I usually do an easy all over color and it comes out fine. I decided I wanted to lighten my hair and saw a "highlighter for dark hair" and tried it out. Well, HOT ROOTS is an understatement as to what my hair looked like when I was done with it. I was at a loss. Didn't know what to do, had never experienced this before and felt hopeless. I had a recent nightmare happen at a DIFFERENT salon and was wary of going anywhere but I needed help. I work at a place where I have to be fashionably correct. So, I googled "best hairdresser in AZ" and the list I opened had Bangz at the very top! So I called and spoke to Jamie. She heard me out, understood my dilemma and found a miraculous way to squeeze me in SAME DAY!!! She worked on my hair for hours, in between her pre-scheduled clients, and not just "made it look okay" but fixed my roots, the rest of my hair (including a trim and giving me a style to work with now) and had my hair looking and feeling absolutely amazing! I am astonished at the kindness of Jamie, first and foremost. To do everything she could to help me, a new client, never even been there before. Not berating me for what I had done and spending the time to teach me about what I did wrong, what I can do in the future, showing me how to style my hair etc.. Secondly, I am astounded at her talent and knowledge and demeanor about the entire art of dressing hair. In one session she turned my ORANGE roots to a nice deep red color and pulled through some highlights (properly) to even out the tone with the rest of my deep red hair and through a simple trim, without taking much hair off at all, reshaped and styled my hair, layers, and bangs. She took her time, she showed me what to do, explaining things along the way, she was honestly THEE best hairdresser I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I may not have the money to go back all the time, but you can bet your ass I will always see her before anyone else (including myself) !!!! I cannot thank her enough! I am really happy with my new look and so is everyone else. All over a huge mistake in my own bathroom. I am excited to go back in the near future to continue the journey to lighten my hair to my desired shade. *Everything happens for a reason* xoxo

When I came to Abloom, I instantly knew that I'd found MY PEOPLE. They do special treatments using coconut oil & essential oils, and you can buy all-natural sugar scrubs, deodorant and perfume. They even use natural soap in the bathroom, and make many efforts to be "green". Alex has taught me ways to style my hair with very little product, and no heat! To me, this is the kind of stuff a true organic salon should be doing. These are the kinds of things that are important to my values & ethics, and I love that I've found a place that respects those same things. As far as my actual hair, I've only gotten cuts & styles here, and they've done a beautiful job every time. I always leave very happy. I didn't have that issue at all here! Victoria did such an amazing job with listening to my wants and needs for my hair and she DELIVERED. I asked for a long layered haircut, keeping as much of the length but still cutting a good amount off the dead ends. She was also so sweet & makes great conversation which is so appreciated since I always feel so awkward going to salons where they don't talk to you at all lol. I have to give an honorable mention to the amazing blowout she gave my hair!! Idk why I feel like no one gives my hair a good blowout but this one was chefs kiss!! She recommended some color for my hair with a glaze to make it look healthier. My hair is so brittle and I'm really self conscious about it. I got the color glaze and a very minimal trim.
