My personal experience at New U was terrible. I came here to use infrared sauna, as the concept is excellent and prices seem good for what you get. I ended up with a package for sauna, chamber, and occasional training. I was told my goals would be reviewed with me from day 1, which is absolutely crucial to success with regard to training-- yet no one ever got around to it, even after I mentioned it twice. One of the front desk people (which 4/5ish were super friendly and kind) told me I didn't need to use up all my passes in 6 months, which gave me some breathing room to book things a little lighter in my schedule. Turns out not only was she wrong, but zero leeway was granted by the owner for the misinformation. One of the chambers broke while I was there, making it even harder to book time around a normal working person's schedule. (The hours of operation are exclusively for retired people. Forget it if you work, the stress about just trying to make it in given they aren't open weekends and are closed early Fridays and many holidays overrides the benefit.) I didn't use up all my sessions in time within the six months given the bad information, so who knows how much I paid per session in the end, but the savings was not worth it compared to other health gyms after factoring in the stress. I thought there might be some redemption for all the awful/dishonest communication when told by the owner that because of the chamber situation they could make an exception to go past my allotted time. Nope, she changed her mind. Lastly, I think the sauna machines are outdated and need to be upgraded. Often times either a sauna light was out or I accidentally burned myself on the claustrophobic chamber if I bent my knee too much. I was never told there was a legit wooden infrared sauna until one of the people working there mentioned they used it 4.5 months into my program. I switched to using that one but got annoyed vibes from the owner that her new app didn't properly book it in her system. Don't get me started on the system. Getting several texts per day confirming different appointments from different people who all had different information was laughable and a regular waste of significant time. As a result, they frequently got appointment times wrong. The saving grace here was my trainer who has a fantastic attitude and sense of humor and class instructor, who will work you super hard in her abs and buns class-- precisely what I needed and expect from a health facility. The front people they hired in the end of my time were attentive, sweet, and good communicators, so for their sake I hope this place has a major turnaround. read more

I like the idea of the place and the services they offer. However, I haven't had the best success . My main goal was to use the oxygen chamber, I signed up almost 3 months ago and used that treatment twice the first week. The machine has been out to service for 2 1/2 months now. One Saturday I waited for the place to open for my 9am treatments and finally left when no one showed up. Now, Maurice did call me shortly after to say there were open. I saw an ad for this place and it took me a year to make an appt. I was there yesterday. This place has the perfect name- it is a center for wellness. I was very impressed with how friendly the members were. This place is different and unlike any place, ​I have been. The prices are affordable and many services offered. I have read research on: Infrared​ Suana, hyperbaric chamber, detox foot soak, vibration therapy and lymphatic drainage (which they all offer). This place is focused on wellness and for many health is difficult. This goes beyond weight, for many, ​it is about fighting autoimmune diseases and cancer.
