I had a dip mani done a few days before I went on vacation. I don't routinely have my nails done- so this was brand new- it had been more than a year since I last had my nails even painted- so this was basically a 'virgin' experience. I like to get dip because it usually lasts about 2 weeks for me, and I like the color options. My nails looked ok. A little thick, but ok. Well, 2 days later, I lost the polish on TWO nails, just doing mundane day-to-day things. I called the salon and they told me to come in. The same guy that did the original, did the 'repairs.' Things were fine. My repaired nails were tender- but I thought maybe it was due to the extra buffing. They held up ok, on my 9 day vacation. When I went back to work, I lost a most of polish on my right ring finger-- I could NOT believe what I saw-- my fingernail was GREEN!! What the actual ----?!?! Is it a FUNGUS?! My polish was on for less than 14 days total. (For the record, I have kept polish on my toes much longer without any issues). This should NOT have happened. Bad technique??? Bad cleaning practices??? Well, whatever it is- needless to say, I will not be back to this shop. Period. I removed all of the polish and attempted to buff off the green on the one nail. This was 5 weeks ago and my poor, sad, tormented nails are still trying to recover. read more

WARNING: If you don't like your nails DON'T leave and come back a different day and ask for a different tech for fix them because they WILL charge you for the service again even though someone is fixing another tech's work. I came in for a gel pedicure and fill-in at 4:30 on Thursday, March 14th. The pedicure was fine but the fill-in was horrible. Lily did both and she didn't seem to know how to do acrylic very well, but I let her do her thing. Once she was done filling and shaping, the acrylic was super thick and had gaps so big that I could have stuck my nail under it and ripped the entire nail off. The acrylic was also yellow. I showed her the issues and she wasn't quite understanding so Chloe came over and tried to translate for me and Lily continued working. By the time she "fixed" my nails, it was 6:45 (15 minutes past closing) and she didn't give me an opportunity to look at them or speak up, so I just let her paint them so I could hurry up and leave. The nails were still bad (see pictures), but at this point, it had taken her an hour and a half to only fill and shape, and then 15 minutes to paint, and I had been there for over 2 hours. I ended up leaving the shop at 7:05 extremely unhappy, but I figured I would just come back the next week and have them fix it. I came back today to do just that and asked if a different tech could do it, so Chloe ended up fixing them. They turned a million times better and I'm really happy with them. When I went to leave, I tried to just tip Chloe for her work because I figured I wouldn't be paying for the service. Surprise! I was expected to pay for the service, even though I just wanted my last fill-in done at the same shop fixed! The shop's reasoning for me having to pay is that since I didn't ask the original tech to fix their work, I had to pay the new tech. I told them I didn't want the original tech fixing the fill-in because she obviously couldn't get it right the first time, and the shop told me that I still should have had the original tech do it, then complain and have a new tech do it. That makes literally zero sense because not only would I be wasting hours of my time, I would be wasting two different tech's times!! And by that logic, would I have had to pay both techs for one service on the same day? I eventually got them down from $43 to $25, but still!! I paid TWICE for the same service!! That's extremely bad business and customer service to not only let someone leave with bad work, but then make them pay to get it fixed. All in all, I'll keep coming back here because the girls who do know how to do nails do them really well, but I will most definitely keep them way past closing time to guarantee I leave happy. Lily does great pedicures, and Chloe does great fill-ins, so just be wary and speak up if you're not happy. read more

I don't like the acrylic laid too thick and I usually notice imperfections. She took her time and I didn't feel rushed out, even though they had a steady flow of customers. I had first ever manicure here, walking in, the area opening to a large manicure area (several pedicures ongoing in back). I was a little embarrassed at not knowing what to do or what to ask for and not given any introductory support. Was assigned a nice but meek, untalkative manicurist, perhaps not solid with English. She'd point, I'd put fingers in a bowl, she'd raise my hand and push cuticles. I didn't know so many things were done. She buffed out some creases, did great job on cuticles & tiny clippings (only one hurt). I asked for clear polish (chicken) for the first time, and received some sort of first clear layer. She was efficient and seemed to get friendlier. She asked if I wanted an eyebrow wax, I figured may as well. Went to a crowded small room (not pleasant, more like a hoarder's room) and laid down on like a surgical bed. LOL. It was a wax & rip type thing. Only hurt for a 2nd, only $12 and definitely an improvement. Nails were $22. Wish I got a lesson polish vs gel, etc or saw a price list. She said my nails would last a week if I didn't move, two for most people. I hated the first 2-3 days smelling like polish and they lasted 2-3 weeks. I enjoyed them while they lasted but did not get "hooked" on the process or the "stylin'". With nothing to compare it to, I think it was a good job. But certainly no marketing for future business with no conversation. read more

