From the moment I walked in, the environment was peaceful, welcoming, and full of positive, zen energy. Trina was the staff member who guided me through everything, and she was absolutely incredible. As a complete novice to these types of treatments, I was a little nervous, but Trina went above and beyond to make sure I felt informed, comfortable, and truly taken care of. The Full Body Cleanse included Electro-Lymphatic Therapy, which helped stimulate my lymphatic system and reduce inflammation; Colon Hydrotherapy, which flushed out waste and left me feeling lighter and more energized; an Infrared Sauna session that helped me sweat out toxins and deeply relax; and 20 minutes of Whole Body Vibration, which boosted circulation and muscle recovery. So I'm super bummed that La Jolla Wellness Center has closed. I was holding out hoping they'd reopen. This place offers an open system colonic which is really the only way to go. Although the Libbe isn't the Angel of Water, it's still very similar. I arrived at 10am for my appointment and was given 3 pages of paperwork which was definitely not needed as I've been getting colonics regularly for 7 years. Linda took me a private room but the it's a shared space. It seems it took awhile for the water to get flowing good to cleanse me out. My m by the time things started moving good my 45 minutes were up. I paid $425 for a package of 5. This isn't the one on one intimate sessions I'm used to but I enjoy getting cleansed out. My husband and I went to the Living Water Rejuvenation Center for a full body cleanse, and we were both pleasantly surprised at everything we learned about how important it is to care for our gut health and lymphatic system. Trina took the time to explain step by step exactly what she was doing throughout the entire process, but also informed us of how each service was cleansing our bodies of toxins. She made sure we were comfortable and understood why we were getting each service done. She was so knowledgeable and extremely passionate about helping us kickstart this journey! The whole process was so interesting. We could physically see the toxins leaving our bodies through our feet in the ion foot detox. She explained that the toxins come out as different colors depending on what is leaving the body. We could feel how the electro-lymphatic massage was working by how easily it was run over our skin, and she would work on areas that with clogged lymph drains until there was improvement. The colon hydrotherapy was done on the LIBBE, which helped to clean out our gut, and was extremely user friendly for first timers like we both were. Finally, the whole body vibration and the infrared sauna helped to complete the detox of the other services. We would definitely go back again and have been encouraging our friends and loved ones to look into going, as well. First, Herlinda was kind, professional, patient & did I mention kind?! I have SLE aka Lupus & my digestive track gets crazy sometimes but it's NEVER been this bad. I haven't been able to "go" for 13 days!! So much pain, feeling like bloated 6 day old road kill. I even went to the ER & a follow up with the Dr. NONE OF THEM offered help, relief or pain meds.... "Just hydrate, drink miralax & let us know" Anyway, I was truly desperate. My friend had done a colon hydration therapy & I was ready for ANY relief! FOR EAR CONING ONLY: I get bad sinus conditions every now and again and need to get my ears coned. Ever heard of it? It's amazing. Sometimes I actually feel like I'm going deaf from clogged up ear wax. (Sorry, not very sexy but physiologically necessary.) When I go to an M.D., they look in your ears with that little pointed thingy and tell you you don't have ear wax. Then you go have your ears coned and plugs of wax come out. The treatment is very simple and relaxing. They put a bees's wax cone (sanitary; comes out of wrapped package) just inside the ear canal, they light the upper end, and hold the cone while it burns down. When they remove it, they push out the wax from one end and you can see the results. If you don't eat a lot of dairy products, you probably don't have a problem. But if you have chronic sinus, and/or if you eat a lot of dairy, it would probably help to have your ears coned. I liked Roxanne, she had pleasant conversation and she has been doing this for over 25 years. I didn't know they DID this procedure that long ago, but she said her family has been with alternative medicine for a long time. I have to take off one star because the place was a little stuffy and the room was a little cramped. But I will go back, right in my hood, a needed procedure. read more
