customer service and the distribution process. The only easy part was deciding on the furniture piece I wanted ;-) However, my issue was not being able to contact the LIVING SPACES store in Thorton, CO. Their 800-line customer service reps explained that none of their physical locations had an incoming phone line. I needed to arrange a pickup, but I couldn't talk to anyone at the store. I had to drive an hour to speak with the manager and get my issue resolved. The problem with Living Spaces is their, assumingly, millennial executive management. They don't prioritize customer service and teach customer service reps to react instead of providing knowledgeable, logical, and solution-driven help. I suggested they ditch artificial intelligence and STOP programming their customer service reps. PLEASE call MICHAEL ZINSER, CFO of LIVING SPACES, at (google corp office). If you can't reach him, ask for DELEON NEVELS, CGO (joke!;-) Chief Guest Relations Manager. I've left messages for both but only received one callback from DELEON NEVELS. He promised to call back the next day, and I left him a message the next morning, but I never heard from him again. I will post my full story on all their social media accounts and all the customer review sites soon. I'll also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. With whom I've had the pleasure to work with in the past (F'n SPIRIT AIRLINES). I appreciate the support of the BBB and the advocacy they provide for consumers. On another note, the humans that I physically conversed with were very nice and, for the most part, professional (could use some help in greeting and introducing themselves as they stalk you wearing headphones and mics, though). AND they can't seem to answer a question without their tablet or computer. Forget asking a simple question and getting a simple answer. They usually reply with another question;-( At least all the employees agreed the system was flawed! I like how Living Spaces only responds to the reviews it has an excuse for. SHAME! I and all these other customers have been totally disrespected, lied to, misled, not informed, AND ignored by the Corporate Executives who brag about their innovations in customer service and delivery logistics. These people make all the money while their poorly trained employees suffer a job with endless complaints and angry customers. Obviously, the corporate executives DONT CARE!!!!! They still walk home every night with their fat wallet and not a worry in the world. This Corporate greed and manipulation has got to stop! Keep up the reviews and don't forget to file your complaint with the BBB. It's not that difficult and THEY do RESPOND to EVERYONE! PLEASE SHARE!!! An update to my June 8, 2024 review. Everything finally arrived, although much later than I had originally led to believe. The merchandise is all very nice. My primary complaint was and is that when I was experiencing difficulties, there was no one at the local store in Colorado that I could speak with. Well I finally contact from Maria in the local store. She was a gem. Totally helpful and stayed in contact. Very responsive. Kudos to Maria!! Thank you for your willingness to help. Experience in the store was great! Delivery and customer service after was HORRIBLE. Couch was put together broke and the delivery guys knew it. Ottoman was cut when removing the plastic and the delivery guys knew it! Calling customer service is a nightmare. You can't get anyone local or at the store you purchase from. And they really don't care. I was really looking forward to a good place to buy decent furniture but I will never step foot in the store again. And I'm telling everyone to STAY AWAY! read more

Being a brand new store we had high hopes for Living Spaces. We were extremely excited after receiving great customer service at the store. Our purchases included a table and a sectional. Unfortunately, the chairs on the table were not properly put together leading to nails sticking out of the bottom and deeply scratching our new floor. The sectional had a cracked leg. We went through the process of purchasing an extra protection plan in order for the furniture to be fixed in case of any damage yet we have not been able to get a hold of anyone for the initial installation damages, I'm afraid the plan was purchased for nothing. We are constantly being told that "tickets are being made" and someone will come out to check and fix the issues yet no one has. This is extremely disappointing and not a positive way to start in a new city. This purchase was made mid October and it's almost the end of November and it is not resolved. We were excited to see the Thornton, Colorado location open for Living Spaces. The services was great - as we were sold on no hassle, any issues with your order are quickly resolved and easy delivery. The salespeople are friendly and eager to sell you any item in the store. We ordered a power reclining sofa and loveseat and they were delivered without a problem. When went to use the reclining sofa we heard a click as we lowered the sofa. A technician came out and diagnosed that the metal sofa frame was bent and broken. So, our sofa was delivered broken, and I received an email to replace the sofa however we would be charged a delivery fee for the new sofa, and we are responsible disposing the sofa that was delivered to us broken. They would not take the sofa that was delivered broken. I have spent hours on the phone with Living Spaces and now corresponding with customer service via email to exchange the sofa and at no cost to us as it was delivered broken. This company lacks communication as each time I call or correspond via email I get a different answer regarding the new sofa to be delivered. The no hassle policy is a hassle and now I have a new sofa ordered but it is backordered until late December to early January. Just hoping the sofa, we originally ordered and now to be replaced will actually come in on the time frame they are estimating (this is the second time frame for delivery on this back order). So disappointed with Living Spaces. They have given us a store credit for the inconvenience, but I don't want to go down that road again and purchase anything from this company. read more

