The Christmas return policy is terrible. My 87 year old mother bought me gloves there with the wrong initial and I was not allowed to return or exchange today! They only would return through the 4th! and my mother didn't give me the receipt until the then and when I went to the store on the 5th the unhelpful woman asked me if I knew someone with an 'N' I could give them to. I will never go back and have told my friends about the situation. Never shop at Ivy Lane! read more

Cute shop, friendly staff, tons of clothes and Knick knacks. They do have a fitting room and staff was super into being helpful and helping you decide on what looks good. My only downside was they don't have much over a size 8 (medium). So if you happen to be a large (size10) or more, good luck finding clothes here. But for smaller sizes it is a great place to shop. read more

I would like to thank Ivy Lane for being the not to go to store. My wife has been shopping and buying there for years. A week ago she took a top back. The lady said we have a two week return policy. It was just a few days past and still had the tags. She asked if she could just exchange it or get a gift card and was told ABSOLUTELY NOT. Because of your unprofessional actions that the customer is NEVER right you lost a long time customer not to mention all the friends she is telling. Ivy Lane is my go to place for presents. They have a lovely selection of home goods, jewelry, and clothing and do such a great job with wrapping. If you tell them it's a present they will mark out the price for you, add a gift receipt, and package it up in an ivy lane bag with a bow and everything. The price point is a little higher than most, but remember that they are doing all the wrapping for you! If you go for Christmas the wrapping is even more impressive. I have shopped at Ivy Lane for several years. I try to support locally owned and operated businesses. It's been my go to for nice jewelry gifts. Their merchandise is pricey, but I trade the priciness for convenience. They have a nice selection of giftware and jewelry. Their clothing is very overpriced. I've never seen any clothing larger than a size large. Not all East Cobb women are petite. Ivy Lane's biggest deficit is their customer service. It is cliquish and judgmental. I have been looked at and had a back turned on me. My questions and requests for help have been ignored. They have, on more than one occasion, stood at the register and mumbled or whispered while looking directly at me. It is reminiscent of middle school. This behavior is from the adults, not the teenagers working there. When I posted my frustration on social media, I was surprised by how many people had the same experience as I did. Because of the customer service situation, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I hope that in the future, they will train their employees to treat everyone with courtesy and respect. read more

Love that this gem is just up the road from my house. They have a great selection of gifts for the home, jewelry (a Kendra Scott and Alex + Ani selection), collegiate finds, and they even have clothes (Free People, among other fun brands!). The clothing is pricey, but nothing more than what you'd pay full price at Macy's or any other boutique carrying the same brands. It's also a bit tight and hard to see everything in stock. You have to be in the mood to dig. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that the customer service is hit or miss. I've been in a few times in the past few months, and I've had very pleasant experiences all the way to being completely ignored. I will say when I asked if they had a specific item in stock (maybe in the back?) the associate told me everything was out. I was in the store a couple of days later, and the exact item I needed was magically there. That was a little frustrating as the opportunity to gift the item had passed, and they could have just checked to make sure they didn't have it when I asked. Oh well. read more

Having lived in East Cobb for a long time, I was looking forward to Ivy Lane being a regular favorite boutique of mine. It's a very cute store, and though a bit pricey I have seen a few hidden gems. Unfortunately, the lack of customer service, being ignored by staff, and even rude looks I have gotten the times I have been there, have deterred me from purchasing anything. I might give it another try or two in the future with hope that my experience will be better, but my hopes for this being a go to boutique of mine have long since been dashed. read more

