I'm in the middle of a big construction project and needed hardwood flooring. I had gone into LL a couple of times and always had good service, but the last time I dealt with the store manager, Luke. He was looking up some pricing for me when other customers walked in. Without ever making me feel like he was dropping his focus from me, he excused himself and quickly greeted the new customers to let them know he was available for whatever they needed. In a flash he was back to me...it was so perfect the way he juggled both. As a salesperson myself I could appreciate this. But as a customer who has been ignored time and time again and give bad or no customer service I could not let it go by without giving him and the store a shout out! We thought we had found a great place to purchase LVP flooring for the homes of 2 relatives. We found what we liked at a decent price, and what appeared to be great customer service. However, that was the end of anything positive. 2 weeks later, we called back to the store to make the first purchase with the young man that originally helped us find what we needed - only to find he didn't work there any more. OK, that happens.... but then my husband ended up working with another person that we hadn't met at the store. He seemed nice - and he took the order. This person also informed my husband that we could have the flooring delivered and actually unloaded INTO the home (in 2 different rooms), so that the installer wouldn't have to carry it in. The price for this was their "flat rate" of $299. My husband was informed this was their "Inside Delivery - White Glove" service. We figured since we'd already spent $3000 on flooring, adding this delivery cost was worth it to save the installer time. In fact, here's what is stated about this service on their website: "Inside delivery is our 'White Glove' full-service delivery into your home up to 75 miles from shipping store and up to 10,000 lbs. This delivery includes delivery of your flooring and accessories into two rooms of your choice. The delivery personnel will also break down the shipping debris and remove it from your property. Proper in-home delivery requires the home to have a cleared, safe, accessible walkway to access your delivery space. The delivery team will also need a large, cleared area in at least two rooms to disperse your materials properly according to total weight. Inside delivery is preferable for most flooring materials to allow the flooring to properly acclimate to your home's temperature before installation." One thing I should mention is that although the order was placed at this location, it was actually delivered by store #1406 (Altamonte Springs, FL) because the relative's home getting the new floor is located in Winter Park. On the day of delivery, the truck did show up - it was a large truck with only one order on it - ours. Our installer was there waiting and was informed that the driver would NOT be carrying the order into the condo - instead, he placed it in the parking lot, 3 DOORS DOWN from the condominimum in which it belonged. No apology, no explanation - just unloaded it and left. He placed it where it was temporarily in the shade, but no thought of it ending up in the sun, let alone RAIN or theft or damage from cars in the lot. When my husband called the Sarasota store to complain (since this is the store that offered this "special" service) he was told that he had been given a deal (he never asked for the service, it was an upsell) - with the insulting attitude that they did US a favor! My husband was only offered a $50 refund - hardly equivalent to the service that was not provided. Essentially, he was told - too bad, so sad. If this is what they consider good customer service? We had at least 2 other homes for which we are planning to re-floor - but we will definitely find another vendor. With this attitude and representation, this company will be liquidating more than their lumber - apparently, there customers are expendable. Obviously - we will never go back and hope that no one we know will go there either! read more

Visiting the store, selecting the flooring and purchasing was a breeze. Everyone was very accommodating. Then came the installers. They were at my mother's apartment for 13 hours! Said they couldn't come back the next day. They left the apartment a mess, beds not reassembled properly, heavy nightstand left in the bathroom. They couldn't use the shop vac in a condo at 11:30 at night, so they left the place in shambles. My mom is in her 90's and didn't need this. She called 3 times about the left over materials and was told that he's looking for someone to pick it up. No one ever came. When I called I was told that it was $300 to pick it up! I was told one of the unopened boxes was not returnable because it was being discontinued. At purchase we were told that any unopened box could be returned. Their prices are good but not worth the stress, aggravation, and mess the left. read more

