RJE Review I can't…read moresay enough about my experience with RJE. I sustained some storm damage back in June 2020 when a tree fell in my backyard pulling down the power lines. The power lines pulled the siding off of the back of my house and caused damage to the roof and interior wall(s). The fallen tree also caused damage to my shed, gate and a chainlink fence. I chose RJE Home Remodelong over another company mainly due to proximity as I had no previous knowledge of them. l feel like I definitely made the right choice under the circumstances. I sat down with Anthony(Estimator) and Chris(Project Manager) after having some initial conversations with Christin(Office Manager). Anthony oversaw the estimates and was very thorough. Surveying my entire house, inside and out from rooftop to the ground. I had some initial delays because of some insurance company red tape but once work started it was smooth sailing. The scope of work was determined, timeline established then the job was executed starting with a new roof. Chris oversaw the actual work. He had great communication, always kept me updated, made great recommendations and everyone always showed up on time and their respective jobs were done with a high degree of skill and in a timely manner. Total job(new roof, new siding, 2 tree removals, paint interior walls and replace chainlink fence) took about a month to complete and I was very happy with the finished product. I would highly recommend RJE and actually have. Great communication, great service, good people and quality work.

We like to support family owned local businesses. The owner Jeff came out to our home with LVP…read moreflooring samples. He was so nice & friendly. Jeff was very knowledgeable. He advised as a home with pets, LVP is the best flooring option. It is durable. He said it would last 20 years. We signed a contract to have LVP flooring installed on the main floor and upstairs in the bedrooms. The installers worked quickly. Initially the floors looked beautiful. By the 2nd year, some of the tiles started separating. Some tiles were chipping, some were splintering. We didnt understand this as Jeff said this is the best floor and will last 20 years. After researching we discovered our subfloors are not flat. So, the contractor would need to do prep work & level the subfloor before laying the tile. National Floor Covering did not level the surface before laying the tiles. Thats how they got the entire project done in two days. This also explains why the floors are separately, chipping & splintering througout my house. You would think that a flooring company that is in business over 30 years would know this. These floors cost us over $8,000 and they are ruined. In July 2025, we called the owner Jeff, who was not good at responding. He finally came out to the house to take a look. He acted baffled and said he had no idea why the floor did that. He said it must be "defective" tiles. I asked him could it be that the floor is not flat. He said no, as they are "floating" flooring thats made to adjust. Jeff said he would check with the manufacturer to see if it was still available. Well, he went MIA . I had to call & text him multiple times to get him to respond. Then he said he wanted to bring his installer over. That took forever as he was not responding to us. He came out with his installer. We set a date in late November 2025. Our heater broke and we were forced to cancel. It took alot to get it rescheduled for early January 2026. Then, we had a family medical emergency. We were forced to cancel again. Since then, Jeff has been unresponsive. Also- when Jeff came out & showed us samples, the samples were much thicker, probably double the thickness of the floor we received. We feel he did a bait & switch. It is now April 2026 and there has been no resolve to these horribly damaged floors. It is very clear good customer service is not a priority when problems arise. They are not an honest company. ​ We have decided we dont trust a flooring company that has been in business 30 years, charged us $8000, and wont take accountability for the fact they gave us a cheap thin floor, and laid the flooring on a non flat surface​​ causing all of it to separate, chip & splinter all through the house. They are very attentive until there's a problem. We have decided we would rather find a truly reputable company to install new flooring correctly. And this time we are more informed and know what questions to ask. Jeff is friendly, but dont be fooled. They do not install flooring properly, nor do they care to make sure they fix their mistakes. It cost me $8000, so buyer beware.

When we discovered the problem, I immediately started researching contractors because I knew that I'd need a solid, timely quote to continue negotiating the deal. Based off positive reviews online, I contacted Dave Condon on a Saturday morning via text and he responded to me within 10 minutes. I was floored, given that contractors are generally tough to deal with. Dave and the moisture inspection company helped me a lot in understanding the issues so I could negotiate with the seller and encouraged me to stand my ground. We eventually worked out a deal and closed on the house, but all of the stone needed to be replaced. Dave set us up with addresses of homes in the area so that we could look at different colors and styles in person. If you're approaching a similar job, I encourage you to do the same because it makes a difference seeing the material up on a house. We ordered our stone, which took a few weeks to come in, and Dave's crew started the job. From start to finish, there were no surprises. Dave's crew worked efficiently, was there on time when they said they'd be, and did excellent work. A crew of six did all the demo and had it done in two days. The entire project took two weeks, which was precisely the schedule Dave had given us at the start of the job. Along the way Dave explained where the problem areas were and why they had appeared. What sets Dave apart is his communication. He was always proactive in letting us know what was going on. Another note on Dave's stone guys -- they did a phenomenal job of laying the stone so the pattern looked fantastic. You may notice that the same stone on two different houses can look very different because it's laid by different crews. Some look great and some may look patchy. Dave's guys were real artists and did a great job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire C&C again and have recommended them to friends.