I used to buy off Amazon or nicer thrift stores but the quality of the clothing here has won me over. Every time they restock I am there just to see what they've got. Location is in the old Hallmark Gold Store in the Publix shopping center at Sandy Plains and Shallowford and honestly, they've done very little to the layout or most of the merchandise other than take out the Hallmark cards. Some cute items - very unique gift type things but on the pricey side. I could tolerate that were it not for the complete rudeness of the staff and owners. I stopped by Ivy Lane on opening weekend and thought about writing a review then because I wasn't impressed. I figured I would wait for them to get established before doing so. I have come back a few times since they first opened and each time its better. They have a lot more merchandise now and it is much better organized. They have clothes and accessories, items for the home and baby items. Some of the name brands they carry are Vera Bradley and Divinci Beads. They also have some collegiate and high school gear for local schools for those who are into school spirit. This is a great place to go if you are shopping for a gift for someone who is hard to shop for. There is such a variety of merchandise in one place that you are bound to find something. I like their home stuff the best and this is a great place to get a hostess or housewarming gift. I found the perfect little gift for a friend and I cannot wait to give it to her. If you are in the area stop by - you won't be disappointed! There is a lot to look at so plan on spending awhile browsing around. I would like to start off this review by saying that I have shopped at Ivy Lane on multiple occasions and every time I have left with great product and great customer service. The age range of sales associates is between 18-50 which is great for different customer markets. I can go in and have a sales associate who I can relate to and so can my mother. The products that Ivy Lane carries is great and targets the clientele for the area as well as for surrounding areas. You can find Vera Bradley, Kate Spade (home and office), Lilly Pulitzer, Southern Tide, Jadelynn Brooke, and so much more. They also sell the candles that Antropologie burns in their store, which is great because I can get my favorite candle with out traveling the distance to an Anthropologie store. They also have a wide variety of clothing that is so very cute, and great for back to school or even work! All in all the customer service at Ivy Lane is wonderful, the girls that work there always make sure you get what you need and they talk to you and build relationships with you! I have gone in countless times and seen a friendly face that wants to help me in buying the perfect gift! I am so happy to have such a great store just around the corner from me! read more

Ivy lane is located right next to Bath and Body Works and Publix on Sandy Plains Rd. I stopped by Publix to purchase yogurt and wondered into the Ivy Lane. It is a super cute little shop that kind of has a bit of everything. There are Vira Bradley items (great because I was shopping for Mother's Day), baby clothes, jewelry, women's clothes, and other housewares and decorations. The layout of the store was easy to maneuver and find what you are looking for. The fashions were really colorful and bright which is perfect for the Summer. I honestly, didn't really go that deep into the clothes racks but there did seem to be a few really cute dresses. The prices were on the upper end of fair. Not a great bargain but definitely won't break the bank. My favorite part was the dessert counter in the middle of the store. Chocolates and macaroons are always a great reason to go into a store in my opinion. The nice and staff were super helpful and nice, they just opened a few weeks ago but I definitely think they are here to stay. It is definitely worth stopping in. I read more

I went in today and got dirty looks from the older employees there while I walked around and shopped. I've shopped Ivy Lane 5 different times to date. I kept going back hoping that my experience was just a fluke. No such luck. Although they DO have a lot of cute merchandise and it's nice to have a little gift shop in such a convenient location, I will not be back due to the unbelievably snotty attitude of the staff! Every time I have been to Ivy Lane I have been treated as if they are doing ME a favor by being there. There is ZERO customer service. Overall they act as if customers are an aggravation. I've never experienced anything quite like it and I'm honestly not sure how this store is staying in business. Most of the other YELP reviews express the same exact concern so I know it's not "just me". I'm very disappointed as I would love to support a locally owned business; especially a business owned and operated by a woman. But either the woman who owns it has no idea what is going on in her own store OR she's in the wrong business. If she's smart she'll either retrain or fire her entire staff. As a side note ... twice I've purchased items here that once I got home noticed they were USED. A little wrought iron garden flag post that had scratches and dried mud all over the bottom of it and a table runner that had a stain on it. read more

