This place never lets you down. I had a low tire pressure light go on on my dash last week at night so I decided I'd take care of it in the morning. Well, when I got in my car to go to work it got worse! My dash now specifically displayed a picture of my car with the front right tire being highlighted to have an issue. I kept it calm and decided to s ive it carefully to Llantera Soto Tires by my work. Thank goodness they open as early as 6:30am!!! So I pulled in and the owner's husband checked all 4 tires in under 10 minutes and said all 4 were just low on air pressure and the front right had the lowest pressure but that he'd filled them all back up. He said it was just $10 for the air and on my way I went to work without wasting a whole half day trying to figure out a solution or get an appointment somewhere. This place has saved me now 2x from a tire disaster. I'd even go as far as to say they are my tire guardian angels. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone in East LA and beyond! What do you do at 6:15 in the morning when you're at the halfway point of your 32 mile commute and the low tire-pressure warning pops up saying your have 20psi left in your tire? You go to the only tire shop in the area that is OPEN. But not only were they open, they were kind, courteous, helpful, and professional. I had a frustrating experience at Llantera Soto Inc. I came in around 6am with a small hole in my tire, hoping for a simple patch. Instead, they refused to repair it and tried to pushed me to buy a new/used tire. I felt pressured and disappointed with their service. I won't be returning and can't recommend them. I could hear the tire wheezing and discovered one teeny tiny shard of glass on the bottom of the tire. I ended up at Soto Tire and Sebastian was the only employee visibly there. He quoted $25 to patch my tire but when he took it off and 'inspected' the tire he explained the glass wouldn't be able come out all the way and there will still be some glass left behind. He marked the shard of glass with yellow. He quoted me the price of a new tire and told me it was the only way because he could not patch mine. I said no thank you. Sebastian charged me $20 for the trouble of taking my tire off and inspecting it. I paid cash but he wouldn't give me a receipt. I drove to another nearby tire shop and they removed the glass shard, patched the tire from the inside and gave me service with a smile for $20 total. 15 minutes later I was on the road again. read more

5 stars well deserved I was in need of tires for my SUV, I had brought my own tires that I purchased online but the man, I assume he owns the tire shop, reviewed the tires and said I had the wrong ones which I did but glad that I did because he came through he quickly got the size of my tires front/back and 5 min later he brought back samples of what they had in stock gave me brand names specifically and each price. I quickly chose which ones and he sent his wife to bring them from a warehouse said it would take an hour which is fine. Super quick and efficient and honest. Very friendly owner who doesnt come shady or tough like some of the other body shop owners. Opens earlier than any tire shop around. Drove in and was immediately greeted and assisted me right away. Fixed my flat tire for $15 which is a very reasonable price for a patch job. I asked him about one of my other questionable tire that kept losing pressure and be checked that for me as well. The main person I interacted with was welcoming, politely reminded me they needed the special wheel lock socket in order to remove the wheel, and waited patiently as I fumbled around the trunk trying to locate it. After a month of having to put air in my left back tire every other day, I finally decided to get it looked at today Like an idiot, I was hoping to just patch it, but it turned out I needed to replace the two back tires. Called my apa for some advice before I purchased, and after a regañada, "cuantas veces te e dicho que no manejes el carro con las llantas bajas," he said the dude (Sebastian) was probably right and to go ahead and replace them. He also told me to ask about the new tire warranty and to have the tires rotated. And since I work with kids and plan to use them in our playground, Sebastian was nice enough to mark the spots of all the damage I had done by riding on them deflated, so I could show my dad... yeah, and get another regañada hard pass. Truly outstanding service. My tires were slowly losing air even after filling and a good friend recommended Llantera Soto. Everyone was very kind and had masks on and were respecting distance, which helped me feel comfortable right away. I thought it might just be a patch job but I needed all four wheels replaced because they were older than I thought. They were able to get me a whole new set at a great price and got the job done super fast. I think I only waited 15 minutes after they started in a cute shaded bench area. I'm young and dumb with my car so I really appreciate being able to go to a trustworthy service in my neighborhood for great repair work I can afford. I called them looking for some used runflat tires that they said they had for a lease return on my BMW. I asked about the conditions because I needed them to have 5/32 of tread. I called four times at different times during the day over two days if they could measure the tread so I didn't have to take the 1 hour Drive. The woman manager kept telling me they were in great condition and they were too (slammed) busy to do that for me. So I made the 1 hr drive in traffic to inspect the tires and they were of course under 4/32 on both tires and a big waste of my time. It would of taken 10 seconds to do the measurement. But of course she offered to sell me some new tires at $350 each since the used ones were no good! Ya sure! Right? Scum bag! read more

$10 for 7min well worth it! We've been coming here for decades; I had 2 small nails in the same tire! Fortunately only 1 punctured (3mm) so it was just $10! (Had it been two punctures would've been $15) The owner is friendly & talkative, just like his pet birds! Mikey (his grandson) takes literally 7min from the moment they dismount the tire to put the car back down with a perfectly patched tire! It's the owners daughters who work the office & are funny gals. I wish they did more mechanics as they are trustworthy, honest, don't overcharge, ample hours, super fast & quality work. read more

Best tire shop ever. I've had a couple instances where I've been in the area and either had to bring my car or recommend a friend to come here and they've always taken care of us. Friendly staff make it easy to understand what they are doing and theyd never tried to raise up the price on us. Also the lady that runs the shop and her daughter is super sweet and always make sure to give me all my options with honest advice. I wouldn't take or recommend any other tire shop!! Terrible place, rude, don't honor their work, and they hang up on you. I've spent 5 years buying used tires for my car and this place is the pits. I have a very common tire size, they only had three used ones left, one of which already had next to no tread. No discount for the bad one, so I only got two (still less tread than I usually get... very used). The next day one of the tires they put on was COMPLETELY flat, not an ounce of air in it. I called to see if they would refund or fix it, or something to honor their work. The owner lady insisted that I ran over or hit something, said there was no warranty, said I should bring it in but also said that no matter what they found, there would be no compensation (what's the point of towing it halfway across town then?). Once it became clear that she had no interest in helping and I said, " hey, this is a $20 dispute, do you really want the BBB and Yelp and everywhere else to know about this?" she said I'd already said that and then hung up on me. I had NOT mentioned anything of the sort, or hinted at it... she must get that a lot though. LA is FULL of tire places. Go anywhere but here. I have 5 years of no problems with a variety of other places, it's this one that is a problem. Don't take the risk, go somewhere else. Anywhere else. read more
