I went in 2 weeks ago for ear candling with Christina. She severely burnt my inner ear. I have had a head ache ever since, ear pain and ringing in my ear. I called and left a message to discuss the situation and never got a return call. I saw my primary doctor who has referred me to a ear specialist who is booked up until Nov. Right now I am sitting in Urgent Care waiting to be seen because it's not getting any better. I drove 45 mins. to get here on a Saturday. I haven't been able to sleep due to the throbbing noise in my ear. The pain has been terrible, Advil barely touches it. I have contacted a lawyer incase I have permanent ear damage. I've been receiving colonics at this location for 15 years. I signed up as a monthly member receiving 2 colonics a month. Recently the owner decided to increase the monthly rate. When I purchased thought is was for the life of the membership. Well, the owner increased the rate but never sent an email stating there was a increase. I figured she just thought no one would notice. I complained and threatened an attorney. Well the owner took my membership away. Now after 15 years I'm no longer able to get a colonic. Let me be the first to say that I was so, so scared and nervous to try colonics! I remember having a similar, but different kind of procedure with ozone air through the colon. It was so uncomfortable and unnatural for me that I had a strong fear of ever trying colonics. However, due to worsening health issues, I just had to take the plunge on my sister's recommendation of this center with Jodi. I can't thank her enough! Jodi has played such a huge role in my healing journey and I always feel comfortable coming to her. My first time I was definitely nervous, but she had great tips and techniques to walk me through the process. Here are some things I do to help my sessions run smoothly: 1. The first time, I got to this center about 20 minutes before my appointment. I walked up and down the street and around the building to kind of ease my mind and get used to the location and just repeated to myself all the benefits of taking care of myself this way. 2. I come in fasting on my appointments. For me, it helps with less gas being prevalent throughout the experience. 3. On the first day, When I came into the room with my gown on, I laid on the table in a stretched position so that I could tell my body, "It's okay to relax here." 4. I prepared a calm worship Spotify playlist to gently play in the background during my colonic. This helped whenever I had a tummy ache. Jodi also gives you a little massager to put on your stomach to relax any aches that come. 5. I know this one is interesting, but wearing my favorite and comfy socks helps you feel more comfortable on the table. :) 6. If I ever had a stomach ache that persisted even after the colonic, Jodi has this amazing essential oil that once you take it, your stomach ache literally disappears within a few minutes. It's amazing! So, if you're nervous and overly anxious like me, have no fear! This process is amazing for you and really does your body such a wonder! If you are having digestive issues and are debating a colonic, please just do it and book with Jodi. She has been amazing at helping me with my IBS-C / chronic constipation. I went to her after my Dr suggested antidepressants for my constipation. I declined them but the dr gave me laxatives and after taking them for 7 days with no bowel movement I knew it was time to get a colonic. I'm so glad I did, several treatments later and I'm finally getting to the root cause and feeling so much lighter and happier. My sister and I came here for our first colonic. We saw Jodi. She's amazing. She made the whole experience very comfortable and professional and is very informative. I was nervous about the treatment but once we got started I loved it. I have battled constipation my whole life. I have been going to Jodi for 2.5 years now. My life has been changed since coming here! I have had digestive issues as a child. Was hospitalized when I was 9 for what seemed like appendicitis but in fact was volvulus or looping of my intestine that then became dead tissue so needed surgery and had it cut out. I have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and extended colon, basically longer loops of intestines that caused the volvulus. I was in so much pain and inflammation the past few years especially after a bout of antibiotics for taking wisdom teeth out that threw me on a spiral.