First of all, an appointment was made for 2 pedicures. We originally wanted 12, and then the lady asked if we could come at 1 instead. Secondly, we arrived and sat in the chair for over 25 mins before someone came to service me. A white lady walked right in and was serviced right away. Thirdly, the lady tried to argue with me about the shape of my toenails. They did a poor job with scrubbing and removing callus. The owner tried to argue with me and tell me I had to pay extra. I told him I wasn't. Lastly, they're supposed to be sanitizing and wiping down the stations after each use, and we witnessed them sitting people in unclean seats. The 2 people I came in contact with was so rude and argumentative. I will NEVER return back to this salon for multiple reasons. -10/10 do not recommend read more

I came here in the late afternoon and did not have a wait. The massage chair was amazing but sadly that's where the praise ends. My entire pedicure felt rushed. I asked when checking out how long the pedicures normally are and I was told 30 mins is normal for their $30 essential pedicure. The service is greatly overpriced for what you receive. The nail tech I had was ok but I had to ask her to go back and paint the edges of my nails that she missed. I don't mind if someone has to redo a little something, after all we all can miss little things, but she was clearly annoyed I asked her to fix my nails. My second visit to this salon, and my last. Came in for an acrylic fill in with gel polish. I believe my tech was named andy. He was very curt the entire time, sighing like my very existence was a burden to him - he had to add a tip fix one of my nails and he put it on angled all the way forward, so my nail is now tilting upward and looks bizarre. The polish is bubbly with little air bubbles all over. At the end he said "wash" and then got up and walked away leaving me just sitting there until I got up to wash my hands. No acknowledgement that he was done, nothing. $46 plus tip for a mediocre job that I'm really unhappy with. Got charged extra for coffin shape (which i wanted) and my nails are square. Getting my nails done is virtually the only luxury i allow myself and now I'm stuck with ugly nails for a few weeks. Don't recommend. read more

I have been to this salon 3 times to get dip manicures. The first time was amazing. I had Rose and she did perfect! The manicure was so neat, but unfortunately I have not had the same experience the 2 other visits. This past visit I got dip French tips and they are just very sloppy. He did not care to fix them at all. I've had them done for 10 days and most of them are cracked, one of them has a huge piece completely broken off. I have been a loyal customer since they opened for business. During this quarantine I've (like most of us) looked forward to getting that first pedicure after two months without. I went today for a manicure and pedicure and ordered the $90 RED CARPET treatment. The tech gave 1/2 her effort - did minimal on the massage and skipped several steps like the 10 minute hand massage and the longer foot/leg massage that the RED CARPET calls for. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they offered me a $10 discount. They disregarded that I paid $90 for a subpar pedicure that I could have got for $60. I asked them to please reconsider and make it right, but they refused and told me it was okay to lose the business from a family of 4. Looks like my daughters and I will not be back. I walked in and they immediately greeted me and there was no wait. A lot of people already being taken care of. The tech that would be taking care of me greeted me at the door and waited for me to pick my color. What really surprised me was the massage/pedi chairs. They are too of the line nice nice chairs. Massage from chair is very relaxing and feels amazing. The nail tech made me feel even more relaxed by giving me a hot towel to wrap around my neck. There are a few really good nail techs there, that's why I went back. However, most of them there do not care about hurting you or being safe and using clean tools. On the 28th of June I had my nails done by Maya at Noire Spa and Nails. My nails were pretty but a little thin. On the 30 of June one of my nails cracked on my way to the Airport. I filed it down as it was close to the top... throughout the week after doing normal activities of daily living I began to notice that my other nails were cracking by the 6th of July. I called Noire to inform them of what was happening, I sent photos to confirm and show them as I was out of town and not going to be home for another week. I was contacted by a manager who stated that I could come in to have Maya redo my nails at no additional cost as this should not have happened so quickly. I was pleased. I went in to have my nails redone, when I went to leave, I was told I had to pay half of the service as it had been two weeks since I had received the 1st service, I explained that the 1st service was done poorly and happened within the first week of having the service done, but that I was out of town for a total of two weeks and therefore could not come back until I returned to FL. I tried to explain what I was told by the manager, but unfortunately she was not there and there were 3 people at the register and two sitting behind me... I was forced to pay, for half a service despite the agreement made. I called back to speak to that manager and was informed that Maya did not want to work for free, and the owners were not willing to make this right despite to poor service that was provided and the agreement made. This company does not operate in integrity or good character or good customer service. I left there very upset. I will share with everyone I know in Lakeland not to do business with a company that provides poor service and even worse customer service skills. I will not return back and would recommend anyone to not do business with this company. If I could rate this company a 00000 I would. Never again! read more

