Honestly I had only been into an earthbound once at a different location, but this experience will certainly set the bar for more visits! I hate that I didn't get the associates names, but more than one of them were friendly and helpful! There was a young lady that I connected with seamlessly, when I told her what I was looking for she was able to show me all of my options! Not only was she personable, and friendly, but she was knowledgeable. Her energy was amazing! Of course with that kind of energy I was basically yelling take my money! But honestly there was no salesperson pressure, just knowledge and expertise and making sure I knew what was available to me. This is honestly what customer service is made of and we need more of! Even though I live an hour away, I would so make this the only location I'd shop at. Now the place was the usual earthy feel, very packed full with so much to take in. It can be overwhelming, but you are sure to find something great! There were a lot of different sales going on within the store, and the associates even offered to "find" a sale that fit my needs. Target has some clothing but it has positioned itself as a multiple personality building by including with its home furnishings a grocery store and pharmacy, too. I can't understand why we people in a city the size of Athens still have to drive to Atlanta to shop at other national brand department stores, so it's good that Belks has stayed here. This Belk store has several of the popular and quality brands in SOME of its departments -but it seems to be more like an outlet store for Belks in the women's clothing departments -with lots of crowded sales racks. The sales personnel are polite and friendly in all departments, and most are very experienced. If you find something you like, but not the right size or color -they will check online and help you order what you need & have it sent to your home. There is lots of free parking space, some of it is in the shade. The store is clean and generally well maintained. Returns are very easy. This store anchors the almost-deserted mall that keeps being promised to improve. Athens has been waiting for someone to return this mall to the busy, popular, profitable place it once was. They had multiple choices on the premises to try out and many others available in their warehouse. Purchase: Prices were similar to other businesses. Prices for new mattresses on a sale were a good value. After purchase: They arranged a convenient delivery time when my parents could be home and were right on time. Quickly removed old mattresses and put new ones in the beds. Very polite and professional delivery men (Cameron and Dakota). Price for delivery/removal was about 10% less than other mattress places quoted. We made a purchase and today Cam and Dakota delivered and installed 2 twin adjustable bases and 2 twinxl mattresses inside our own bed frame in 20 minutes- they were fast organized and efficient and very friendly. I've honestly never dealt with such rude and unprofessional behavior at Target before. The employee…read more"helping us" was Taliah or however you spell it. She was incredibly disrespectful from the start. We needed help at checkout because our items had security tags, and there was no one available. The only employee around was standing by the returns area doing nothing but talking with co workers. When my girlfriend went up to ask for help, Taliah immediately had an attitude. When my girlfriend turned her back and walked away, Taliah made a comment under her breath, and shook her head like we were inconveniencing her just for asking for assistance. Then we were left standing there for about seven minutes while she continued doing whatever she was doing. When she finally came over, she acted like helping us was a burden. No apology, no urgency, just a rude, dismissive attitude the entire time. If you don't want to help customers, you shouldn't be working in customer service. This was a terrible experience, and if I was looking for an employee to not hire and promote it would be her.
