Came to get my tire patched yesterday and this was the closest place to me at the time. Charged me $20 to patch it and by the end of the night my psi was at 10. Called back the next day to see what they could do since they did not patch it right and the guy tells me to come back and he'll see what he can do but I am unable to come back because I obviously have a flat tire and I live far from their shop, I just happened to be in the area when the incident happened. So I call back and ask him for a refund because I realized I wouldn't be able to make it back and he very rudely says "yea I can give you a refund just chill, don't call here doing all that fucking-" and then hangs up mid sentence lol. Rolling on the freeway to work and heard a small pop noise. My car tells me my back tire is slowly losing pressure. I pull off the freeway, jump on yelp and find a tire shop around the corner. 20 min later a piece of hard plastic is pulled out of the tire, it's patched up and I'm back on the road. I come to Express Tire Service once in a while ONLY because it is the most convenient tire service location. I usually come here for patching a tire, tire rotation, or swapping tires. You want tires? I suggest going to Tirerack.com and getting yourself so name brand tires such as Bridgestone or BF Goodrich. My dad has bought tires from Express Tire and they all remind me of Firestone tires. They just mysteriously pop on you for no good reason, especially if you get a brand that no one in the world but Express Tire Service has heard of. The boss is a cool guy and he will charge you cheap for patching a tire or tire rotation...BUT there is this one worker there that charges double for tire patching. I bet he pockets the money! Usually tire patching is $5.00 but when he gets a hold of your tire, expect to pay $10. The prices are never fixed. It all depends on which employee helps you out. read more

HASSTLE-FREE, GOOD QUALITY SERVICE!! First time coming to a mechanic in a long time. My mom's Chevy Sonic car was having some mechanical issues kept having to jump start it. My friend recommended this shop to me. Came in and met Gabriel, the shop owner. Super cool guy. Grew up in the area. He diagnosed the car had an altenator problem and that it needed replacement. He gave me a quote on the spot that was affordable and since he gets his parts from autozone it came with a warranty. Came in the next day and had the job done in 4 hours. Couple days later car turned off again. Called Gabriel and he told me to come in so he could check it out. Issue was worked out. Turns out it was the battery that also needed replacement. I called Chevrolet in Glendale, they told me they work only on reservation and to go elsewhere. I called America's Tire, they were unsympathetic and told me to come by for a 2 hour wait. Came here to fix my breaks on a Saturday morning, I was the first to arrive and it took them like a hour to open the place and like 2 to "fix" my breaks. When the car was "ready" I heard a noise but I though it wasn't important. I drove to San Diego and the breaks were making worst noises than before, I came back to let them know and they said it was the way I drive. Cmon a good work should leave any car making noises. Anyways he told me that we wasn't going to be able to fix it that day. I came several times and I received the same response. I came early on a Friday asking for an appointment and he said come back tomorrow at 10:00. I arrived at 10:00 and they took forever to received my car. She came to change tires and fix alignment but these guys made very odd comments to her and made her feel very uncomfortable and so that's y she called me. They told her alignment would be 40 $ but they can charge her '$20 dollars with chinese food". I just told her to leave if they keep messing with you and don't give them buisness. I do not condone these kind of behavior and so they lost me as a customer as well. They r good for the cheap price depending which employee helps you. i have been bringing cars here for 7 years they fix flats cheap and even install tires you bought elsewhere but i read another review talking about the quality or brand tires they sell but doesent make sense to me .. express soes sell no name (they have a name but you just havent heard of them before ) and they do sell good name brand tires it depends on what you want to spend i have bought goodyear falken and other brands from them but i havent tried any of the cheaper tires because a tire is a important part of your car and why would you cheap out ? remember you get what you pay for .. and if you bought junk you will get junk quality .. they also sell used tires to get you by in a pinch but as always check them out before you get them installed read more

Normally don't spend my time writing reviews on here, but I wanted to give Gabriel at Express Tire a big shoutout! My alternator kicked the bucket on me one day driving home from work, so I had to get off the 110 immediately and find the nearest place. Most places were closing at this time, but Gabriel heard about my problem over the phone and encouraged me to bring the car over and he would figure out a solution for me. Even though there was no space in the bays overnight, he took it off-site so that I would have peace of mind about the safety of my vehicle (instead of sitting out on the open in the parking lot for the night). The next day, he communicated with me throughout the day and tried to get the best price for the alternator that was required. He ended up having it done by the end of the day and I was able to snag the car just in time for the Friday night concert I had plans for! Just in time! So I checked this business out here on Yelp; some good, some bad, but they are local to me, I moved to this area about a year ago, I'm not still in Inglewood, so I called them up and spoke with Gabriel. He gave me a decent quote that was actually $10 less than another store in Pasadena for tires with a better mileage warranty; 55K versus 40K. So I drove over and about 40 minutes later I had my new tires. After I paid, I asked Gabriel how much he charged for a diagnostic test and he asked if my check engine light was on; it was. He said I can check it out right now; I said I didn't have the money for it right then, but he said no problem, I'll just hook my little tool to your computer to see what it says. Turns out my gas cap seal was probably bad, he said it was a good place to start. They also will rotate your tires for free with an oil change ($30) which is pretty good. All in all, I was impressed with their service and less than expensive deals; Gabriel knows how to keep customers coming back, I know I will. read more

I was driving down the 5 freeway and got a flat luckily I found this place right off 5 and Broadway they worked really fast found the nail in my tire patched it the right way by taking the tire off the rim and patching it from the inside didn't try to up sell me or sell me anything really, I ask the guy that fixed my tire if he could check all of my tires he aired up all my tires, and told me they all still looked good and had a lot of life left.