I purchased a Jim Shore Santa as a gift at full price before Christmas and when checking out asked the clerk for a gift receipt which she provided - she never mentioned that it could not be returned. Today, when I tried to return it and even showed the manager the gift receipt that i was provided, she refused to refund or provide store credit. The receipt did have a note at the bottom that said sale and holiday items are final, but I should have been told this before I made the purchase and especially when I requested a gift receipt. I absolutely love this store! I find something every time I go into shop. I have found great gift items. I love the clothes for both myself and my daughter. Their jewelry is fantastic! The store owner is very nice and I have had nothing but pleasant interactions from the individuals who work their. I have never had anyone treat me rudely or be unkind in this shop. In fact, quite the opposite. Everyone has been helpful, smiled and helped me find items I was looking for. The prices may not be the cheapest, but the quality is great and the convenience of not having to go all the way to the mall is greatly appreciated. My review is purely based on customer service at this store. The store is adorable and a great place to buy a gift. However, every time I go into this store I am snubbed by the young girls that work there. No one even acknowledges me. My last visit to the store was on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 8:00pm. The girl who checked me out was herself checked out. She did not say hello, did you find what you needed, NOTHING! She finished the transaction, I SAID THANK YOU (nicely), she turned her back and just stood there. This is pretty much what happens when I go into this store. I want to support our local small businesses as much as possible, but I am tired of being treated as though I am not welcomed. I have been to Ivy Lane about 5 or 6 times over the past year. They are very consistent however they are consistently unfriendly and hugely lacking in any kind of customer service. I instantly have memories of middle school standing outside a clique of girls talking amongst themselves with the occasional "I am better than you" look. Every time I go I tell myself that I will not go back however I try to believe in change and improvement and they do have cute things when you are looking for something unique and special. The majority of the time I don't really pay attention to the customer service service because I like to slowly browse however a "hello" is nice. Ivy Lane is so small and so packed full of items, there is no way the group of women chatting loudly amongst themselves in the center of the store about how exhausted they are because they are "here ALL the time!!!" can miss seeing the customers. I had 3 sales ladies make direct eye contact with me and say nothing. Not even a half smile. I'm sure in a few more months I will try again and i will absolutely come back and amend this review if the experience changes! Hopefully they can go from a 1 to 5 stars! read more

This past weekend I went to Ivy Lane for the first time. Not one of the 3 young girls working greeted me or anyone else who came in. I also passed one of the girls in the aisle and she still didn't greet me. Although there was a lot to look at, everything looked like it came from Lovely Street, World Market or Lizard Thicket, nothing was original and also seemed well over priced. I strolled through all the 'bama'/auburn' and lilly pultizer I could handle, not impressed. As I headed for the door I noticed the 3 young girls hovering over the counter texting so I walked out with even being noitced the entire 20 mins. Ivy Lane may work in a different area, but I wasn't impressed with the prices $$$. All the variety seems to be hit or miss, unless your into Sports or Vera Bradley. I've been in several times and just never been moved to buy more than one thing at a time. Trust me I was looking, sad thing is there are better prices on same items on eBay or Amazon. And candy in the showcase could not possibly be fresh....just feels like leftovers from the old Hallmark Store that went out of business. The staff does seem friendly, to each other, they didn't acknowledge I was there as a consumer, they were talking to each other each time I came in and didn't seem to have much knowledge about the products, very young staff. I may go back to see if anything gets better, but I would not expect this store to make it. read more

We should be spreading the word and bringing our friends to this woman owned business not nit picking every little detail. I commend the owner for bringing at least 25 jobs to our community and employing teenagers who compete with adults now for summer work. I have been in Ivy Lane a few times in the past and the store looks like a thrift or consignment store. But what happened yesterday is why I will not ever shop there again. I overheard one of the employees telling another employee to put a price tag on a top that she had worn the day before. So are you telling me I am buying clothes that have already been worn? Should I be washing what ever I buy before I wear it just in case one of the employees wore it while working? Is that even legal? read more

Ok-I have to say that I will never spend another dollar in this store. They have cute stuff but the staff couldn't be ruder! We live very close to the store and I went in last week and I noticed that this woman seemed to be following me around the store. Keep in mind I am a 44 year old mom and don't have a suspicious or sketchy look about me but she obviously thought I was trying to take something. Went back in this week to get a pair of cute shorts for my daughter and a God Bless America star for my door, I asked the same woman to help me with getting the star off the front door and I thought she was going to get it only to find out she completely ignored me! I also asked a young girl to help us find a shirt to go with the shorts I was getting for my daughter and she looked like she could have cared less about helping me! Very stuck up acting and like I wasn't good enough to be spending money in there! Ok I was also talking to my neighbor today in our front yard and she had the same experience happen to her. Someone followed her around the store and had them be very rude to her as well. She is a 56 year old flight attendant and dresses and also looks nice. I would spend any money in this store because you can find the cute items online or somewhere else...I am sure we aren't the only ones that have had these experiences in this store! read more
