Where do I start! So I have a Tesla and I ended up getting a screw embedded in one of my tires. I was freaking out thinking I would have to take it to the Tesla Service Center to have it fixed and pay an unimaginable amount. I luckily remembered to go to my trusty Yelp app and search for places that service Tesla tires. Davis Bros Tires was the first to pop up and so I sent them a message just looking to get a quote on their services. I was so surprised that they responded to me right away even though it was 9:30pm at night! I was so appreciative of their responsiveness to my questions and the fact that I could be serviced next day. So next day, I arrive at 7:30am and was greeted by a wonderful older gentleman that was at the front desk. He told me to pull my car in and that they would get to it right away. As I was waiting, I saw a few people come in and strike up conversations amongst each other. I overheard them say they only go here for their car needs and it definitely offered me some reassurance and peace of mind that I took my car to right place. After waiting for about an hour, my car tire was patched and ready to go. The gentlemen told me that it takes a bit longer to patch Tesla tires because they have foam in them. I had no idea and thanked him for the information. The price was great and I definitely will be back for anything my car needs. They are honest and sincere here and you can tell they aren't one of those places looking to rip anyone off. They have a wall of celebrities that have taken their cars there over the years and that goes to show that they take pride in their work. I own a 2021 Chevy Traverse I got a big nail in my tire, I stopped by and a nice gentleman walked up and said it will be about an hour wait I told him I would be back he added some air and said I should make sure that whomever fixed the tire to make sure they patch the inside not just the outside and because of that is the reason I went back. The worst. Sold me old, oxidized run flats. They look terrible. They look old and used and make my car look crusty. I came in with old Pirelli run flats in better shape. They said I was getting a better deal but that's because they sold me these terrible looking tires. Also, they gave an issue I didn't arrive with. And instead of recommending me to get OEM sensors, they put in theirs and they don't work. Still don't work and now I have to go to Mercedes and solve their problem without my original parts. I was leaving for work the morning of 9/19/25 and found that I had low pressure in one of my tires. I took it to Davis Bros. They checked the tire, told me it was "ruined" and gave me a quote for a new tires ranging from $179.14 to $358. The person who quoted me told me my tire had already been patched 3x and it was illegal to patch the tire again. (This is untrue, which I know because I take care of my own car - and it is NOT against the law.) I have the printed quote. My intuition told me this was not correct and I requested they put the tire back on so I could go elsewhere. They told me they would only give me a 'loaner tire' because it was unsafe to put my tire back on. I refused and had to go into the service area and demand the original tire back. Once it was back on, I drove down the street to another place that looked at the tire, said it lost a few pounds of air, filled it, and I was on my way in 10 min. The tire has been 100% fine since - it is now more than a month later. During this timeframe I've also been to the dealership for a scheduled maintenance and they found nothing wrong with the tire. My car is less than 3 yrs old. It's so disheartening to see businesses try to take advantage of customers who they assume don't know any better. Please do not go here and have them take your money dishonestly! I have been going to Davis Bros Tires on and off for years and recommended them to others. Unfortunately I will never go again after this terrible experience. UPDATE based on below response: to be clear, the tire in question had no prior damage and has never been patched before. I asked if I could come by around 7:45 AM, showed up at 8:05, dropped the car off, sat in the waiting room at 8:09, and was out by 8:35. Michael handled the check and reset. Quick, smooth, and easy. The waiting room isn't huge, but it's cozy and welcoming. It gave me the feel of a long-standing family business with a modern touch. There was even a jar of marshmallow toffee chocolate for waiting customers - took a bite and it was ridiculously good. I've been skeptical of Yelp ratings for a while now, especially in LA where service quality varies wildly. But Davis Bros absolutely lives up to their stellar 4.8 rating. Second time coming in. First time was for a flat tire, and that was great. Anyway, I called yesterday to get a quote on brake pads, rotor rotation, and a flush--spoke to Steve, who gave me a solid price compared to my dealership. So, I scheduled an appt for 8am this morning and talked to Larry mostly. He was nice, said my car would be done in 2 hours or so. When my car was done and I was paying for the service, Larry charged about $100 more than I was quoted over the phone. I should've questioned the receipt before handing payment because an item I did not even request was put on my itemized receipt. Weirddd. These guys are totally untrustworthy. I had a flat two weeks ago. They said they have to replace both back tires even though I only wanted one. They said it was guaranteed for a year. Two weeks after I had the tires replaced, that back tire is flat - no nails... it had cracked ( apparently it happens when they are left in the sun)- when I asked them to replace it they said it wasn't guaranteed. My wife has a Costco membership so we checked out their prices first, then went to Davis Bros second for a comparison. The best price on the lowest-grade tires at Costco was higher than the price for fully premium tires as Davis. That's amazing. On top of everything else these are guys with integrity who stand behind their work. I recommend paying a little premium to have your tires under extended warranty with them. One of them suggested Davis Bros. around Thanksgiving when I mentioned that I needed tires. Couldn't make it happen then but I called them to make an appointment for the next time I came down. EVERYone there is awesome! They had the tires ready when I arrived and I was out of there 30 minutes before the time they quoted.
