I have known about this place for a while now but never went in. I've never seen so much bark in my life. I purchased some cookies. They are super sweet and are a cake/cookie hybrid. Very dense. I sampled two of the barks. The orange was nice. The jalapeño one though, oh man, I liked it a lot. Friendly service, cute interior, and lots of options. The pickles caught my eye but maybe I'll buy some next time. Anyway, I'll be back. My waistline might not like the place but life is tough. Andre took extremely good care of us during our first visit to Lizzie Lu! He gave outstanding recommendations, tips to their products & is an excellent employee! We got to sample some of the barks which we're outstanding! For sure try the dreamsycle, we also got some chocolate covered cherries bark to share with a friend. The containers are super cute as well. They have an amazing assortment of goodies to try. The apples are huge, with multiple layers of chocolate and toppings on them. Give them about an hour before cutting/biting into them as they do store them in the fridge/freezer. My husband also got a peach drink that he enjoyed! They had popcorns, candies, cookies & a few other things we wanted to try but with our plans for the day we opted for what we could get with heading to a friends. What an amazing little gem to find! I happened to eat lunch yesterday at a restaurant right next to this place and as I was leaving I was like.... Hmmmm.... Let me check this spot out. It's a candy store I've never seen before. The customer service was great; the girl working the counter was so helpful and then the owner came out and started helping out as well. She gave a little background on her business, how it started, and basically I stayed and hung out trying things and buying things. She offers normal packaged candies, as well as everything else she makes in house. They have popcorns, clusters, shookies, toffees, huge assortment of barks, candied apples, candied grapes, koolaid pickles and juices. The red hot bark, grouch bark, sweet and salty bark and cookies and cream bark were my favorites. The butter shookie is amazing! And the granola grapes are sooooo good. Who knew candied grapes?!?! I was leaving the grocery and saw Lizzie Lu Luxury Treats and being that I love sweets I decided to stop in and try it out. I was greeted with a warm hello from the back of the store, but I didn't see anyone and then pops out the bubbly young woman that officially greeted me and asked did I need any help. I proceeded to look around and saw all of these treats from common candy, homemade chocolate, gourmet popcorn, cheesecake, cookies, flavored lemonades( which were simply amazing b/c I was provided a couple samples), and so much more. The staff was knowledgeable and super nice and come to find out the the lady that greeted me was Lizzie herself. I highly recommend checking this place out. Wow. This place is heaven if you have a sweet tooth! I tried the german chocolate shookie, butter cake, and bought the Green Machine beverage. The highlight of my purchase was the butter cake. The cake was one of the best I ever tasted. It was fresh, moist, flavorful, and affordable for $13. I definitely will be ordering me another cake for all events/holidays. Let me tell you, the butter cake is definitely Thanksgiving table worthy and cookout ready!! It's literally tastes like your grandma made it herself from scratch. The packaging of all items and the decor of the store was so cute and professional. You can tell the owner takes pride in her work and is very detail oriented. We saw the owner and she was so friendly , professional, and personable as she serviced customers. To me, seeing her positive spirit and excitement about her business made a great first impression. There is so much to offer here. This place is perfect for gifts, any type of shower, weddings, and parties etc. It is not on my diet, but I will be back lol. The place is addictive. Definitely want to try all the shookies in all flavors, try the candy grapes, puddings, and the kool-aid pineapples. Bring the entire family. Something for everyone here. The store is very cute and fun. It's very colorful and inviting when you walk inside. Your eyes go all over the place and you are immediately excited to buy something. However, the items are pretty pricey and your bill adds up fast. The treats are cuter than they taste. The owner's mom is amazing, and makes your experience very joyful. B it, the owner herself doesn't seem to be as pleasant. There is a cold case near the register that has candy apples and banana pudding inside and sometimes gets foggy due to condensation where you are unable to see through the case. I used my finger to wipe away the condensation so I could see inside and was immediately sternly told by the owner to not do that! Well how am I supposed to see inside the case ma'am?! That was a huge turn off. I'm a customer, not your employee nor your child. I didn't break or ruin anything, I simply wiped the condensation away so I could see which items I wanted to purchase. My bill came out to almost $100, so I didn't appreciate as a paying customer (or not) to be treated in that manner. Even though the store is very cute and aesthetically pleasing, I will most likely not return. read more
