As soon as I walked in I just got a good vibe- the walls are painted this nice teal color, like the color of a tropical ocean- it's really decorated like a place that is named "Beach Ready" and it just puts you at ease. Although, it's kind of hidden in that strip mall, I drove past it my first time, but once you find it you're good to go. I got my brows done by Kim- she did an incredible job! I just wanted a clean up to make my brows look put together again and she just did amazing, got them all tweezed and trimmed and I am just so happy with them. Kim was just the sweetest gal, we had a good flow of conversation the whole time and it didn't feel forced, it was just nice and enjoyable. It was also super easy to make an appointment online through their website, and you can put your credit card info on their before you even go for a visit and then they will just charge your card after you go, and you don't even have to worry about bringing payment with you, which is so nice. I haven't gotten any of the other waxes done here, but the brow appointment only took about 15 minutes including filling out the beginning information, so it's a super quick, easy process as well. I had a dip mani done a few days before I went on vacation. I like to get dip because it usually lasts about 2 weeks for me, and I like the color options. My nails looked ok. A little thick, but ok. Well, 2 days later, I lost the polish on TWO nails, just doing mundane day-to-day things. I called the salon and they told me to come in. The same guy that did the original, did the 'repairs.' Things were fine. My repaired nails were tender- but I thought maybe it was due to the extra buffing. They held up ok, on my 9 day vacation. When I went back to work, I lost a most of polish on my right ring finger-- I could NOT believe what I saw-- my fingernail was GREEN!! What the actual ----?!?! Is it a FUNGUS?! My polish was on for less than 14 days total. (For the record, I have kept polish on my toes much longer without any issues). This should NOT have happened. Bad technique??? Bad cleaning practices??? Well, whatever it is- needless to say, I will not be back to this shop. Period. I removed all of the polish and attempted to buff off the green on the one nail. This was 5 weeks ago and my poor, sad, tormented nails are still trying to recover.

I went with the Airbrush Tan, but they also offer a booth spray tan (I just don't trust myself yet). They send you home with a pamphlet and lots of useful information if you're a newbie like me. They also offer teeth whitening. Pricing is very reasonable. I got 3 Airbrush tanning sessions for only $99, which is much cheaper than I expected. They offer lots of add-ons and great discounts if you refer other guests to Mandalay. You can also book your appointments online which makes it super easy!

Gina sprayed me both times I came in and was very meticulous, checking to make sure my tan was perfect. I loved the color and it even stayed on over a week , which I was not expecting. You can also add on hydration which I did and they spray you with a PH balancing spray. Rapid tan is another add on which significantly reduces the time before you shower. The fade of the color was slow and not obvious which was a huge plus. I look forward to going to Mandalay Mist for another perfect tan.