I have to say that I've dealt with my share of unresponsive flooring companies in my past but these guys are not one of them. They are out of Tampa and called and came when they said they would. Moreover, when a very small section next to the linen closet got missed, after we all thought the job was done, the boss came down the next day to do it himself. I am tremendously impressed with LL Flooring! I worked with Brandon and Tucker in June 2022. I wanted to get my master bedroom carpet replaced with wood flooring before our new bedroom furniture arrived. We had only a month to accomplish this. Other flooring companies in Sarasota told me that it would take a month to receive the wood - if we were lucky enough to choose something the mill had in stock, and another month to schedule an installer. I asked Tucker if LL Flooring had anything in stock locally and one item he had was VM WB Blue Ridge Oak. My husband and I loved it! We purchased the flooring on June 19th and picked it up 6/21(saving a $250 delivery fee). Tucker scheduled the installation. The installers removed carpet on 6/28 and found that our closet had a different floor- it had been a poly pebble patio previously so they had a specialist "float the floor" to level it the next day on 6/29. He was pulled off another job. The wood was installed on 6/30 and everyone who has seen it thinks it is gorgeous! The flooring has a 50 year guarantee. We got engineered hardwood and are very happy with it. Our first company quoted us $9,000 for a similar product. Tucker rang us up for $2,479.54. We payed another $900 to have the floor leveled. We are SO GRATEFUL for the perfect job and that the installers/craftsmen had enough pride in their work to do the job right. D0N'T BE FOOLED BY INITIAL LOW PRICE!!!!! The salesman referred me to a product that was more durable and expensive than the Brazilian cherry. I later found out that he was the installer which was not part of lumber liquidator. The floor had to be ripped up twice due to poor installation. It also buckled and split in certain areas. After calling regarding the warranty they sent an independent inspector who determined it was "site" problem and that there was 60percent humidity. We feel if it was a site problem that it was up to the installer to have identified that and inform us since he told the inspector that he had done a humidity reading which he couldn't produce. We have since put in an upgraded thermostat with humidity readings that show humidity at 54 percent humidity( which is within the manufacturers guidelines). We are now stuck with a $4500 floor that we need to pay someone else to repair and refinish! read more

I did my homework before I did any wood floor shopping. L/L was my 3rd, and last stop. Any questions I had were answered and I have a lovely floor. First off I have been into the Lumber Liquidators on 22nd ave n. in st peters burg twice looking at samples of hardwood flooring for my newly remodeled, soon to be completed up stairs (about 850 square feet), I have never bought anything from this store but I can say there was something about this place that felt weird to me. I thought the bellawood samples looked beautiful in the showroom but were no where near being even reasonable or low cost as their logo says "Hard Wood Soft Prices", I think they should change it to "Hard Wood Harder Prices" The Brazilian Bella Hardwood that I was interested in was $6.59 sq foot X 850 sq ft = alittle over $5500.00 just for floor product not including the stair molding and bullnose material , I figured about another $1500 for that then another $3000.00 or so for labor. That's alot of money for new wood, approx $10,000.00 when its all said and done i figured. I was looking on line for other places that sold flooring when I found a reseller ratings web site, I could not believe how many people have beeen pissed off by Lumber Liquidators, its unbelievable, then I specifically went looking for customer reviews of this place else where and what I found was unbelievable, 100s 100s of negative reviews every where I looked, so bad I am not going to buy anything from them. My gut was telling me something when I was in the store and now I am going to follow it, I cant afford to make a $10,000.00 mistake. Do yourself a favor and google Lumber liquidators and reviews. Company does NOT stand behind the product. Purchased a beautiful stranded bamboo, followed all their instructions including letting the floor acclimate to the home before installation, check for moisture, use specific glue...2/3 of the floor looks awesome, the balance is cupping...and they will not address it...after weeks of no answer from their corporate offices, dropped calls, missed calls, no return calls, 3 months almost to the day we get a form letter telling us they are not responsible, and that we must have missed some moisture reading that they are not responsible for...bogus!!!...their Ad says to contact their CEO and founder Tom Sullivan...we did...guess what he did?..he bounced our complaint right back to the unprofessional "manager" who wouldn't return our calls or send an inspector out to look at our "problem"...Buyer BE VERY AWARE....this is a loser of an organization looking to sell you crap and then blame you for any issues that come up after... read more