Bought a sleeper sofa for my daughter in Aurora as a housewarming present. Salesman at store was told that the couch would go in a basement, and he said it would be no problem. They could take the legs off to get it downstairs. Daughter purchased the "Full-Service Delivery", which includes "placement of items in room of choice" and "assembly of item". Upon delivery the 2 delivery guys came in, measured the door opening, and announced they couldn't get the couch into the basement. The couch never even left the truck. They took it back to the warehouse. You would think a full refund would be coming, but no. The store is insisting we pay a $180 restocking fee, even though no "restocking" is required. The couch is still in its original packaging. The customer never saw it, never touched it, never had possession of it. IT'S A SCAM. 28 reviews on Yelp and they have a score of 1.2 stars. In February we purchased a dining room table and base, 6 chairs, and a buffet. The chairs and buffet were in stock so they were delivered first, about a week after we purchased. The table and base were supposed to be delivered about 4 weeks later which was fine. Two days before delivery I received both an email and a text confirming our delivery day. The morning before delivery I received both forms of communication stating that my delivery window was going to be between 12:30-3:30. Then that night, the day before delivery, I got a call that the table and base were discontinued and I could receive a refund. I thought it was a joke! I called the number listed on the message and it was obviously a call center because I could not understand the two people I spoke with. I found another number and a nice woman told me she would get someone at the store to call me to talk about finding another table that would match the set that I already had some pieces of. No one called the next day so my husband drove an hour (we live in Castle Rock) the day after to talk to someone. We really liked the set so he bought the floor model. I'm not happy with it because the table is lighter than the buffet probably from being out on the floor and we only received $100 off. The last straw was that he had to rent a Home Depot truck and go pick it up the next day- an hour away again! We will not be visiting this store again! read more

Their cash refund policy is bogus. They make the refund process impossible, because everything happens after the fact. They will only give you store credit. I bought two leather chairs that I loved; however, a little less than a month, the leather stretched so much, you could see my butt print. They gave me store credit, but wouldn't give me a refund cuz the refund policy is 7 days after delivery with a 25% restocking fee. I ordered new chairs with the in store credit & had them covered in a material I loved. When the chairs arrived, they were the same material, but different color from what I ordered. Once again, I couldn't get my money back, because the order had to be canceled before delivery with a 25% restocking fee. How do you know it's the wrong color til they're delivered? I was offered another store credit, but no refund. With this kind of service, I am disputing the charge with my credit card company. I will never shop at this company again. read more

Living Spaces advertises white glove service but doesn't honor what they advertise. They damaged a table because the delivery guy dumped it outside in front of the garage. The table was damaged as a result of this "white glove service." I have been trying to get my table delivered for two months and they still cannot guarantee a delivery time because they have to wait to see if it snows, yet Living Spaces delivers anywhere in the mountains. Living Spaces outsources to Pilot as their delivery company but they that can't get their trucks to the mountains. Living Spaces has given me the runaround, lied, and has left me with a damaged table that they refuse to let me return in person to a store, even though they can't deliver it to my house. They refuse to refund my money and there are no supervisors to speak with that have any common sense or commitment to customer service or honoring what they advertise. They do not even deserve a star, they are subpar. read more

Furniture selection was above average, sales people were friendly. However, no one explained their strange delivery system. They charged us $29 for delivery of a bookcase (across town). They called it something like, "doorstep" delivery but did not elaborate or warn us that no one would bring it inside (it's a medium sized bookcase). A few days before our scheduled delivery, I hurt my back and went online to see if I could get the piece brought all the way in the house where it belonged (i.e., "delivered" in everyone else's world). For another $70, I was able upgrade the delivery, bringing the total delivery cost to $95 - in line with other stores. On the day of delivery, they bring it in the house (still in the cardboard box) and put it in the entry. They said that I didn't opt for the "white glove" delivery (I did not notice this when I upgraded the delivery - apparently, for even more money, that is a service where they take it out of the box, place it in the correct location and take away the box...I.e., "delivery" in everyone else's world). This is the first, and now last, time I will shop at Living Spaces. read more

