Careful hiring these people. They are not truthful. They have scattered workers that may show up and may not. Our painting had do be redone due to walls not cleaned properly . there were dust hair iand lint in paint. Plumber came to install the kitchen sink and done it wrong. My husband had to spend more money to fix. Our kitchen is still not complete. We had to end our business with them. Ernie nice guy talks a lot. A lot that comes out of his mouth are mostly lies. Allison in office is a little flakie, dont trust her either. Was coming to see the job being done, haven't see her yet. We had never done any remodeling before and I know I was a pest about the details, but Alison and Ernie were patient and reassuring and helped us through the process. It turned out beautiful! Ernie and Alison coordinated the whole thing so well that we were never without use of our kitchen except for a few hours during the installation. I know people that have used other companies and have been without their kitchen for over 6 months waiting for all the various jobs to come together. We hired Oconee Granite and Design to do a complete kitchen re-model. Fix some of the floors, cabinets, electrical, countertops, lighting, sink, hardware. We had to fire them half way through. First, they did not fix the floor. They put the cabinets on top of the missing laminate. They would have left it that way till I pointed it out. They could have easily replaced the board when it was demoed. We asked for a spice and trey rack. It was in the plans. They told us after they installed the cabinets they could not get them for us. But then said they could get them for us for extra money. The shelves for the pantry they provided were not the shelves from the manufacturer. They were poorly cut (something they cut in the back of the shop with a bad blade). I argued they were not, but Ernie swore they were. When I went to put the shelves in, they barely fit in the clips. They were several inches too short so when the shelf moved the shelf fell through. Kind of dangerous with kids and canned goods. I had to get a different cabinet shop to provide me with the right shelves, of course for a cost, $200. We have a separate oven with drop in stovetop. Even though they measured the appliances, the cabinets they installed left a space for an oven range combo. They had to create a make shift box for the oven, which still does not fit in properly. The countertops were a joke. They were laughable. I have a small kitchen. They did not make a template. Ernie just measured using a tape measure. They brought in four separate slabs. Two of the four slabs were only a couple of feet long. Where the first seam met there was a 2 1/2 inch chip in the side of the counter top. The last seem bowed where they forced the two slabs together. I put a level on the seam and it see-sawed. They installed the sink incorrectly so they had the countertop butting up to the edge of the sink, and then caulking the gap between the sink and the countertop. It is a farm house sink. The only proper way is to under mount. They tried pushing the countertop closer to the sink by pulling it away from the wall, so there was this inch gap between the countertop and the wall. The installers they used cut the countertop in the house. It looked like it snowed in my kitchen. It took a week to clean the dust. This is where I fired them. I ended up getting a different company to install the countertop. I ordered the exact same countertop. It came in two slabs. It is amazing the difference. But I am not done. We had paid them to get the electrical ready for the stove and oven. He did not do that. He just removed the box and re-installed a wrong box and left the wires there. We also paid to have an extra outlet put in. The electrician actually left the live wire in the wall behind the cabinets. The wires to the outlets and light switch had no power going to them. I'm glad the breaker was off till we figured that out. They could have burned down the house. It cost us $1013 for an electric company to come in and correct it. Oconee Granite and Design really has no business being in this line of work. They did nothing with quality or care. There is obvious disconnect between Allison and they rest of the crews. It seems she is telling you one thing and them a different thing. I tried to hire someone to help walk me through this process, thinking I hired professionals and they come in and disrespect my home this way. You would do better going with a different company. read more

Proceed with caution. They installed my floor and were also supposed the install a threshold. The threshold was installed but not the right way. Ernie called and said that he will personally take care of it and asked that I pay the flooring install less $250.00 for the threshold and he would come back to fix it later. I've texted him multiple times and he will not respond. It's like he made his profit on me and moved on. It should be noted that I went over the importance of this threshold before we started the job and it was a point of contention before we moved forward. Now, whenever it rains, I have a huge puddle of water on my new floor. I don't need the money back for bad work, I need my threshold installed correctly. I look at the way companies respond through problems to determine who's good and who isn't. This is one company I would suggest you avoid at all cost. read more

Regret ever getting involved with these people, one star is not deserving of them , they took over this project from someone named Dustin who was no better, started out with falsely saying when he would start , no call or contact shows up a day later I had all top cabinets down, doors and drawers off of base before he shows , the painter he hired painted without sweeping or cleaning before painting, top edges of all windows and doors left unpainted with dust on them where it collects, the plumber was to hook up new sink drain and new dishwasher, neither was done but paid for! I had to scrape all trash out of walls repainted kitchen and utility room, pantry door wasn't painted on back side along floor trim, the backsplash was installed with no protection over new counter tops mud and grout left for me to clean, backsplash not finished to vent hood but paid for ! Ernie cusses me for catching him lying , never ask what they could do to make it right, don't mind at all for taking money for incomplete work , hope this save someone from this kind treatment, this is all true , not a disgruntled customer , this actually happened, it's how they operate read more