I have gone to this business for over a year, always had a great experience with Emily. I had dip done to my nails a week ago, and realized the girl who did them (not my normal nail tech) did not do them correctly. Within 5 days 4 nails broke and the top coat was chipping or spiderwebbed all over all my nails. I went in on day 8 and needed them redone, they looked that bad. The owner barely looked at them and then said he would offer a 20% discount to start over. if you don't know what you'd like for your 'dip nails', this is the place! ask for 'nail doctor' johnny. he doesn't know either! ha! he came across to me, as a philipino (or is that with an "F") homosexual. very emotional and a little clueless. half the time i couldn't get an edge wise to his random and often repetitive questions. i wanted the power dip (pardon me, i meant powder dip) nail service and although i thought i was clear in my request, he made it complicated, but as i hear, most gays are. that's okay. some people are just special. still, he was adamant in asking me what i wanted when i had already told him. i picked a beautiful wine color for pedi but he was compelled and asked if i wanted the ugly coral pink instead. this went on for at least five minutes. shortly thereafter, he handed me a menu and suggested i go with the 'cheaper' pedi so i can save $18.00 and then, he offered to help me with my legs inside the pedi basin as he painfully pinched my leg-shin (pardon me i meant tibia) i had to stop another nail tech and asked that she translate for me because dr. johnny did not understand. there was obviously a language barrier among other common grounds and it was noted by myself and others in the salon that we did not click. yet still, i was patient with nail tech, dr.johnny. the engagement ring finger (pardon me, i meant RING finger) was, i hope, inadvertently cut and it hurt. he continued to rant and tell me that my cuticles were dry but he failed to admit that it was he who planted too much powder and glue hence, the dry cuticles. i don't blame dr.johnny for all that he lacked 2nd time around, i could tell he was under a lot of pressure from white morbidly obese people, women and some spanish and hindu ones too. i was surprise not to see black people. perhaps they don't get their nails DONE often. or perhaps i'll see one at walmart behind me online again prompting the white cashier to 'pass some random and evil passive message' to me, instead. moving forward, these women where somehow prompting dr.johnny to behave in a manner that he would most probably would not have behaved should these strange women whom were in the mix and in my space, my boundary, not sabotage nail-tech dr.johnny because what it seemed to me, their personal and sick agendas in the city of lakeland, florida, among other cities, which has been going on for many years, made nail-tech johnny uncomfortable. sadly, johnny now represents gays to be unstable, lost, easy to manipulate, and does not come across as an adult but more like a mentally challenge kid. sticking to the subject at hand, made me want to smack me an insecure coward or two----handmade. but let's be honest, they're not worth it. i wouldn't want go to gel (pardon me, i meant jail) for the first time for the silly sht, "professionals" are willing to go through and set me up for failure even at a nail salon because they do not have nor can't control an adult woman, such as myself. still, at end of day and $103.00 later for pedi and mani, plus a $10.00 tip, i'm still an individual living a wonderful life, pissing off stupid people, because i refuse to be just like them, one person at a time. next time i'll make an appointment with henry instead. which might be his chosen american name, nevertheless, i'll choose to see who i decide to see. sincerely, get over IT. read more