The shopping and interaction with the salesperson was great. From there it has been a disaster. Upon delivery they brought 2 incorrect items and the wrong screws to assemble the table with (not the delivery peoples mistake, they are contacted out and given what they are given by LS). I went thru the process of financing most of my purchase only to find out that they charged my credit card for the entire amount and are stating that there is nothing they can do about that. Don't be tricked or swayed by the delightful shopping experience, they are deceitful and inept when it comes to any post shopping experience. They do not have a direct line to their store, when you call you get corporate and they make a ticket and pass it on. Then someone from the store calls you ONE time, if you can't answer they do not call you back, you have to go back thru corporate and have them write another ticket. Just don't go. The customer service in store was fairly decent. I found the piece I wanted to purchase and they informed they could have it delivered and installed in less than a week. I was excited for the quick turnaround however, I got a call a day before the delivery date saying there was a mix up at the warehouse and delivery was pushed back 3 days. The day of delivery finally came which was on a Sunday. The text said it would be 245-545pm. The day went on and I received updates of our time being delayed and the last one said 745pm. I get a call at 730p from the delivery driver saying they have worked 14hrs already and are still 30min away from the house and would really appreciate if they could reschedule. I asked if I would be the first delivery on the books tomorrow then since they had such a long day, and he said I would be contacted first thing in the morning to schedule the time since they couldn't do that and had to put it back at the warehouse. 10am the next morning I called and of course I speak to someone who is sitting around an office full of other people answering phones instead of a worker at the warehouse or store itself. I explained the delivery driver's excuse and proceeded to be informed that my item was not in stock and the next delivery would be 30days out. I don't understand how the item could be out for delivery then non existent. After arguing with the "customer service" I asked to speak with a supervisor and was informed they had to create a ticket and one would get back to me in three business days. I called back and spoke with someone else who told me the same thing about speaking with a supervisor and tried making it seem like it was my fault the delivery driver didn't come do his job. Horrible customer service and they will not take care of you and make things right when they have clearly messed up! Even after taking out a line of credit with them! I purchased a couch and a pricey accent chair. The couch showed up on time but the chair never showed up. I was never given a receipt or email confirmation which I assumed would have been sent automatically. I didn't hear from anyone or receive any order updates on the chair that didn't arrive and had to go into the store to find out what was going on. They informed me it would not be coming even though they had already charged my card but I could take the floor model for the same price to "make up" for their mistake. I told them this was unacceptable as I had purchased a new chair that 1000's of people had not sat their butts on or kicked off their shoes and curled their bare feet into (saw this happen multiple times) At this point, they offered a discount of an additional 50 bucks. $1200 dollar chair they sold me brand new but since they can't deliver the new one they will give me 50 bucks off for the used, dirty, damaged version on their floor with crumbs all over it and make you come pick it up too?? Seriously lacking in common sense if they can't see why this is horrible customer service. The manager finally came to show her face after hours of waiting for someone to help me. She talked down to me like I was expecting something from another planet because I wanted some basic customer service. Trust me, you won't find it at Living Spaces in Thornton if ANYTHING goes wrong with your purchase!! They refuse to actually help you when you are standing their after hours of waiting for help and the MANAGER says in a snarky way that "you have to come back anyway to pick it up" because they couldn't process the exchange/payment when I was there after waiting for over an hour. Very Very poor choice of words and no common sense there. I was already frustrated for all of my wasted time even having to come back into the store and inquire about the furniture that never showed up and then they tell me in order to purchase their dirty, damaged, floor model I have to come back in the morning? The snarky manager says, "I have to come back anyway" Why would you say this when I originally purchased a new chair and paid for it to be delivered so I shouldn't be in your store at all! I wasn't planning on being the one to come back and pick it up. They do not care one bit about wasting your time. The employees are friendly but the manager is rude and has no customer service skills. Now I have a couch that I can't return and their credit card. read more
